Firefox opens a blank tab every time

I put Firefox so that whenever I start it, it displays the tabs from last time. However, recently, he began with the tabs from last time, more an additional tab.

The other day I installed three addons obliging all Firefox will be restarted and whenever she did, there was an additional tab so that the end of my session of addon, I got three extra not - ask for the tabs. Not a problem really, just an irritation that I want to stop. How can I stop this?

Until recently, it didn't happen and I just got the tabs in my last session unless I had closed before closing Firefox. Even if I make sure that there is no new tab, not used before closing Firefox, I always get a new tab when I start again.

Please update Firefox 20.0.1 first, then try Firefox updated to the latest version

It's annoying close the tab every time I want to open Firefox

Right-click on the bookmark and select Properties, then turn off the preference for the load this bookmark in the sidebar, and then click Save.

Buttons using JavaScript on web pages for "Bookmark this Page" causes this preference to select saving the bookmark in this way. Therefore, do not use these buttons, use the function 'Bookmark this Page' which is integrated with Firefox instead.

    You must update some plug-ins:

  • Is there a way to disable the function where firefox opens a new tab when you scroll a click in the header bar?

Is there a way to disable the function where firefox opens a new tab when you scroll a click in the header bar? This feature in conflict with my program of multiple monitors (display fusion) since this program allows you to change your current active window the monitor 1 monitor 2 and vice versa BY clicking the header of BAR SCROLLING (or whatever you call the highest part of your window). With firefox, I can't easily change my active window between monitors because instead, it opens a new tab.

If the window is maximized, you can then switch this pref to disable the display of the tabs in the title bar:

    • browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar = false

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

  • Firefox automatically opens the addon page every time you start

I knew the App market/flue virus on my computer, so I got rid of him--or so it seems. Now every time I turn on or restart your computer, Firefox opens automatically, about: newaddon? ID = {64d64833-9296-421b-a362-83cfbd6291b6}, and the name of the addon shows empty; a few seconds later it closes automatically. I knew that this url has to do with the App market. But when I open Firefox, once again, it is as if nothing happened. Wherever it happened, there is no accident report on this point, despite the many times. I tried to scan my computer several times thereafter with no luck. There is no user.js file, and I deleted all of the extension and a driving-related program.

I found the solution! It turns out that my computer put adware so she would go to Firefox at startup. Now, when you go to your normal Windows startup entry things, it is said that Firefox, nothing else.

Then, I installed CCleaner and looked at startup entries there. In the Firefox section not only was it the program, but also the URL it redirects me. I deleted it, restarted, and it worked!

    Now, for what is BackgroundContainer.dll... ^^;

I downloaded CCleaner from a site named Bleeping Computer. I think my mistake was CNET Download, which is a shame, because I always thought that the site was honorable and trustworthy. But don't be fooled... MyWOT.com said CNET's is more than sure. Bleeping Computer, however, is much safer and confidence. Actual

  • I want Firefox to open my iGoogle page every time I open Firefox. How do I do that?

Firefox allows to open with my iGoogle homepage, when I opened it upward. I created my homepage, and that's what I want, when I open it. Suddenly, he started opening with the last page, I was in a previous session. When I noticed it, I made sure to close all pages that has been opened until I signed up on Firefox. Yet, it will open with the last page of the previous session.

All I want is for Firefox open my page iGoogle as my home page, every time when I go online with Firefox. How do I do that? I think I checked any box that I didn't intend, but I can't find what it is. Is that what I'm doing through Google? If so, sorry, but it's boring and waste a lot of my time to find how to make my life "easier.".

    Follow these steps.

    • Go to the site you want to set as your home page.
    • Click on the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | General.
    • Make sure that it says in the first drop 'show my home page'.
    • Click on the button called "use current Pages' to set the home page to the one you have on the screen.

  • Firefox crashes when you open a blank tab

Only in the last day, I started having problems with Firefox crashing. In the first hour, the problem only seemed to happen when I went to some websites, such as Gmail or YouTube.

Now, however, Firefox will crash as soon as I open a new empty tab. I am able to start Firefox, and it will show the page to "re-establish the Session. I can use the menu to open, for example, on: supports, but as soon as I do CMD + T to open a new tab, Firefox will crash.

  • When I open a blank tab, it goes to a strange Web page. How to open like something useful?

When I open FireFox, in a first time, it opens a tab in my homepage, as it should. But, when I open a new, blank tab he goes on some website. I can't find options to tell what to do with a blank tab in the current version of FireFox, and I'm sure I've seen this option in older versions. I would like to be the tab to be totally blank or having thumbnails of recent/frequent pages I visit.

You can watch the pref browser.newtab.url the topic: config page and set this pref to the URL of your preferred the new tab page.

    • the new default tab with the tiles page is on: newtab
    • the default homepage is Subject: Home
    • to a blank page, you can use Subject: vacuum

The pref browser.newtabpage.enabled must be set to true to use the page defined through browser.newtab.url like the new tab page.
