Fixing local axis in transformation Mode (non-Smart object)

Hi guys,.

I was wondering if there is a way to track the axis of rotation of the object something like the difference between Local and Global of the axes in 3d programs.

I don't know if I started the transformation as a Smart Objects and keep it in a smart object, he remembers. Y at - it no alternative workaround for an non-smart object to keep this information?

Just try my luck here. Thank you

There is a big difference between a smart object layer and a frame later. If a dynamic object layer seems to behave as a raster operation layer is very different.  Pixels rendered by do not change, they are only acted on the Photo. Everything is recorded for the layer, each layer to smart object has an associated transform.  If you turn the layer actually set again you the recorded turn your not done not a new.  If you transform a layer rasterizes you wind from another layer, Pixels may have been deleted or added that you don't have access to the old data except in Photoshop specific story until it is deleted.  Dynamic object data are protected and survive even save in a layered document.

  • Citing the free transform on the smart object place encompassing top left

    I've got something weird going on in PS CC 2015. It runs on a computer Windows 10. I placed a psd file of a company in the active document logo. I shot it, scaled and added some layer styles. Then at some point I had to resize it again, so I called the free transform command, but now the framework encompassing loads in the upper left corner of the document. Any changes to one of the settings in the Panel Options F. T. causes the logo to disappear completely, even if I can go back to the default values. This occurs only after I added a mask to the layer. Without the mask, everything works fine - add the mask, and I get this oddity.

    I had frequent problems trying to resize the smart objects - I am unable to use the transformation. I had this problem on several images. I had some success by restarting Photoshop CC and Windows, but this does not always solve the problem. Is this a known issue? It's really annoying. • From the iPhone to the phone's base (non-smart) and now some texts come not through.

    Hello! Because my iPhone stopped working, I use a basic (non-smart) as a temporary measure phone. It uses the same number of phone as before, however, when my friends with iPhones text me SMS they sometimes appear on their phones as "iMessage" and never pass for my basic phone. I don't want to they have to cross, then select 'Send as message text' whenever they're trying to reach me. Is there a way I can make it just automatically pass in the form of texts on my end? Thanks for your help!

    On their phone, they must activate the SMS in settings > Messages > Send as SMS. Unless you have an iPhone, they can't have iMessage with you.

  • Fixed/Local Flash drives.

    If I understand the situation, flash drives (almost?) always identified themselves as removable. With the release of Windows 8, SanDisk has taken the decision that their readers identify as fixed/Local, which is not removable.

    However, Sandisk and then had a change of mind and returned to removable. Unfortunately, their packaging does not indicate clearly what identification provides the flash player. Were they made available a tool for fixed/removable local conversion.

    Almost everyone of my many flash drives is bootable (utilities, antivirus, etc.). Unfortunately most of the utilities to create bootable flash drives simply don't see fixed/Local flash drives (Norton Bootable Recovery Tool, Acronis Rescue Media Builder).

    If I have correctly summarize the things, so my pack of three facets Cruzer is the last purchase of SanDisk that I'll never do.

    Kind regards

    David.

    Not all utilities for making bootable on fixed drives flash drives are impassable, that just the old ones not supported.  Try RMPrepUSB.  Personally I would write to the sellers of the apps you use and complain.

    If the 3 pack you have purchased does not work for you, you should go back to where you bought them and recover your money or others.

  • Type the width or height values in the strangely slow transformation mode in Photoshop 2015

    This is the version 2015.0.1.

    For any document, any type of layer, call processing (usually at the command-T) mode and try to type in the fields width or height of the toolbar options will make the application is not responding for several seconds. It may be that this applies only for the first time using processing during a session, not course.

    Steps to reproduce:

    -Open a document

    -Select a layer

    -Enter the transform mode with command-T (on Mac)

    Context-click on the field width or height value in percentage to the pixel value to (maybe that is the real question)

    -Try to type in the field

    Expected result:

    -Reasonably responsive typing.

    Actual result:

    -App is suspended for a period of time.

