Firefox search result? They are based on a history previous users

I use Firefox for a while. I am a digital marketing consultant and I was checking the SERPs for my classification of customers. Firefox showed them to Page 1 in google today. Woohoo I thought. I generated reports to show my clients their new ranking, only to receive calls telephone a half-dozen, explaining that their search results were different from mine.

So I decided to do the same research via Chrome, IE and Safari. Low and here is my clients were right. Their Web sites was not displayed on a page as Firefox was showing. How this could be. I was not connected to Google when executing my research so that the results could not be based on my historical Google navigation.

After deleting my history and also well cashed the info that I have I repeated the searches using Firefox. Now, they were different.

How could it happen? Why I was not told that this could happen? I have been using Firefox for about 8 months, so that means the results could be bad for every search, I did 8 months? Surely, Google should be left to view the results the most relevant not Firefox. How harmful is it my business if 8 months of reports is incorrect? It could damage my reputation for a long time to come.

How can I prevent this from happening in the future another that stop using firefox. Or firefox isn't the issue here?

Firefox does not provide search results - google is doing.

and does so with the help of the research history customization unless you opt out.
as it is stated on their website they follow you with a cookie when you use google not connected with your account. That's why on other browsers, the results may differ because each browser stores the cookie information.

You can also configure firefox to only keep cookies from google for a session (until the browser is closed), right on the page when you're on google.com > see information page > permissions > set cookies - enable session

  • The addons on Firefox stopped, but they are all still turned on?

After you restart Firefox multiple times, it seems that some addons that I activated have stopped working, I have to say that all the addons are always enabled, but have stopped working. They are all updated and so is Firefox, they were compatible before restart me Firefox. Does anyone have an idea of what is happening and how to fix it? Thank you!

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

    See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions or is not compatible in "Firefox button/Tools menu > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button at the left end of the search bar to check if there is an update available compatibility.

If that didn't help then remove addons.json and possibly prefs.js in the case where there is a problem with preferences.

  • Could please tell me what are aliases for Firefox and why they are 9 of them?

In my applications than alias Firefox folder keeps appearing, I now have 9 of them. Could you please tell me what they are? Also, when I go to open a new tab the screen fills up with boxes of sites, I've been to previously. I don't like that, how can I prevent that from happening?

    Thank you

You can delete the alias in the same way you remove any other file. Select the file and press Cmd + DELETE. I have no idea why alias Firefox keep would appear. It doesn't happen to me, but then I'm the launch from the dock.

  • If FF 39.0 on a new PC with Windows 7 Pro 64 bits - in the sidebar search results bBookmarks are slow - is new facility there a solution for this?

Recently I've just set up a new PC with Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) as the operating system. I just imported bookmarks from my PC in one. HTML file, I created from my old PC. Now whenever I type a search term in the search box to refine my search for one of my favorites of many, sometimes even by typing in the term search begins to lag while I'm typing more letters. Search term/terms once entered, it seems to take 15-20 seconds before the results list appears. This used to be almost instantaneous in this same version of FF (39.0) on my old PC 64 bit of Windows 7 (Home Premium) to bring up the results. I already tried to install the add-on called "signed 1.3.1 - 0 maintenance of the premises and this time there really doesn't make any difference that it helped when I got FF 38.0.5 on my old PC to Win 7 64-bit." Can it still be addressed. Please update as soon as POSSIBLE with the solution.

  • Cache, cookies and history are not compensation when I close Firefox, even if they are to do and have been for centuries

I had recently an update (or upgrade?) for 16 FF. Today (and I believe that the update has been done a day or two before?) my cache, cookies and history are not compensation when I close FF. In addition, some links may not work. No links to full web pages but for pop ups of site (as the engine of Smillie on a bulletin board). They worked a few days but do work not today. I click on the link and nothing happens. I noticed the problem with the cookies not compensation for a few weeks ago, but it was not only on a single site all sites which is what is happening now.

My apologies if this is a little confusing. Thank you!

I use fill form for private browsing is a bit complicated. I just put everything out when I close Firefox.

Nevertheless, it seems to have fixed itself and now works for the time being everything is good. I have no idea what happened, but it works.

    Thanks for your replies!

  • I lose half my usernames registered whenever Firefox closes and they are always the same!

The names of registered users who disappear are all of the type "https".

Firefox is not even asking if I want to save the user name and password.

Do you hear the names and passwords in the password manager or do you mean that you are connected is no longer on to (remember to) Web sites after the closing and restarting Firefox?

If the latter is the case then you have a problem with the cookies that are not maintained or the file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

    • Websites to remember you and automatically log you in are stored in a cookie.
    • You need a cookie exception allow (Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep this cookie, especially for secure Web sites and if we let the cookies expire when Firefox closes
    • Make sure that you do not remove the navigation, search and download history on Firefox to clear 'Cookies' and 'Site preferences.

