Firefox takes too much HDD

Hi, I have installed portable firefox 23.0.1 to q: partition and the partition of 1 GB. Firefox takes 653 MB of available space and it's too much for me, someone knows how to "clean" firefox so my drive is no longer incomplete? I think that firefox should be 70 MB and not 700.

Hello, yes you are right - it's unusual, portable firefox versions should be more in the order of 70MB. You can use a tool like www.jgoodies.com/freeware/jdiskreport/ to inspect what is too exactly the place and report it here in the forum? Thank you

    I just upgraded to the new version of firefox. for some inexplicable reason, you have added icons to the left of my choice of personal menu in the menu bar. These icons are purely decorative, they take too much space, and now I can't view all clickable elements in the menu bar. extremely irritating. If you want to add undesirable, at least give us the possibility to the poster does not. is it possible that I can disable the display of these unnecessary icons?

  • Firefox consumes too much RAM, caused by js

    I have problems with Firefox consumes too much memory RAM. Many people are complaining about this, but I have done some additional research before posting here, using the about command: memory and I discovered that js-no-window and js-main-runtime are the cause.

    When I start an empty Firefox session I immediately an allowance of 260 MB of RAM. About 75-80% this is taken up by these two processes of js (javascript?).

    After opening about 10 tabs with different Web pages, the use of the RAM went up to about 750 MB. During the time that the tabs are open most of the extra of the MB are consumed by the window objects (40 MB per page, yet much seems to just a news with an article site...) but after their closing will not use of memory to the bottom and he transferred to the two already mentioned js process. This transfer to the js process is not always the case, it seems to happen if I open a lot of tabs, let's say 10 + maybe.

    I tried to disable Javascript using the SettingSanity plugin, but makes navigation difficult at home of course and the worst of all this does not solve the problem. Specified processes continue to use the same amount of RAM.

    I have this same problem on all my computers and laptops, so it can't be a coincidence. Is there anything I can do about it? It is being investigated? How a browser with 10 open web pages may need almost 800 MB of RAM?

    And please don't reply not to "install more RAM". The pc with the fact that I have more problems has 2 GB of physical RAM and I really don't think it is possible on a computer of this logon type 10 web pages. Do the same thing in Internet Explorer consumes less than half the amount of memory RAM.

    PS: I sent this request using IE because I could ' t access this page in Firefox. The button 'Ask the question' did not work...

    I have 2 GB Ram too and can open up to 20-30 tabs before slowing down. Maybe it could be an addon like Adblock more which can cause the memory leak.

  • A query that takes too much time with the dates?

    Hello people,
    I'm trying to pull some data using the status date, and for somereason its taking too long to return the data
       and trunc(al.activity_date) = TRUNC (SYSDATE, 'DD') - 1     --If i use this its takes too much time

      and al.activity_date >= to_date('20101123 000000', 'YYYYMMDD HH24MISS')
       and al.activity_date <= to_date('20101123 235959', 'YYYYMMDD HH24MISS') -- If i use this it returns the data in a second. why is that?

    How do i get the previous day without using the hardcoded to_date('20101123 000000', 'YYYYMMDD HH24MISS'), if i need to retrieve it faster??

    It seems that al.activity_date is indexed and is not TRUNC (al.activity_date). Your problem is not with the TRUNC(sysdate,'dd')-1. So use:

    and al.activity_date >= TRUNC(SYSDATE)-1
    and al.activity_date < TRUNC(SYSDATE)

  • Photo library take too much space even with active iCloud

    I am paying to iCloud and I have hundreds of GB available, yet my iPhone 5 c is constantly telling me I'll have storage problems, mainly caused by the photo library, containing several GB.  I have iCloud library enabled, as well as the option 'optimize iPhone storage '.  Photos latest have already transferred in my library, so I know that photos download correctly and not late, but why the library still takes so much space?

    Because it is.

    If you have used all available space on your phone, you need to remove some content on the phone.

    The setting "Optimize phone Storage" is not magic. Your phone still has a finite amount of space. It may be that pictures should be removed, but it will be something.

    Check the settings > general? Use storage & icloud. Look what's too much your space.

  • 2015 CC Photoshop takes too much time to load any file

    Since I've upgraded to 2015 CC Photoshop I have this problem - regardless of the type of file, I try to open or how big it is, Photoshop takes too long to open 10-30 seconds. After that everything goes well. But when I click on 'Open with Photoshop' in my Explorer or the same shape Photoshop directly, when I click on file > open (or ctrl + O) he is lagging. No matter what type of file (.jpg, .tiff, .psd) I try to open or how big it is. When I look in the Windows Task Manager it says "not responding" for a few seconds (5-30) and then open it. When Photoshop is open (without any file inside) there are about 360MB. I've dedicated 12 GB for Photoshop in settings, so I assume that is not the problem of memory... Any idea?