  • Transform will not work on a smart object in Photoshop CC 2015

    I can't to scale the smart object. I take the transformation handles and pull it where I want, but when I let go of the handle the transformation box disappears and the image returns to its original size. He will not keep the transformation.

    It's been a while, but I know that I've done it before. A suggestion that I read was to rasterize the smart object. Who does not use the transformation, but it removes the ability to open the smart object and make adjustments in Camera Raw. When I'm compositing, I want to use the smart object to quickly set things like the color temperature.

    Anyone know the solution?

    Try to reset your preferences: ctrl/cmd-alt/opt-shift at the start of the PS.

  • Yet CS6 cannot run in serialized Mode Non-redevance

    I had a lot of problems to make Encore CS6 runs correctly.

    I have a subscription to creative cloud.

    I downloaded Premiere Pro. First is installed as well as yet.

    When I opened again for the first time, everything works fine. Once I got close and try to open it again, I get an error message that says:

    "Adobe CS6 still cannot operate in serialized mode non-redevance. The application must be serialized with a royalty bearing serial number.

    After that, another window opens asking me to enter a serial number. As I am a subscriber of creative cloud, that I don't have a serial number to get in here. Adobe does not provide one for users of creative Cloud.

    (I've included screenshots of these posts below).

    I have lived many messages from the forum and even tried to contact Adobe, but no one has any solution to this. The customer service is almost non-existent.

    Here's what I 'think' is happening.

    Initially, I downloaded and tried to run again as a trial. Later, I decided to subscribe via Creative Cloud. I deleted again and first since my mac (but has not used the "uninstall" option, because I didn't know that existed, I just deleted all the files). I downloaded then first again as shown in creative cloud. I guess there could be a kind of hidden file or key that says not to run without a serial number. How to remove this file/key or even if that's the problem I have no idea.

    I hope someone here can help you!

    My only solution at the moment whenever I have to use again is to uninstall and reinstall. This is very far from ideal!

    Help!

    enc2.jpg

    Hi jaypurcell,

    I think that you are facing this problem because you do not uninstall the earlier version properly. First uninstall your current version and then try to clean your machine to remove all traces of previous installation using the cleanup scripts posted by Adobe here - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

    and then install again yet.

    You can paste the items copied from Illustrator into Photoshop as smart objects - just choose this option.

    Magneticbear: When you place your object in Photoshop, you have the Antialias checked (in the options bar) before commit you the transformation?  Without it, you would get the result of type you specify.

  • Why my smart objects lose shape when it is changed?

    DSP 10 - windows.

    I have a project that contains objects communicating shaped like a magazine, so that the pages are forms bizarre models.

    When I click on a smart object and modify the content and open and then save again, the original object loses its unique shape and ends simply by the place.

    Normally I would merge the smart object open, but tried to leave in layers and various other options, but every time I have save the smart object updated (even if I just change the color of the smart object) when I have the resave, it loses shape magazine page.

    Normally, I would say that this problem is in the file, but I have had this experience on more than a sham.

    Dynamic objects appear as they should be relatively easy, what don't get me?

    klipKG_001.jpg

    This is the original file... you can see the dynamic object from the point of view

    klipKG_004.jpg

    so I open the smart object, paste in my art, flatten and save.  (I also tried do not flatten)

    klipKG_005.jpg

    in any case, when I save the smart object I lose shape and just get a result of squares.  UGGG.

    What Miss me?

    Recently, I gave a moment to complain on the forums of non-functioning and I did a few years ago, vowed not to come until they are fixed. But the person with a good heart in me can't let somebody question remain unanswered. (I used as one of the posters who have contributed regularly here. Consider this a small dose of expertise, the forums are missing on ignoring the pleas of users like me who made them useful and functional compared to management that makes them unwieldy and simply not work!)

    The reason why your smart objects lose their point of view is because they were created in a later version of Photoshop with a change of perspective that is not supported in earlier versions. (Your CS3, for example) To make it backward compatible and editable in your version, the person who uses the latest version of CS must simulate the perspective transformation with the functions of 'chain', then you will be able to update your smart objects with no problems.

