FireFox update spoils acrobat plugins

Hello.

I just updated FireFox for Windows XP from v.19.0 to v.19.0.2 and after that, the plugin acrobat (CS6 Creative Cloud trial) to convert web page to PDF has been spoiled.

The provision has been messed up, and Images do not appear after that the plug-in converts a web page in pdf format.

How to solve this problem? Need to re - install acrobat on my PC?

Thank you

Please follow the steps here to define the Acrobat plugin by default PDF Viewer: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5093497#5093497

Kind regards

Deepak

  • Why, after update plug-ins by the system of firefox [specifically adobe acrobat 10.1.4.38] it does not recognize it and says I need to update?

This happened on & off for a while. I tried updating via firefox, uninstall and update in acrobat and firefox. He says updating but the version does not change and cannot find any evidence, he did. Even uninstall always reinstalled 10.1.4.38 - the same version that I've had since started using firefox.
Also, today I updated 'Shockwave Flash' at the same place & update says it still need to be updated (don't remember which version he says), but I had disabled Shockwave for Director "." When I gave the update kept saying to update Flash.

Any chance there is a link between Acrobat & something similar to the 'Director' which will help to update recognize? A program distant cousin?

Hi Uptown22, I guess you tried to restart Windows to see if the Adobe Reader update ends after a restart, or if the update from Adobe works best when the system has just been restarted and that you did not start Firefox or any other program that could use Adobe files. If this isn't the case, you might want to try it.

If you check on Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat in your Adobe product, which version actually installed?

If you have a version higher than 10.1.4:

Search many PDF plugins on your system might try either of the following:

    • full search of drive C for nppdf32.dll (be sure to search in hidden folders) - you need to check the version properties to determine if they meet your true version
    • Secunia PSI (free for use on non-professional computers): http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/ - will find obsolete plugins and in its advanced mode show you the location on disk

  • Updated Firefox updated to its latest version 12.0. Now my plugin Adobe Flash freezes and blocks all websites when it is turned on even if it's the latest version.

Today updated Firefox updated to its latest version 12.0. Immediately after the update, I couldn't load most of the sites. The web browser would just freeze. I have determined that the culprit is the Adobe Flash Plugin, however; even with the latest version of the plugin, I always have problems. Any suggestions?

If anyone else has this problem I found a few options that may help you.

I solved my problem by loading Waterfox, which is the 64-bit version of Firefox. I use a Windows 64-bit operating system, so this solution worked perfectly. If you want to download it, it can be downloaded here: http://waterfoxproject.org/

It has also been suggested that I try to create a new Firefox profile. Since Waterfox works for me, I have not tried yet; However, I was told that it allows to solve several mysterious questions of Firefox with Flash. The directions for this can be found here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile

I hope everyone can solve their problems of Flash Player and I recommend using the Adobe Forums as well. People there are very helpful.

  • Messed up in Firefox 34.0.5 plugin control

Since Firefox 34.0.5 was installed yesterday the page in Firefox to manage the Plugin no longer works.

Al that my settings have been changed. All plugins are inactivated. Some of them I wasn't able to activate again.

Some have been blocked, and he said that I should update. However these plugins have been updated just a couple of days!

What is the significance of this new feature?

  • Linux, Firefox 21.0 and the last flash for LINUX (11.2). I can't view youtube videos because firefox has disabled the plugin. Help!

An hour ago, I watched with happiness of the videos from youtube on Linux using Firefox 20.0 and 11.2 flash. I've just updated firefox and it of now my blocking flash and invites me to update. The problem is I can't update because 11.2 is the LATEST version of the flash for firefox plugin, there is no other version.

Is there a way to prevent the deactivation of my firefox plugin?

The directory structure, at least for linux, seems to have changed for version 21. I have my distribution of firefox / opt/firefox /, and so far I keep the plugin flash in/opt/firefox/plugins /. Verse 21, the plugin directory should be/opt/firefox/browser/plugins/EC directory does not exist by default. You can create or mv just the old directory of plugin to the new location

$ cd/opt/firefox / #(ou partout où votre firefox est installé)
    $ mv plugins / browser /.

Icons / directory has also been moved to that subdirectory, that's why my office firefox button was not correctly displayed after the update.

-The main thing that firefox really should do is to archive the previous version of firefox, whenever there is an update. It is ridiculous to have to deal with this kind of issue immediately after an update when you have important work to do on time! To do a simple option to temporarily return to the previous version of firefox. It would be trivial to implement and could be used when a new release breaks something.

  • After the update to 15.0.1 Firefox open from C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox\updated\firefox.exe

After the 15.0.1 update this afternoon on a machine 64 - bit Windows 7, I restarted Firefox. Immediately liked began to display warnings that firefox.exe was not a recognized program and needed plugin container, the SVC host access and other things. Weird. So I look in the Comodo and Explorer and it says that the process runs from this path:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox\updated\firefox.exe

But there is no update file. This happens even when clicking on the firefox.exe file in the Mozilla Firefox folder.

Is this normal? It does not seem right.