Are the Oracle coherence and Oracle Cluster Cache Fusion based on the same principle?
    They work the same way?

    Thank you

    Hi Frank,.

Oracle coherence cache and Cache Fusion of Oracle RAC are not based on the same principle and are not in the same way. It is true that both provide features "hidden" in a 'cluster', but that's where the similarity ends.

    Kind regards

  • Most (but not all) of the Bookmarks Toolbar icons missing when I start Firefox. Display-tools-customize restores them until I close Firefox, and then they are gone again.

This problem started yesterday. I have not recently installed new programs.

You have the roomy Bookmarks Toolbar extension?

If you then update the 1.3.6 version on the Versions page.

I wrote this message 4 times now!  Here it is:

I have a MacbookPro.  I just bought a new mouse today from the Apple Store, because the little door on the back of my old we kept popping off the power.  Now a new does not work with my keyboard and the Apple screen.  I use a Logitech keyboard, with which I have never had problems using the old mouse.  The batteries seem to work.  What is the problem?

  • I have 2 Mozilla Firefox on my desktop. They are both version 41.0.2 - in my installation and delete I find only one. How can I delete one of them?

I tried to update to Mozilla Firefox and I had another icon on my desktop. Now, I have Mozilla Firefox 2 and they are both Version 41.0.2. They are both exactly the same thing when I open the. I see only one on my add/remove program location so I won't delete it because I could delete them both. Can you help me?

You can remove one of the office shortcuts if both point to the same firefox.exe in the same Firefox program folder.
You can keep the one with the correct version information where the other is an older version of Firefox.
Note that Firefox 42 will come out next week (Tuesday).

  • Files search results

After performing a search, the left pane of folders is positioned in the temporary folder to search down results.  Is it possible to avoid this and let folders not affected?

No, unfortunately, it is the way it is prgrammed and it is hardcoded and there is no feature that I know to change (or doesn't in this case) the repositioning of the files Panel.  It happens because it is positioned on the right this folder (as it should).  It's a minor annoyance with the fact that will have to learn to live.  The amazing part is no doubt believe that it was a good idea when it was developed - so although they don't even consider adding some configuration options (or maybe that's what happened when they tried and figured it was acceptable or even preferable and not worth any effort to change any other thing).  Consider yourself lucky - in my case, there are a dozen foldersunder the folder temporary search results which are records of actual file and I can't understand how to remove them from the list without deleting the folders (or prevent them from continuing to add to the list because I'm not sure what I am doing happens - but I'll deal with it when I have the time to examine the problem).

I hope that this same help if this isn't the answer you wanted to hear.  There are MANY variations of the search in Vista, but desired was not one of them, and I sincerely doubt that they will put any effort in changinng it.  They aren't accepting bug or suggestion for Windows Vista reports more (I just checked) so we can't even report it.

    Good luck!

  • Vertical spacing of search results display page has expanded without any manual changes having been filed; None of these changes took place in Google Chrome or IE8.

The result of the problem is that I can't see as much of a page of search results as previously. The change came as a result of an upgrade of Firefox version.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I had one of these manifestations of the dreaded "blue screen" this morning and have been engaged in rescue operations since then. These included a couple of successful procedures, a Malwarebytes scan troubleshooting Windows and a race of CCleaner. I noticed that the condition that I pointed out in the view of Firefox search results page has subsequently rectified itself as easily and inexplicably as it to materialize yesterday!

I'll watch points, of course, in the next days and weeks, but everything now seems to be back to norma for the moment. A big thank you to all who have tried to help with this.

  • Scroll to report but I want the column headings to stay where they are

    Hi guys

I've created a few reports in my page and I want the scrolling

I managed to scroll by adding the following code in the header and footer of each region

    Header of the region
    <!-< div style = "overflow: auto;" height: 300px; Width: 950px ">-->"

    Footer area
    <!-< / div >-->

This code is great for the report to scroll up and down but moving the column headers.

Does anyone know of a simple code that I might add so that the column headers do not move

I saw a couple of discussions earlier in this topic, but I think I need a more simple option!

I have 5 regions report on this page

    Thanks in advance

Have not tried it myself, but a quick glance on the JavaScript told me it should work with one or several regions report on a page.

"Attributes" are simply a translation problem, that should read "Page attributes". Just forget about the German text, hold on to the pictures, they are based on an English Installation of APEX.

You can put the Javascript code wherever you want, you can put it on the server or load it into the APEX static files or copy content in your page template or even your html page header...
(WARNING: depending on your application, you must choose carefully, given that performance influence attachet to each solution. but it doesn't matter for experimentation).

If it's even more confusing than I recommend a step back and work through at least some of the APEX tutorials: [http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/html/doc.html]
It's really pays off in the long run!

    Have fun

    Peter
