Firefox don't forget homepage, theme addons and some settings every time I start my laptop. I tried a lot of difficulties, but none work?
This issue started happening just after the update to Firefox 42, I think. What happens is that whenever my laptop Windows 10 boots and I start Firefox (and sometimes after the signing and to my Windows profile), the browser acts as if she just updated, and it also checks the compatibility of the addon (see image 1). I get the "Firefox + Windows 10 = perfect set" page and my home page has been reset to "search.domaincentar.com" [see image 2], although it shows a Google logo. My theme and some various browser settings are gone too.
I have change all these settings back to how they were, but this happens every time that I reboot without fail. Here are the things I've tried:
Refresh/reset Firefox.
Create a new Firefox profile.
Erase a prefs.js and other possible guilty files in my current profile. (no present user.js)
Completely reinstall Firefox.
Upgrade to the beta version of Firefox 43.
Delete the folder %AppData% Mozilla.
.. .and different combinations of the foregoing. The simple fact is that even after a clean FULL of Firefox on my laptop, including the removal of all my info to a separate location profile, this continues to be. The homepage being reset to a weird search page looks like adware or malware, but I was not able to detect anything via scan or look in my addons. I'm really perplexed and at your mercy.
Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Why Firefox wipe its settings every time you start?
I use the latest version of Firefox on my Mac. Firefox is going to wipe its internal settings whenever I start the program, giving me the possibility to import setting for the information of the other browsers on your computer. Simply close the program and opening it again cause this problem and I have no idea what could be the cause of it.
Delete Firefox, then reinstall it does not solve the problem and not restarting. I think that it maybe a problem with it that require permissions to save its settings, but I have no idea where to find them and how to fix it.
A possible and probable cause is a problem with the file profiles.ini
- Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\. - Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.
You can use one of them to make the Creation/use of a new default profile for Firefox:
- Remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
- Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
- Use "Choose a folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile
- Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\

My favoriteshave was lost. When I sigen in windows, I got a password to be entered, the system application is no longer a password. I lost some of my icons on the home page too. I think I have answered Yes to remove unused icons. I didn't do that. I tried to restone my system to a date in July as the 15th and the windows restore request woud not allow me to go on this date. It only allows me to select dates in the month of August. Help, please. Thanks Mike
I'm having a little difficulty to understand your terminology. I'm not sure what you're referring to "My favourites"... is your Internet Explorer Favorites? Also I guess by "Restoring Windows Application", you are referring to "System Restore". If there are no backups going back to July, then this will not be able to help.
Your symptoms may point to a corrupted profile. If this is the case, then all the files you placed on the desktop seems to disappear, as well as the documents you store in 'My Documents'. Other users of your system would be unaffected. If this turns out to be your problem, try one of the following methods to recover.

I get a BHO. DLL and IIE3SH.exe every time I start my lap - top.
Are they necessary, what are they for?
Hello
This file BHO.dll is a Browser Helper Object (BHO) that runs automatically whenever you start your Internet browser. BHO are not stopped by personal firewalls, because they are identified by the firewall as browser itself. BHO are often used by adware and spyware.
I suggest you to download and run the latest Microsoft security on your computer Scanner and check if it helps:
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
Hope this helps,

A few videos that use the Flash plugin contain a menu entry in the context menu that allows to disable hardware acceleration in flash player.
To disable the mode you will need to edit the file C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg as explained in the knowledge base article protected.

(Legitimate) -Pop-up Windows every time you start Firefox
So, lately every time I start Firefox, the new browsing session retrieves the pop-up windows during previous sessions (since the last time or even some of love it, three days ago), I long closed down. My boot option was always "show my windows and tabs from last time ' who used to do exactly this: pick up the tabs I had open or start with a new blank tab if I had opened. Now, however, whenever I open FIrefox I get different windows of previous sessions.
The problem here is that this doesn't SEEM to be a malware issue because I don't get weird ad/questionable windows but "legitimate" pop ups I me remember I started personally is to say a photo or an image of a trusted site that opened in a new window or a help section on amazon.com , etc.
This is a first and as you can imagine it has become very annoying. I use Firefox 25.0.1.
Any ideas? Thank you!Hello waydown, maybe the files in your profile folder that contain session restroe data was corrupted - perhaps trying to remove them, so that they can get regenerated properly next time: go in firefox > help > troubleshooting information, click on file/show profile folder and close all firefox windows later. a windows Explorer window should open up - in there remove all files starting with sessionstore ...

I get the following JavaScript error every time I start Firefox:
ReferenceError: prepareFFB is not defined.
Hello, this sounds like it is probably caused by an add-on. you have any extension/theme installed, you can connect the "FFB"? Otherwise try to disable everything in firefox > addons > extensions & re-enable one by one to see which one might be causing the error message.
-
I thought once you allowed a plug being installed and authorized in Firefox it stay installed. Why should I allow it every time? I don't know what made the extension.
Go to the Control Panel, double-click Java. In the Java Control Panel, select the Advanced tab the + various front and uncheck the box Java Quick Starter to remove the add-on. Restart firefox.
Thank you

Every time I start Firefox, I get a survey with a suffex program has. How to eliminate
Every time I start Firefox, I get a survey with a suffex program has. How to eliminate
You can check the setting of the home page.
- Options/preferences of-> General-> start: home page
Firefox supports several home pages separated by ' |' symbol (pipe).
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js file in the profiles folder that stores the session data. When sessionstore.js is deleted you lose pinned tabs and open tabs, and you need to recreate them, so possibly make a note or bookmarks.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help-> information-> troubleshooting profile directory:
Windows: File of show; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://KB.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox

Creative cloud forgets to reduce in the Systray every time you start
Hello everone,
After the update of the creative cloud (2.1.1.110 of course) it seems that every time you start Windows the creative cloud window appears in the foreground. The option 'Minimize to Systray' is always chosen, and even if I mark it and minimize the CC, after a reboot the window is still there. It seems that CC forget, that it should not pop up and minimize itself the silently in the systray (like any other program smoothly). Are there any suggestions how to fix this? The registry tweaks?
Jens, try please upgrade to the latest version.

@Santonio99
You probably bought an iPhone stolen 6. Mine was stolen in Barcelona in Spain on June 10 by a pick-pocket. Fortunately, there is absolutely nothing you can do to make an iPhone locked to the activation of the work. You have a paper weight.

Question
On the right of the adressbox, I always have Yahoo then Google, how can I solve that, I already delete Yahoo from the list in the box search, but every time I start firefox Yahoo is back. Thanks Ron Mijtelen ter, Amsterdam.Hi Ron,
Have you looked at article in the Knowledge Base using the search in Firefox bar? There are lots of good information in there. You happen to have an installed Yahoo! toolbar? You must disable or delete as well if you do. Try to start Firefox in Mode safe mode by holding down the SHIFT key while starting Firefox. If you have any problems using the safe, it's a matter of add-on or extension.
Hope this helps!
