Firefox goes through a process of 'verification' whenever I open it. Is this normal procedure now?

Using Mac OS X 10.10.3 and Firefox 38.0.1. At the opening, Firefox will thanks to a "check" every time. This is the new norm?

Make sure that Firefox is installed correctly.

Open the Firefox disk image file and drag the Firefox program into the Applications folder on your hard drive.
Do not double-click the Firefox to run from the disk image, but instead, drag it out of the DMG file.
