Fixed size objects

I work with older versions of Illustrator and InDesign (10 and 2 respectively!) and I'm looking to upgrade.

Can someone let me know if a given function has been added in the Middle decade? I need a way to create objects of a fixed size, which do not change in size when the work place is resized in InDesign. I'm sure that would change in EPS, doubt that it has been added, but worth a try. At work, the purpose of each fixed size origin would scale with the rest of the work, but dimensions, type size, line etc. width would not wait. Even better would be a way to put the dimensions under certain conditions, according to what scale had been applied to the EPS.

Example:

I'm working on a series of maps in Illustrator. Some items (such as the markers for the cities, text for city names), I still want to have a fixed size, regardless of the EPS resulting to be cropped/resized etc in InDesign after being placed.

Thanks in advance for any info!

It is not possible.

  • Generating fixed size rectangles in Illustrator?

I know how to produce objects of fixed size in Photoshop, but work with Illustrator CC and can't seem to identify a way to do the same.  Am wary that as a "vector" program, Illustrator does not support the creation of fixed size objects.  Is this true?  Or could someone point me to how I can fix the size of a rectangle in Illustrator?  Thank you!

Click the Rectangle tool in the toolbar

    Click on the artboard

    Enter the dimensions

    Ok

  • Find/replace width size object

    Hi guys,.

    So here's the problem:

I have a long catalog of over 900 pages and I slightly modified a textframe to options and other styles of object, but bottomline, it is that now I have to change the width of executives of texts related to 62 mm (now 61 mm). «I tried the options of ' object ' find/replace, but I can't find the right way to do it.» It is even possible to do with the object search/replace? I have to change manually linked texts more than 6,000 executives if it doesn't work :/

I have to do it with Grep script and how is this possible if I have to do with it?

    object_resize.jpg

Thanks in advance if you answer to this problem!

    HA!

I found the solution (ish), basically, it is possible to change the dimensions of the object with the object of "find/replace". Bart Van de Wiele thanks for the trick of "fixed-width columns.

    1. ." Find the Format of the object"-> what type of object style" "you are looking for and then put 'Text block Options'-> width (exp. 55 mm)
    2. "Changing the Format of the object"-> go to "Text frame General Options"-> "columns: fixed width '-> width (exp. 56 mm, I have 3 mm inset spacing left & right 56 + 6 is 62 mm).
    3. Change desired linked text frames, BUT you have this kind of problem where you can't change the sizes of width of executives related because they are "fixed size".
    4. Click on one of the frames of linked text changed and go to 'Options of Style' where you get that "+" - sign. Click on the options 'clear the replacements '.
    5. Now you have changed all you want linked text frames, and you can change the width too.

  • write with a fixed size tdms files

Hi guys, I'm stuck with the problem of how to write a series of files tdms with each file has a fixed size of continuous analog sound recordings. Each file is named by the timestamps. The solution that I am trying at the moment is to create a new tdms file all the few seconds (provided) using the PDM open function. This idea implies a case structure for the State. When it is true, the new file name is created and then the open function tdm is called. When it is not true, I would use the name of the file created earlier. However, I do not know how to get the filename that is created previously, and so I'm unable to wire the false conditon of the structure of the case. Any help would be appreciated.

  • tables of fixed size in FPGA compilation error - how to implement a waveform control in an FPGA?

    Hello

After being stuck for two days, please let me briefly describe my project and the problem:

I want to use the cRIO FPGA for iterative control of waveforms. I want to capture a full period of the waveform, subtracting a reference waveform period and apply control algorithms on this. Subsequently the new period of correction must be sent again for the output module OR. If it does not work, the captured waveform will look like the one reference after several iterations.

I am planing to create an array of size fixed for the capture and the reference waveform (each around 2,000 items for a given period). I use so 2 paintings of each elements of 2000. I use the function 'replace the subset of table' to update each element captured in the loop sampling and a feedback for each table node to keep in memory (I also tried shift registers, but then the berries do not have a fixed size any more and I can't start the compilation process).

If I try to compile the FPGA vi, I get the following error:

    Details:
ERRORortability:3 - Xilinx this application runs out of memory or met a memory conflict.  Use of current memory is 4167696 KB.  You can try to increase physical or virtual memory of your system.  If you are using a Win32 system, you can increase your application from 2 GB to 3 GB memory using the 3 G switch in your boot.ini file. For more information, please visit Xilinx answer Record #14932. For technical support on this issue, you can open a WebCase with this project attached to http://www.xilinx.com/support.
    "Synthesize - XST" process failed

Before I added berries to my code I could compile the FPGA without problems. So, it seems that the tables are too big for the FPGA. :-(

Therefore, I would like to ask if there is perhaps a better method to implement my problem in LabVIEW FPGA? How could avoid the tables to save my waveforms on a period?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

    Best regards

    Andreas

Unfortunately, the LabVIEW FPGA compiler cannot deduct stores shipped from berries (yet). When you create these two large paintings, you are creating essentially several registers very, very large. Just by looking at your picture, I guess that there are at least 4 copies of each of the tables.

