First magenta is not printing, then things are weird...

First Magenta does not print, even if all the diagnostic tests said that everything was fine.

I put in a new ink cartridge and print very well magenta, but now all of a sudden Blue will not be printed.

I tried to align the print heads, but he told me that the Avenue has failed. The printer is only about 6 months and out of warranty.

What the devil? It was working fine.

I put the printer through all the cleanings and diagnosis, I was able to find and do not know what it takes now another a bridge off the coast.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Bob

miamibob,

I'm sorry that you have a print quality problem. The printer warranty is a guarantee of one year. If the printer is only 6 months old, it will still in warranty. As you finish cleaning and everything, it will more then likely to be hardware then I would contact HP total care at 800-474-6836.

Katherine, this could work, it did for me. But whatever it is, it won't hurt to try.

First, shut down your computer. Then unplug the wire from the back of your printer that goes to your computer. Wait 20 seconds, reconnect the wire to your printer and then restart your computer. Cross your fingers and try your printer.

If this doesn't resolve the problem, try to uninstall and then reinstall the printer software.

If all goes well, one of these remedies will solve your printer problem.

  • HP OfficeJet 6500 wireless do not print because there are 2 days, I changed my wireless router

    Original title: print printer print

My HP OfficeJet 6500 Wireless will not print because 2 days ago, I changed my wireless router. The printer is no longer under warranty and I'm using Windows 7 OS. I have

Assuming that there is a wireless connection to the printer, the most likely cause of the problem is that the printer is configured to obtain its IP address automatically, and the new router has assigned to the printer an IP address that is different from that which was initially awarded.

To check if the above is the question:

Controls on the front panel of the printer allows you to print a Network Setup page:
From the home screen, press the right arrow, and then select Setup.
Touch reports, click Network Configuration Page.

Find the IP address of the printer on the Network Configuration page.

On your computer, go to devices and printers

    • Right-click on your printer icon, and then select "printer properties".
    • Click the "Ports" tab
    • WITHOUT clicking anywhere in the list of ports other than the right scroll bar, find the line highlighted (the one with the box in the box)
    • Is the 'Port' the same as the IP address of the printer that you noted on the Network Configuration page?
    • Assuming that the port in the printer properties dialog box is not the same as that shown on the Network Configuration page, click the "Configure Port" button and enter the correct IP address in the box "printer name or IP address.
    • OK your way out

To avoid this problem does not happen, read the User Guide for the your printer and configure the printer to use a static or fixed IP address.  Choose an address that is in the same subnet as the router but outside the range of addresses used by the DHCP server on the router.  You can find this information on the configuration of your router utility.

For example, most Linksys/Cisco routers use the IP addresses of the form 192.168.1.x and allocate addresses in the range 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.150.  In this case, you should take a static IP as 192.168.1.20 (20 is outside the range of 100 to 150).

Test print on printer directly report page: same result, cyan and black are OK, yellow and magenta will not print. Any help? Bought these original cartridges again, 933XL.

Thanks for the link/document showing how to solve my problem. I had already done most of the steps proposed but remained the problem of horizontal white streaks in magenta during Diagnostics.

I called HP support, this time to connect to a branch in the United States,-(not supported by the 'HP' I had initially called with foreigners, answering the line who tried to get me to buy a service contract).

HP will send a replacement magenta cartridge and I'll see if that solved the problem. Otherwise, I was told my printer is still within the warranty and will be replaced by another which has been refurbished.

That will be fine. However, it is always frustrating to pay $42.00 for the new original HP ink cartridges, then half their levels making cleaning head printer and diagnostics on an old printer for 2 months of use.

Installation HP2575 on another PC with 8.1 Windows 64-Bit operating system.  After installing new printer cartridges have been installed, print heads were clean and aligned and even Magenta will not print.

Take a look at the diagnostic test page.  Colors have lines through them, and the depth of the colors are not what they should be. We did change color saturation temperature and do not have an increase in the saturation of Magenta.

What else should I consider troubleshooting?

Alchohal Publix swabs to clean electrical contacts and the nozzles on the printer cartridges. Also cleaned the contact electric coupling on the printer.

  • HP Deskjet 2542: HP Deskjet 2542 does not print

My printer stopped working all of a sudden, and I wonder what could have happened or what I'm doing wrong.

The problem started when I replaced the cartridges in there. Since then, even if the printer seems to be very well connected and it appears among the devices on the Control Panel, I was not able to print anything. Once I have send anything whether to print in Word, the program processes the order and the printer icon appears in the start menu. Briefly, it is written "1 document waiting to be printed", but then the printer made noises and after a few seconds, the status changes to '0 documents waiting to be printed' and the printer does nothing.

I already uninstalled the drivers, restarted the computer and reinstalled the printer from the available online Installer. This time, however, I opted for the printing option USB avoid problems with wireless option I had previously. The problem persists and I can not print a thing.

My sister has the same type of computer with Windows 7 on it, and she is able to print correctly.

This are not the new controls and after the update to quickbook pro 2013 all printed fine for a week.

    Hey jcort,

There are things you can try in this case.  I assume that you are using a Windows PC, is this correct?

If so, then open the printers or printers and faxes for older versions of Windows and devices page.

    • Right-click on the printer
    • Select the printer properties
    • At the top of the general tab: change the name of the long name just HP 6500 printer and click on apply

I've seen some strange problems with Quickbooks in the past when a printer name is too long.  Can not solve the problem, it is a good step in a first time for questions of Quickbooks.

So, I saw people having some success in defining quality in project mode, when you attempt to print checks from this software suite.  Print in draft mode can disable paper sensors that generate paper mismatch error.  The check is printed if you set the draft mode?
