Five PC and my broadband connection are 100% wireless.

I live in the country, no cable and no DSL and forget satellite.  $100.00 per 10 GB of data, I can't afford to download 5 times.  I need to download it and install it on my 5 systems, who already have the upgrade of Windows reserved 10.  How can I do this?

I multiple computers, do I need to download 10 Windows on each computer?

You can download a. ISO file and update each computer offline. The ISO should be available at the time where Windows 10 launches.

How to: upgrade previous versions of Windows using the file ISO for Windows 10

Please note that you may need to download the right edition of Windows 10 for the version/edition of Windows that you are upgrading. If you upgrade to the wrong edition, IE. Windows 7 Edition Home Premium Windows 10 Pro, you will need to purchase a license to go back to Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 10 Pro and upgrade to Windows 10 Home.

What are the editions of Windows 10 available?

  • B210A Photosmart - server connection error and does not connect to the wireless router

I have problems setting up and to connect my router to my new printer b210A. Everything goes well with the initial configuration, and when asked to connect to the network at the start, it works. Then he said that the printer requires updates, downloads of updates, reboots, asks me if I want to activate eprint and as soon as I said 'Ok', I get a "the server connection error" and it is then no longer connected to the network. When I get out of the "server connection error" screen and attempt to reconnect to the network, he says 'Success', prints a Test report wireless, but never connects.

It's the 2nd printer that I have had in a week, given that the person of HP online chatting told me my first printer had problems of "hardware", after experiencing the same problems and I'll be recommended. So - I did, and now I'm running into the same issues. The number of 800 was NO HELP - after recommended I have unplug and reconnect, then telling me there were server errors (when the printer was not connected to the network).

We will set an IP address of the printer with a special focus on DNS domains:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). You can find the beach DHCP from the router using its internal settings page or in its manual. Use the CD that came with your router or type the IP address of the router (ends para.1) in a browser.
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway

-For the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for the second use.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Homegroup = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Network of home or work = fundamentally similar (and better) to the previous Working Group sharing methods which allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

To get best results connect to each computer system screen and set all the computers to be on a bearing the same name of Working Group , while each computer has its own unique name.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_name.jpg

Make sure that the software firewall, AV, or other security components allow free local traffic on all network computers. If you use the 3rd group of security, firewall native Vista/XP must be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted
Please Note that some 3rd party software firewall/AV/security costumes continue to block aspects of the Local traffic even it they are off (off).
If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic.

If you end up with the 3rd party software uninstalled or disabled, make sure that Windows native firewall is active .

    -----------------

Network Win 7 with another version of Windows as a work network (works very well if all computers are Win 7 also).

In the center of the network, by clicking on the type of network opens the window to the right.

Choose your network type. Note the check box at the bottom and check/uncheck depending on your needs.

When you have finished the configuration of the system, it is recommended to restart everything the router and all computers involved.

    -------------

If you have permission and security issues with Vista/Win7, check the following settings.

Point to a folder that wants to share do right click and choose Properties.

    In the properties

Click on the Security tab shown in the bellows of the photo on the right) and verify that users and their permissions (see photo below Centre and left) are configured correctly. Then do the same for the authorization tab.

This screen shot is to Win 7, Vista menus are similar.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/permission-security.jpg

The Security Panel and the authorization Panel, you need to highlight each user/group and consider that the authorization controls are verified correctly.

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

    * Note . The groups and users listed in the screen-shoot are just an example. Your list will focus on how your system is configured.

    * Note . All the users who are allowed to share need to have an account onall computers that they are allowed to connect to.

Everyone is an account, that means a group of all users who already have an account now as users. It is available to avoid the need to configure permission for each on its own, it does not mean all those who feel that they would like to connect.

  • Using the network authentication Windows 7 name of user and password to connect to a network (internet access)

When I try to CONNECT to my network, I get a window of security Windows network authentication requires a user name and password. I have no idea this here. Apparently until I find it I will not be able to connect wirelessly to the Internet

I assume you are using Windows 7 and trying to connect to the wireless network? There are many discussions here for precisely this question and answers not very unhelpful.  Have you tried to manually add the wireless network and select Connect automatically?   This seems to have solved my problems.

    1. open network and sharing Center (click on start - Control Panel - Network and sharing Center)

    2. click on manage networks wireless on the left side and opens a new window - manage wireless networks that use (wireless)

    3. click on add

    4. click on add a network profile

    5. Enter the name of the network - security Type and security key (this info should be provided by your internet service provider)

    6. check the box that says "Connect automatically when this network is in range" and click the next button

    7. click on the close button in the next window that opens (or you can take a look at the settings, if you like, and then click close)

  • From high-speed wireless broadband with a cable modem, and shows the connection, but cannot access the web w / IE8

I have Windows Vista, IE 8 and labtop HP Pavilion. I had just recently Cricket Wireless Broadband, with a USB wireless modem. I now have the Charter/Comcast broadband through my cable. The modem is connected to my PC via the Ethernet port. On the connection icon on the toolbar on the right down, it shows that I am connected. The "Local Area Connection Status" in the network and sharing Center seems to be connected, since bytes are sent and received.

However, when I'm on IE8, it acts as if there is no connection. Not being able to view the web page. Also, now when I go to a local WiFi hotspot, I can't connect to a network, just as I always, and it shows that there is a link, however, it won't let me access the internet. It used to work, before everything first, I connected the cable modem.

    Any ideas? Thank you!!

    JFerguson15,

If the Cricket connection works correctly but your cable connection is not, which suggests the computer is set up correctly and the problem is with the cable connection. All other systems are able to connect through the connection of the Charter? If this isn't the case, please contact Charter and see if they are able to determine the issue on their end or help you reconfigure the modem.

  • I do not use sync and am not connected? Why my favorites are synchronization?

My desktop computer has a series of bookmarks that I use at work. My home PC has another, different set of bookmarks that I use at home. I do not use sync and am not connected to sync on each PC. Why my favorites are the synchronization between two PCs? For example, I noticed several bookmarks near the top of my bookmark menu over a line of separation that I do not have to work. I deleted them. I come home and find those missing same bookmarks from my PC at home. I do not want to synchronize anything between the two computers, why what is happening?

Maybe an add-on is the sync these for you.