You want to use LabVIEW FPGA memories instead. You can create memories outside the loop and then read/write them where you are currently referencing the berries. The only change that you really need to do is to break down your treatment in scalar operations. I have attached a simplified version of your plan, I hope it helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.

  • [FPGA] Fixed size chart question

I noticed that if I have a case (true or false) structure and wire an array of fixed size for the same result in each case where the size fixed two tables is the same, that the wire becomes an array of variable size outside the structure of matter - no point to indicate a casting. Is this a bug? It's pretty boring.

    That looks like a bug.

  • Fixed size array has no cases of change of value

I am running LabVIEW 9.0 on Windows XP, develop for Windows and cRIO (RT and FPGA).

I created an array of fixed size (4 items) of fixed point numbers. I have put at the disposal of the control to the user on the Panel before Windows. I plan to pass the values down through the RT for the FPGA for use during the measurements, so I used the same type (fixed Points fixed-size table) in all 3 locations. I want to trigger an event whenever the value in the array (no items) Exchange (send new values to cRIO and save to disk). The event of 'Change of value' is grayed out for this control. No matter what I do, I was unable to create an array of fixed size of fixed points which will allow the event to change the value.

Is this a bug in LabVIEW, or a fundamental limitation?

    Hi LabVU_Dog,

I'm not entirely sure why the event of changing the value is not available, but it may have to do with the lack of full support for arrays of fixed size outside the FPGA Module.  Herean article on this subject and the possible solutions for the use of arrays is fixed.

  • Write the table of data (with a fixed size)

    Hi fellow users of LabView,.

My problem is very basic, I'm sorry about that, I'm just a beginner

I get continuous data of a function and I want to write them in a table with a fixed size. The fixed size is because I want to get the max/min of the latest x items entry. I tried this for an hour now with different approaches, but nothing seems to work, so I'm quite frustrated to post my problem here.

I hope that the VI is understandable even with foreign securities. Basically, I want to make two light up if my data within a period equal to or less than a reference value.

I'm grateful for any hint of help

Use min & max ptbypt with the length of the buffer desired story.

  • I would like to resize the windows of fixed size...

I feel almost ridiculous to have to ask this question, but after many (MANY) searches on the internet, I simply could not find a single effective fix.  Basically I want to somehow resize a window of fixed size (even through a registry hack).  More directly, I want to "expand" the columns resizable/visible so that I could FULLY discovered, for example, the paths of very long filenames, etc. - including the windows "System Configuration" window.  I'll do whatever it takes: registry hacks, utility installs... little matter.  It simply must be a solution to this age-old problem.  Thank you.

Not sure, but maybe investigate http://download.cnet.com/Resize-Enable/3000-18487_4-75447319.html

I never tried myself so can't tell how a good or bad, that is. And as always, AV check the download before install - just to play safe.

Thanks for the quick return, George.  Unfortunately (and), I have downloaded and tested Resize-activate the same day I "gave up" and started this post.  It's funny, though, how the minds of Microsoft can't see the forest for the trees sometimes.  It is an age-old problem, and all simply be aware now.  Take care.

Did you run the executable an administrator?

I used ResizeEnable and you need to right click on the executable and select run as administrator.

    It works fine on Msconfig

  • Sensitive page but I need several elements remain fixed size and position

    Hello

I create a project in EA where there should be responsive, but the logo in the upper left part must remain in position and fixed-size.

I tried may things but nothing seems to work.

The logo is a .svg file and I tried:

    wrapping it in a div

    What makes a symbol

various options from the "Use the presets for reactive structure" button in the properties panel

manufacturing stage is unresponsive, then selecting all other symbols outside logo and using the power button on the page mentioned above to select the scaling

I spent days on this thing, and it just doesn't work.

Is this a case of edit the .js or html directly?

    I am using v 2014.1.1

    Please can someone help?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Just display back because I found a solution for this.

Because the logo was not an interactive element, I just added to the HTML page and positioned with a bit of CSS

  • tool how can I define culture fixed size in pixels of the cultures

    Hello

I use PhotoShop output CC 2015.0.0.  Quite often, I export a bitmap (bmp) from another application.  I then open in PhotoShop and trimming to get the size I want, in my current project is 1024 pixels wide by 350 pixels high.  I normally repeat this process several times.  Whenever I open a bitmap newly exported in PhotoShop, my area of culture begins with bigger that I want it, and I have to drag the edges to the size I want.  I wish that I could either to the exact size of type (1) of the area of the cultures I want in pixels or better yet (2) create a crop 'preset' box I can use over and over again with the pixel dimensions I want.

I was not able to understand how do either of these things.  In attempting to (1), I chose 'W x H x résolution' and entered my desired width and height, in pixels, but it has not changed my culture area.  In wanting to create a preset, I did manually drag the edges of the acreage for the size I want and then chose "New crop Preset" and he gives a name, but when I change the size of the crop manually, hoping that I can return to my desired culture zone by choosing my preset, it does not either.

If someone can tell me if/how I can do what I want, I would appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul

The pixels that disappears when zooming in will soon be corrected in the next update. The other option for something that size would create a form of rectangle to a fixed rate of size, when you get positioned TI ctrl - click on its thumbnail to create selection and harvest.
