Firefox v21.0 disables audio Soundcloud

It worked fine in previous editions of the browser, which is my main to work. IE9 on the same system plays the same fine and audio files from other sites (YouTube, ESPN) also works well in Firefox. The specific page that made me notice it is: https://soundcloud.com/jrs-1-1, but I have tried other clips on the site.

Who did the trick! So this is a problem of Javascript...

Thank you for your persistence, it would have taken me a while to try it on my own!

  • Restored Firefox with extensions disabled. Have I lost all my extensions?

So I was testing my Firefox with extensions disabled when I clicked on 'Restore Firefox' by mistake. Have I lost all my extensions because of this? Apparently I still have my passwords, history and even cookies, but I got a lot of extensions that are now gone.

    Is it possible to recover?

The extensions are removed during the update. Check the 'old data Firefox' that has been placed on the desktop.

More information about the update is here.

    Hello Bretus,

Please contact the Mozilla Support and I am sorry that this update is not compatible with the extensions you use.

Kaspersky support forums mention that these extensions will be updated soon, so that they are compatible with FF25. In the meantime, we do not recommend that downgrade you your version of Firefox, but you can find instructions and download locations for previous versions here:

Install an older version of Firefox

Please let us know if this solves your problem.

  • Is the add-on 'Saved password editor V2.7' a safe and secure to use with Mozilla Firefox V21.0 app?

I'm worried I can compromise the security of my existing of passwords saved in Firefox by installing the add-on 'Saved password editor V2.7'. Is the add-on 'Saved password editor V2.7' a safe and secure to use with Mozilla Firefox V21.0 app?

You should always be careful when you install extensions, not only for security reasons, but always with respect to the stability of Firefox.

Extensions, hosted on the site of the Add - ons were examined, unless otherwise stated and are generally safe for installation, but they remain third-party software developed by others (only a few are Mozilla and patches).

  • Firefox 5.0 disabled an add-on, which is associated with my anti-virus software. Is this disabled module if I use another browser too or just in Firefox?

I just installed Firefox 5.0. I have also just renewed by subscription to Webroot Internet Security Essentials, so I have the updates on that as well, and apparently something in the latest Webroot is not compatible with the latest Firefox. When I open Firefox, I get a message that a Webroot 1.7 'Add-on' and a few files associated with Webroot (I wrote not them down and the error message disappeared) have been disabled. What worries me, because I do not know what part of my antivirus program has been disabled by Firefox. My Webroot reports that it is functional and up to date.

What he says is that Webroot has a special add-on for firefox which does not match the version of firefox you have. Webroot will still work, but it will not use this special accessory. You may or may not have a similar attachment that it is bundled with other browsers. I'm not sure. All-in-all, the module is not the main part of your anti-virus, it's just a piece of bonus, they give you.

Firefox has not disabled your anti-virus software, and using another browser will be no more or less dangerous than before that.

Think of it as a vacuum cleaner. He always goes to the vacuum cleaner and clean, but the small fancy brush to clean baseboards or something does not fit immediately.

They have most likely only need to change the small part of it that shows what versions of firefox, it will work with, if the chances are that if you keep an eye on, there will probably be an update soon with a version of the add-on that is compatible.

  • Video playback stopped working in Firefox until I DISABLED the plugin of primetime content decryption module

From one day to the next video (youtube, Vimeo, etc) stopped not working in Firefox. I checked my plugins/addons and discovered the plugin Adobe "primetime content decryption module" which I had not noticed previously had been installed. I've disabled the plugin and found that the video playback was still functional.

I realize the Primetime plugin is intended to facilitate playback of certain content (DRM), which would not otherwise play with Silverlight/Flash plugins, but unless that I turn it off it's actually prevents me from normal video content playback.

As this is a Firefox/Adobe plugin suggested I prefer it to work as expected rather than disable/remove it.

A quick update to my problem noted above (maybe I should try this first)

I ACTIVATED the plugin once more see if it would cause video playback yet, but everything seems to be ok now (IE, Primetime plugin is activated and all videos play normally)

Will report if the problem arises again

  • How to replace firefox by automatically disabling the extensions such as Adobe and 1 password

Firefox updated to the last version 41.0b1 beta how the Add - it automatically sign off three extensions,.
    -1Password
    -Adobe Acrobat
    -Avast Internet Security
How can I replace the function disable if I can use these extensions in the latest version?

41 of Firefox requires that extensions be signed by Mozilla, which follows a brief review process. Probably the publishers of these Add - we'll take care of this before Firefox 41 is officially released in about 5 weeks.

If you want to run the current version, Firefox 40.0.2, instead of the beta-test version? It does not block unsigned extensions. You can enter here (scroll to your preferred language): https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Alternatively, you can return a parameter that exists only in Firefox 41 to allow unsigned extensions. Which can be found here:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the xpi and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference xpinstall.signatures.required to true to false

One of these suggestions resolve the problem?

  • Configure firefox sound again peripheral audio default - eccentric behavior windows 8

My machine 64bits Win8 will direct the sound to the default speakers output, but when I try to turn on/off the sound at a different devices, as for example 'headphones' sound turns off. I use the area of notification icons on my PC to select the audio output device that works acceptably in other browsers.

Except that I noticed at least once on a TED talk video was that if the sound/clip was loaded from the URL directly instead of as embedded in a Web page, the native audio device to the operating system selector works fine.

I think that you will need to close and restart Firefox after you change the audio device by default to make Firefox pick up the change. Otherwise it can not work properly, especially when a media (HTML5) drive is used and not a plugin.

  • Google web toolkit plugin for firefox (1.23) disables the back button of the browser. How do fix us this?

I have Google Web Toolkit Developer Plugin for firefox (1.23). It worked for me, but I recently discovered that in my browser back button has been disabled. By trial and error, I discovered that it's the GWT developer Plugin that is the culprit. When I disable the plugin, the previous button starts working again. When I re - activate the plugin, the back button stops working. Has anyone else encountered this problem? My firefox is version 19.0. Anyone know what would cause the plugin to start to disable the back button?

Have you tried to use Firefox 23? This is the version you should be running.

Norton won't close at all, just the protector of the vulnerability will be turned off in firefox, but you are always safe as long as norton is on your system tray, it will be netherless.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
