    Thanks for the reply.

When you import media source in a first Elements (any version), you are not importing real media. What you have in the media of the project are copies of the originals which are stored in the designated place hard drive. But the project needs to trace these originals to the save location as they were when they were imported in the project. If you move the source media, delete rename them or even that they are in the folder, you will encounter some bad media reconnect issues. At this point, the message "Where is the file...?" that you get when you try to reopen the saved closed project will be a major asset by her reconnects. Alternatively, you can use the function replace images for her reconnects.

On what computer operating system is your first items 13 running? And you have updated 13 to 13.1 still using Help Menu/implementation of an open project? If this isn't the case, please consider this.

    Now to your question immediately.

I would consider placing your files for organizing items (person, place or event) in albums that you create in the organizer of items for each. Then,

    (a) the content of the album of the opening of the first elements add multimedia/Organizer.

    or

    (b) by selecting your album in the elements Organizer, select the photos in the album you want, then right click anywhere in a selection and Edit with Premiere elements editor selection?

Have you been there and done that yet?

Please examine, consider, give more details, and we can then decide what.

    Thank you.

  • Importing a .m4v audio is cut at the end first Elements 11

I have videos that were taken with a Nikon d7100 and file is .m4v (exported since the new Apple app Photos) and when you import this file into first elements 11 the end of audio is shifted.

I was recording the end of audio performance and the applause because the number of seconds before the video ends in fact.

It's quite frustrating, I've used this 11 first elements for a few years without and questions.

I realize you must export the file in the pictures Apple app as an "original unmodified" and it exported to a .mov file.

I try to download my paid for 13 elements upgrade. When I click on the "Download" button, I get this message: 413 header length too large.  Help?

You can download it by using the direct download link, which I predicted.

    Download Photoshop Elements products | 10, 11, 12, 13

During installation, when prompted enter the serial number and to proceed with the installation.

If you had purchased the update serial number.

First, enter the serial number Photoshop elements 13.

Then it will ask for the previous qualifying version number.

In the drop-down list, select Photoshop elements 12 and enter the serial number Photoshop elements 12

  • can first elements quality photos DVD?

Can you do excellent quality photos using first Elements 10 DVD using a Mac? »

    You shouldn't have any problems.

If you only use Images yet, here are the tips:

    1. Set up your project in NTSC or PAL DVD, in each screen 16:9 or 4:3 Standard. For more recent cameras, the screen 16:9 would be the most likely candidate, but also consider TV, viewers will probably. If there is a ton of older 4:3 CRT TV in that mix, then consider them.
    2. All of your Images that are still about the size of your project, on the scale if ~ 720 x 480 in NTSC. See this ARTICLE.
    3. Import those into the project.
    4. Do drag those to the timeline and change, if necessary.
    5. Add scene selection markers.
    6. When editing, go to create Menus and choose either an integer, or a standard (depending on which you chose) Menu defined, then adjust it properly.
    7. When the author, burn to disc.

Don't forget, your still Images are probably much more high resolution, as the DVD, so don't expect not HD quality materials. However, if you / your viewers have a up-rezzing DVD, or BD drive, correctly connected, the DVD that results will look spectacular.

    Good luck

  • Import and renamed photos during import in Photoshop elements 13

    Hello

I have a bunch of photos and photo on my computer folders, in bulk inside a folder "images". Many of them renamed by myself (by hand, with texts of ads..) before making the acquisition of PSE13.
I did the acquisition of PSE13 in order to restore order in all of this.
My question: is it possible to import all this mass of photos and during import, rename pictures with, instead the name: the shooting date and time (yyyy. Mr JJ HHhMMmSS)
I would also like to be able to put my old names of photos in the metadata in the "comments" box

You have an idea how I could do this? And if PSE13 is able to do this?...

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Good day!

What you want is available only if you are importing from a card reader, not your drive.

-You can rename the model YYYY MM DD or more personalized in the advanced import dialog box. Scroll down completely to access the models 'custom '.

-by default, the original name of the file is stored in the metadata (check that the box is checked).

-You can even import into a date-based folder tree (folders named YYYY MM DD).

So, you could fool the Organizer by copying your folders present on a large map and import from "camera or card reader.

Creation of a date based folder tree is possible at the same time. You can import in several batches if the card is not large enough.

    I get this error message,

A page element to the 'CALENDAR' page instead of 34 488 requires pixelation, but it is too large to rasterize. Resize it smaller and try again

This basically means that there is an object that has its upper left corner at x: 34 y: 488 which is too large to be rasterized, it could be due to any extreme wide or tall object.

Try to check the contents of the page and then resize to verify the behavior. Please let me know how it goes.

  • First elements vs Pro for Pan and Zoom Photo Slide Shows

I'm a professional architectural photographer. I need to create videos using a series of photos, and I need the ability to pan and zoom to specific parts of each photo.  I need to be able to tell the software where to pan and to and where to zoom in or out.  For example, I could start on the left side of a picture, pan to the left side of the photo, then stop panning and zooming.  I need to control the speed of the pan and zoom and control where they occur within each photo.  I won't be dealing with video, only still photos.

I saw a video showing this capability in Premier Pro.  It can also be done in first elements?

    rvomund

If please check out Adobe document on this panoramic and Zoom Tool and workspace function

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/premiere-elements/using/Pan-Zoom-create-video-like.html

There is a difference using this tool for video from still images. And, since you mention that you use some photos, I

not entered in the pan and zoom applied to the video with this tool.

Please review and consider. If any questions or need any clarification, do not hesitate to ask.

  • How to import a menu of first elements 7 (menu Popcorn) in Encore CS4?

