Firefox is not to remember what it is
Since the last version of Firefox has been downloaded, none of the toolbars, that I disabled, passwords/username or home page are stored.
Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
See basic troubleshooting: a new profile
If this new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox

I use the Tools General Options. I opened to the top of my preferred Start Page, and then select use current Pages. While Firefox remains open, this setting is preserved. However once Firefox is closed, when I reopen it the browser, my desired start page does not load. I get Speedbit, who was not selected when I downloaded and installed the latest version of Download Accelerator.

I followed the instructions, treated with cookies, Norton and do not think I have malware and I still get the message there is a problem loading page when I try to access Google or Google mail. I find that Firefox is superior to IE. What can I do?
Make sure that Norton is not blocking content.
See:
Reload Web pages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.
- Hold SHIFT and click reload.
- Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
- Press 'Command + shift + R' (MAC)
Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.
'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

My Firefox does not start. What should do?
I am currently using Firefox 19 and I had this problem for a long time.
Whenever I try to start Firefox, check compatibility for modules starts and it goes on forever. It never ends the cheque. I left it running for an entire day and when I came back he was still checking for compatibility.
I tried to uninstall Firefox, and then put it back in place (several times) and he always does.
I tried to cancel the process, but it does nothing and I have to end it with the Task Manager.
It really bothers me and I don't want to change my browser to something else.It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.
Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created if necessary.
See "extension corrupted files:
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/unable+to+install+add-ons
If you see disabled extensions, is not compatible, in "tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button, on the left side of the search bar (or click on the"Find updates"button in older versions of Firefox) to check if there is an available update compatibility.
If that didn't help then also try to delete the file addons.sqlite.

Firefox does not remember passwords on my new computer
Hello
I just got a new computer with Windows 7. I was able to transfer most of my profile from my window XP by following the HELP articles about backup and transfer profiles. I did it with a removable Flash drive. My passwords have not been transferred, had neither my Add-ons. I can live with that, but now Firefox is not to remember my password. EX: EBay, AOL mail, etc. I have to sign all the time and type the password even if small Firefox window with the PASSWORD SAVE lights up and the password is supposed to be saved. I checked all your items in the record of the passwords and all settings are correct. I went in the window of passwords saved in my profile, it is empty.
Don't you think that something got corrupted in the transfer?
I have the cable for easy transfer to computer to another, but now I'm afraid that I'll have a double profile or just going for a little more corrupt if I do. I'll wait your reply before I decide to make the transfer with easy transfer cables.Have you copied the signons3.txt and signons.sqlite in the profile folder?
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: opens showing the file
It is possible that there is a problem with key3db and signons.sqlite files that store the encrypted names and passwords in Firefox.
Rename signons3.txt and signons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder.
You can add .old files (key3.db.old and signons.sqlite.old) names or move them to another folder to make it possible to cancel the action.
You must define a new master password after renaming or removing the signons3.txt and all the currently saved passwords are lost.
If that worked, then you can delete the renamed files that are no longer needed.- "Troubleshooting" in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Password_Manager

Firefox is not saving the history, what to do to save the history?
Firefox is not saving history when remember same story is selected and im not not using any cleaning tools.
Only visible history is in the closed tabs recently. So what to do?By selecting "Use the custom settings for history" is not make changes to the parameters of the story, she can simply check the settings of the story and change individual items.
Are there any visible history in the library (history > view history)?
You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

Firefox (on laptop that died) used to remember where to save the files in a given Web site (probably an addon I downloaded), but I did not now add what he was. Did anyone else enjoy this feature? What addon adds this feature?
See, e.g., download sort:
- https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/automatic-save-folder/
The current versions of Firefox remember the directory to download, based on the URL.

Unable connect message is displayed for each Web site. IE works fine. I think the problem has something to do with the Firefox update I got this morning from notification. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox and the problem persists. I tried the restart without Add-ons, still does not work. What's next?
Hello, Barnetta, normally these problems are caused by a security/firewall software which does not recognize and therefore blocks the new versions of firefox. If please delete all the rules of the program for firefox to your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.

I have used Firefox since version 3 - really like compared to others.
This morning, after the startup of Firefox does not open. It worked when the PC was off last night. The eggtimer lights up briefly, then nothing. Internet Explorer works fine, just like Mailwasher (by e-mail) and MS Outlook, is not a problem of the internet.
I am running XP Service Pack 3 (no, really, yet), with Secure Anywhere of Webroot internet security.
I tried to restart - no effect
I tried to remove, reboot, and reinstall - no effect
I tried to run it from a link in an e-mail message - no effect
I tried to run from the line start - run with the ~ option p as in your FAQ - no effect
I tried to reinstall Adobe Flash Player, Shockwave, Java, etc...The closest, I have something to go is trying to launch a console of Webroot, when I got "Browser launch 1073741819 error" - but this could be an error code of Webroot.
I don't know what else - make almost all your FAQ will be that you can enter the program.
The only thing I can think is that webroot removed a threat this morning, but I can't find saved the crawl log for what it was - clutch at straws, maybe that had something to do with it?
Maybe it's related, but I'll have to write this on another PC, because the Mozilla Web pages displayed incorrectly in Internet Explorer (all other sites I can find appear in normal type) so the plug-ins installed do not reflect what I have on the PC in question

I just tried booting up the PC in "safe mode with connections", and under these conditions, Firefox opens and behaves normally. Does this add any light to the puzzle?
Yes. This means that another program has been in effect to prevent Firefox from running. If do not help the above suggestions, you can solve the problem, as described in the following article. The relevant articles are 'How to perform a clean boot' and "what is then when I have a clean boot environment?", subsection "how to determine what is causing the problem.

I choose to remember the story in the Privacy tab and remember passwords for sites on the Security tab in the Options, but when I close Firefox, it doesn't remember my cookies and I have to make the connections manually everytime I open Firefox.
In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:
- do not delete 'Cookies' and 'Site preferences.
- Tools > Options > Privacy: history: [X] clear history of Firefox closing > settings
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/clear+recent+history
Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.
If clearing cookies doesn't work, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other files to present as cookie cookies.sqlite - journal in the profile folder of Firefox in the case where the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.
