Firefox won't open a new tab on my browser - the option is there, but when I press nothing happens? I have checked all of my options, but couldn't find anything wrong?
Hello, it seems that you run a very outdated version of firefox & old plugins - this is a serious security risk, because there have been dozens of corrected critical vulnerabilities from firefox 3.6 was released (it was more than two years ago).
You must do the following as soon as possible:
- Download and install the latest version of firefox from getfirefox.com
- Check your plugins to https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/ & update all those which are obsolete
- You can also remove all the toolbars you have installed, because they can cause problems. in firefox, go to tools > addons > extensions and uninstall Yahoo! toolbar, motor driven, Radio TV 2.1 Community Toolbar and "Ask Toolbar". then you can launch the searchreset extension to restore the search parameters which leads crushed...
- do a full scan of your system with your security software

Firefox won't open - taskbar icon looks active but won't display
Firefox does not open on the screen. The icon in my tray tasks shows a window, but the window does not open the monitor. I can RT. Click the icon and select Refresh, or maximize but no help. I'm under Win10. It also will not open on the screen when you attempt to do safe mode.
Try to open the system menu via Alt + space to see if this helps to move the window in the view.
Try to rename (or delete) the file xulstore.json in the Firefox profile folder.

Firefox won't open the shockwave flash files because there are 2 types?
Firefox does not open some swf files when I say that this is the cause. However, http://edmullen.net/test/poopboy.swf works fine.
I looked in my Options-> Applications menu and found this http://i.imgur.com/kPVOHdE.png
So it has got 2 different types of SWFs to meet him. I can't tell the top affliate background is the same way.
I tried to uninstall the plugin. This removed the bottom and meant that the poopboy.swf I also linked didn't work in the same way, however, put it back, I was just back to the drawing board.
I want to add that these particular .swf files that I'm running worked yesterday so file corruption is not the problem, especially since I went and all the redownloaded.
These two SWF entries are on different MIME types that first one appears to be damaged or at least unusual. and probably the second (application/x-shockwave-flash) should be there.
You can rename (or delete) the file mimeTypes.rdf in the profile folder of Firefox to reset all the actions file.

At the start of new computer, you can load Firefox OK. After closing repeatedly, the icon on the desktop won't open Firefox... or go to programs and click on Firefox. The only way you can get it working again is to restart the computer, but then you only bring up Firefox several times again without haviing to restart. I even tried to restore the computer to earlier dates without result. If I use Internet Explorer to open Firefox the same thing happens. I tried to remove Firefox and reinstall, but it tells me that Firefox must be closed to continue. I don't see where it is open. Advisor

Firefox takes a long time to close since a recent update and memory of pigs.
Since the recent updates that have begun to use containers of plugin, Firefox takes a long time to close. If I try to go back there, he said that it is still running. I have liik in the Manager of tasks and about seven containers plugin. exe is running, and I turned off or disabled mostplugins and addons, same Quicktime. Firefox uses an obscene amount of RAM on my XP machine and rendered sluggish. I use XP SP3. This started after you added the plugin container in one of the recent updates earlier in the year. For the features it offers me or does not offer me, instead, it uses far too much RAM and is too slow. And takes a long time to close when I close the browser. It uses about twice as much RAM as it was.
Upgrade your Firefox 9 browser and check