How to import a menu of first elements 7 (menu Popcorn) in Encore CS4?

If yes how to perform this Act?

Their additional menus are available for Encore CS4?

Pre Menus are in the games Menu. Each set is a main Menu and a Menu selection of scenes. As before the semi-automatic creation, there are many 'extras' in the Photoshop PSD, in button layer sets. All you have to do is to make a copy of your two Menus in a separate folder, so that you don't worry everything ruin your Menu sets in pre. I could do this in a new subfolder in the library folder hierarchy yet. Then, each of these two Menus open in PS. Go and clean up all the other languages for the text and the text of the button. Correspond to the names of Layer button Set/Layer Set such naming conventions in the library of the Menus again, because you won't get any semi automation. Where you do not, say a next button, just to eliminate layers of this button. Don't forget, before it will be semi-automatiquement, will give you the number of scene selection Menus, that your project includes - will not be still. You must count the scenes, divide by the number of buttons on this scene selection Menu and make copies of this Menu, to account for what you need.

For what is still, it comes with a compliment full Menus, buttons and other assets, such as EM files (models), of movement and Audio assets. Everything can be completely customized in PS. Note: in PSElements, I don't believe you can create layer sets, so it will be a limitation. The full PS has no limitation, with the sole exception that to change colors button subpicture highlight, this must be done in the editor Menu in Encore, unless it has been added to the PS CS5.

    Good luck

    Hunt

PS - don't forget, work on Copies of the two Menus in the set Menu forwards and NOT on the originals, or you do a repair installation to get back them.

  • Can't import video for first Elements 8

    Hey everybody,

I know that this question is probably asked a lot, but the hours of research I still could not find a solution, so I thought I'd do an account to ask you guys.

I first Elements 8, and every time I connect my Canon Vixia HG20 and use the option to get the media, it does not find my camera. I select the option for AVCHD or other memory/hard disk camcorder and then this window pops up but it says "None Found" or "No Device Found" (I refreshed it several times to be sure). Now, I tried several times a month.

Does anyone have solutions or advice?

    Welcome to the forum.

For this material, first copy the files and folders of the camera via the USB port. This can be done from the included software, or Windows Explorer.

Captures true is only from cassette miniDV, via FireWire cameras.

    Good luck

PS - John T. Smith uses the same device, IIRC, and has posted some tips.

  • Performance problems with large Photo library size

Did anyone seen performance issues when the library becomes too great? I used to keep a few different libraries, since some of my libraries are already 1 TB. So, if I merge into one, the file will be 2-3 Tb when it's said and done. Anyone know if it is recommended to size limits or is it more important with El Capitan. Obviously, the response time will be affected by the hard drive and the speed of the laptop, but before you begin merging into one file libraries, I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions/recommendations or other related advice. Thank you!

It is not documented, but how many pictures a library can contain pictures, you can migrate photos iPhoto libraries and libraries Aperture, so you should be able to store at least 1 000 000 photos in a photo library.

I haven't noticed any performance issue with a large library of Photos.  My largest library has 40000 photos.

During the regular work with the size of the library is not serious at all, as long as you want to keep enough free storage on your system drive. Don't let the photo library fill in your system drive. Keep at least 10 GB free at all times, better more.

However, there are rare occasions when the size will be discussed:

    • When you need repair library, it will take more time, if the library is large.
    • When you first migrate your libraries of photos, the initial treatment will take longer - scanning for faces and places, creating thumbnails.
    • If you use iCloud library synchronization can take a long time for a large library.
    • Too many smart albums can make pictures a little slower, if the library is large.  I noticed a drop in performance, after that I created 200 smart albums with a search for text across the entire library.
  • Question of fundamental change first Elements 7 for DV

    Hi all

    I have PE7, a quad-core Q6600 and Windows 7 64-bit.

I captured about 6 hours of Standard definition a film DV 16:9 of the church ceremony.  Video was taken of an old Pana PV-GS320.

The Church wants a dynamic video to be produced from the captured sequences (60 minutes more than in length).  I intend to do a lot of different effects including semi-transparent overlay video, picture in picture, inserting pictures and audio inputing the video of the ceremony.  The final product will be a standard definition DVD disc.

I did some research about how the DV is interlaced and output to DVD must be interlaced (unless I am mistaken in this conclusion, let me know).  I also know that doing heavy editing with interlaced images (slowing/speeding up footage, zoom in and out, rotation, several overlay, etc.) may create flicker and "mouse teeth" in the video.  I also searched through these forums and continue to run in HD questions/solutions...  I guess I asking an old question that has probably been answered a long time ago when a DV tape ruled the world.

    QUESTION 1:

So, if I may ask, in order to obtain the best results, prepare my raw images in PE7 before editing it by (1) deinterlace it? (2) exporting as progressive? (3) both? (4) leave it alone and start to change there? or (5) if I'm missing another option?

    QUESTION 2:

Also, what the resolution would be preferable to import photos into the project?

I know that the best way to work with any video must make as small as possible changes to it, but it's inevitable in my case.  No one wants to attend 6 hours of video...

Thank you very much for reading my questions and I really hope that you have time to answer!  Thanks for any information!  I really appreciate it!

    -141rockwell

Relax, rockwell. You do all this unnecessarily complicated.

If you capture your video to DV - AVI via a FireWire connection, you will not get "mouse teeth" in your final product. The program is designed for working with interlaced video and create interlaced DVDs. The results should look almost as good as the original film. You can't damage video with "excessive change.

Just trust the program to deal with technical issues. You can concentrate on editing.

In regards to the photos you want to add, you will get the best results if they are not larger than 1000 x 750 pixels in size, by the frequently asked questions to the right of the forum.