Too bad. I restarted the computer and everything seems to be back to normal - firewall and the paths are now correct. Then. anyone having this problem - try to restart the machine. Never had that after a Firefox update before so don't think of him.

  • Pup.funmoods virus of wha I seemed to be an update of the plugin mozilla when I open my browser

Mozilla sent an update of the plugin today? When I opened my browser it's what came. The first update was for my digital canon. There were others - java, but I don't think that really installed. I did it first, and then returned to the gun and when I clicked that it wanted to install some other stuff that I've disabled with some difficulty. This is the time when updates to spread or id have been more cautious. When the installation is complete my search engine, the home page, the browser and who knows what had been hijacked. I ran AVG and superanti spyware. I scanned for spyware and pup.funmoods sweetheartand up.23 points

If you have an older version of Java (less than 7U6 or 6U34) then Firefox may have disabled this version of Java due to security flaws.

  • Firefox 14.01: Java Plugin appear on behalf of administrator only, not for user accounts - how to fix?

I wasn't using the java plugin for a long time.

At some point in the past, the plugin java (that I had turned off for years) is COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED from the list of plugins and addons Manager list NORMAL user accounts.

It is ALWAYS AVAILABLE on the ADMIN account, but is seriously not intended to be run from there.

Sysinternals sysmon, is to observe that the java runtime registry entries are located since firefox running in user mode. The java runtime (not the absolute last version, but enough to day 1.7.0_01) is correctly installed and running (for any local application of the IDE).

    The questions:
-How can I fix this situation?
-How Firefox does not recognize the java runtime (in detail)?
-How can I avoid this problem for future updates?

    Additional info:

Protocol of activities of firefox in admin mode to access the java plug-in:

Protocol of activities of firefox in user mode access the java plug-in:
    http://harryboeck.dyndns.org/Verschiedenes/Firefox-Java-troubleshooting-usermode.PNG

Notice the difference: in administrator mode, after accessing HKLM/.../JRE, it goes directly to open 'npdeployJava1.dll '. In user mode, it makes mystical headstands in vain to access some mime base, but does not even touch the dll at all. Should this have any meaning?

You must first update the Java plugin. Older versions have been blocked since Firefox due to a serious security problem, so update should help. Let me know if you still have problems (make sure that you uninstall any previous version)

  • Impossible to update Shockwave Flash plugin

I'm only updating Shockwave Flash because the plugin page says to do so; Otherwise, I have no problems. The sequence of update I'm having problems is different from those described by others:
    (1) check the updates of the plugin: Shockwave Flash 11.1 r102 was highlighted as 'Vulnerable' with red UPDATE NOW.
    (2) click on update now and was prompted to download Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.62 (no Shockwave Flash); Downloaded ran .exe install file. Closed Firefox installation, such as requested and installation is complete.
    (3) Firefox open; Active plugins and now reviews of saw that version of Flash Player is outdated and people with disabilities.
    (4) as test, played a video of youtube; Click command prompt at the top of the screen for "plugin" missing Run auto update, called for the closure of Firefox and completed the installation.
    (4) Firefox open; Checked plugins and once again saw that Shockwave Flash needed UPDATE NOW (as described in #1 above). Adobe Flash Player is not listed anywhere in the plugin list.
So now that I'm back to where I was before, I'm wondering if I'm really vulnerable because of this version of Shockwave Flash.

    Of course, some confusion.

Pablo said: 'downloaded from your link (64-bit version). »

To clarify: to determine which version is installed in Firefox, use Firefox only when you go to the Plugin Check page or the Adobe page "about". I've known a few cases in which the computer must be restarted after the installation of the new version of Flash for this new version to be recognized.

If the information immediately preceding in this answer does not work for you, you may uninstall Flash completely from your system and start with the installation of Flash again. Note, in the article below, there are 2 programs uninstall, one for 32-bit and one for 64 - bit; Download and run at the same time. Then, follow the instructions in my original answer above to reinstall and test Flash.

Sorry that you have problems with the installation of Flash, but many users on 64 - bit systems posed problems with the new installer 32 bit/64 bit combined from Adobe.

  • Firefox updated to 10 and deleted all my bookmarks, history, extensions, saved passwords, etc. How to make a comeback?

Firefox updated from 9 to 10 and now it's as if it's a brand new facility. I've lost everything. All bookmarks, saved passwords, extensions, etc. The only things still here are the plugins (flash, java, etc.).

I checked the folder profiles AppData\Roaming, and there is only one profile, a new.

What happened and can I recover bookmarks at least?

    Hello

You can try right-clicking on the Mozilla folder > restore previous versions and copy to another location. Once copied, you can browse and copy backup files needed. Please note that the restoration is not present in every version of Windows 7.

The program to check your Plugins I managed for Firefox 3.6.13 under WXP gives me an orange button indicating that the Adobe PDF plugin is out of date and suggests I click to update, but when I do so I don't get in an update for the plugin, but a download of 47 MB for Adobe Reader X. I find nothing on a plugin to update on the Adobe or Adobe Downloads site. This plugin is certainly not a 47 MB program.

You must download and install the full application in order to get the latest version. The plugin is part of the application.
