• Surface RT pdf reader does not.

  I have a RT of Surface.  Got a PDF attachment in Adobe.  When I click on it a mostly blank page comes up with a few paragraphs that tell me to go to www.adobe.com/go/pdf_for_configure.  I go there, don't click on Chrome and then download and the surface doesn't let me do.  I tried to restart and it does not correct.

  I'm not computer savvy, but I need to read this attachment on my message from Hotmail.  I don't want to do anything that will scan anything.

  a. you get an error message when downloading PDF attachments?

  b. you are able to use the player built into Windows RT application?

  c. you are able to download the files of another format or extension (.mp3, .doc, .xls, .bat, etc.)?

  I suggest to open the Hotmail using Internet Explorer email account and check if you are able to download the file. If the file is downloaded, please use the built-in Reader app to open the downloaded document. To do this, please download the document in a known location and open the file in the reader app.

  If, however, you are not able to download any file using Internet Explorer, then I suggest you to remove the IE Index.dat file:

  1. Open Internet Explorer. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. Under the tab general, under temporary Internet files, click on delete files.
  3. In the dialog box delete files that is displayed, click OK.
  4. Under history, click clear history.
  5. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
  6. Exit Internet Explorer.
  7. Log the computer by using a user account that does not experience the problem and then open a command prompt.
  8. Navigate to the directory to the following path:
     drive: \Documents and Settings\ username \Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5

     where username is the name of the user account that has the problem.

  9. Type del index.dat and then press ENTER.
  10. Close the command prompt and restart the computer.

  The Index.dat file is re-created the next time that you log on to the computer. Try to download files from Internet Explorer.

• InDesign PDF export does not display is not the correct colors

  So I exported my indesign document into my new CS6 software, but when I opened them all the colors are completely false. Colors will come up as gray or black, although they were gray or black in the first place.

  Windows hides certain default file extensions.
  Among them .html and .ini and .js and .txt and you might see only a file name without file extension.
  You can check the file extension (type) in the file properties in Windows Explorer via the context menu.

  In Firefox (mac), Chrome (windows), Internet explorer (windows) and Safari (mac) it always display correctly. In Firefox (windows), the video player ignores the index-Z I assign and always place the divs below, except IF I give the div floating a solid background color.

  When I assign the following styles to the div that contains the overlay, I can see the text correctly, but of course the video is blurred.

• PDF Reader does not print the update Post window 10 anniversary

  PDF print worked ok with major update of Windows 10 pre August 2016. Now, it seems to print, through print meters, but no document is entered into the print buffer.   Please make sure you use the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader update.

  Go to the Edit menu > Preferences > General and check the box for 'enable PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer '.

  Click OK to save the settings.

• After installation or upgrade to Firefox 31, starting Firefox does not display the home page, personalize displays a blank page and the radio button does not work

  I am the admin of Windows for a University Department and install PC with Firefox all the time. This problem does not occur with every PC I would maintain, only a selection bit (model different laptops with Windows and update 1 8.1.) Until today, it has happened with the new user (with admin rights) accounts that I place on laptops for our staff. Today, this happened with the account administrator while setting up a new laptop. In all cases so far, I have install Windows from a registered image that was created by using sysprep.

  I tried many suggestions to reset Firefox, removing the profile of Firefox users, removing the Windows profile users, uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox, uninstall/reinstall of Firefox and the latest Java, but nothing helped. After uninstalling, I run an application to delete the caches and temporary files and even remove manually the keys to register HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mozilla and HKCU\SOFTWARE\Mozilla. I restart and make sure that the installation folder is deleted after uninstalling.

  Results are the same: after installing Firefox 31, the initial settings for migration, IE or Chrome pop up and after having clicked on the button finish, Firefox starts but does not display the home page of the new user, only a blank page. By clicking on the Options (3 bars) button does nothing. Right click in the appropriate box, the shortcut menu appears, so I can choose to customize, but which opens another tab with subject: Customize the URL and the page is blank. In the right click context menu, I can activate the menu bar and get options from that.

  My last attempt helped a little. I uninstalled Firefox 31, cleaned, removed the profile user Firefox, rebooted and then installed Firefox 30. Initial start-up runs and tells me that I'm not up-to-date and the works of button Options. But I can't always customize.

  Then I upgraded to Firefox 31, but then it's back to no start page, no options button and no customization. I can go down to 30 and get customize practically works again.

  With several comments from our clients and requests for the same thing, we have implemented return thumbnail preview.

  With the update of October of Acrobat DC published last month, we added back support for PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer for 32-bit systems.

  Please note that by default, it is disabled. To activate the same, please go to Edition-> Preferences-> general and turn ON the thumbnail «Previews Enable PDF» checkbox in Windows Explorer

  In a future update of the software Reader / Acrobat DC, we are looking at the possibility of adding back to back support of PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer for systems 64 bit as well.