  • Smart objects - copy without referencing the Original SO?

    A question from me

    If I copy a raster layer several times for an animation to image, then it makes sense to do than the smart object layer.  What I do, but I'm missing something.  For example, there is a video going around on photo blogs today, a lady in charge by an elk, but missed the guy with the iPhone, so I quickly put together.

    Elk-Lady.gif

    The video has been radically challenged in the Department of pixel, so I made the Lady layer one OC and formulated a number of copies.  Same thing with the Elk (from a different source), where I used Puppet Warp to simulate a bucking motion.  In both cases, Free transforming the PW YES, or using copied, caused the original SO layer to reflect the changes.  Not good at all. And it's something that's happened to me before.

    Then a little later, Google I found this old threadand tried his advice to slide SO the layer to the new icon of layer instead of using Ctrl j.  But that's where it weird, because now I could use Ctrl j and PW as before and modify a copied SO layer without affecting the original.

    Someone has a good understanding of why my SOs don't always work in the same way for me?  I guess I should man to the top and RTFM, but I was using what I thought exactly the same workflow in different documents and get different behavior.

    Working with smart objects in Photoshop

    I don't see this problem in PS CC 2015 (Mac) with copy/duplicate methods. Are you sure that you not open the parent (SO) and the transformation (Puppet Warp or free transform) running on the child (content)?

    Application of puppets Warp to a smart object layer apply PW as a dynamic filter that is only attached to this layer (you will see in the layers), and if none of the other layers will be affected by PW. But if you run PW on duplicate content, clicking on a smart object to see the child record, then all layers will be affected.

    Looks like you know what you're doing, but the PW behavior as a dynamic filter is specifically designed for the layer that the smart filter is applied.

  • What is the best way to manipulate the shape of a layer to smart object in Photoshop?

    I have a smart object in photoshop which is a rectangle, and I want to deform slightly so it looks it was filed on the ground (basically, I need to change the position of the corners to make it look in perspective).

    If I did that to an object in Illustrator I was going to just use the direct Selection tool and drag the anchor points in the corners of the rectangle. I know there is a direct selection tool in Photoshop, but my smart object doesn't seem to have all the anchor points on it to manipulate (v. new Photoshop user, sorry).

    I know you can use a mesh of string objects, but as this is just a simple rectangle I was hoping that it would be a less complicated way? That it's just the positioning of the corners that must fit.

    Thanks for the tips!

    Alanna salvation,

    You can use Edition > free transform or Ctry/Cmd-T, to reshap the smart object.

  • Change of image when converting to smart object

    Well, that's a new one on me.

    I have a simple image with a layer and layers of setting three on top.

    Mixer - with blue layer refused to 0%

    Posterize - 3 levels

    Black and white - no changes to the default values

    It gives me a black and white posterized picture-as I expect. All blending modes are normal and without layer effects are applied and there is no other layers on.

    However, when I change to a dynamic object - level poster borders move (see example cut the corner of the picture below)

    If I open the smart object - everything is as before, if I close (save the object) and discovers the smart object in the main image, change the posterization.

    I work in 16-bit and image and the dynamic object are in Adobe RGB. I get the same effect with the GPU acceleration on or off

    I am at a loss to explain why I see a change while creating a dynamic object.

  • Smart object and anti alias

    Hello world

    I have a document with a rectangle shape in the PS as a smart object. I use it to model where I can change the cover on a screen of magazine, etc.

  • How to detect smart objects in Photoshop?

    Hello

    I need to detect the smart objects files related to local level to specific JavaScript locations in the HTML5 extension. How can I do this?

    Consider this pseudo-code:

      if (app.documents.length)
      {
        var doc = app.activeDocument;
        for (var ilayer = 0; ilayer < doc.artLayers.length; ilayer++)
        {
          var layer = doc.artLayers[ilayer];
          if (LAYER_IS_LINKED_SMART_OBJECT(layer))
          {
            var localFilePath = GET_SMART_OBJECT_REFERENCED_FILEPATH(layer);
          }
        }
      }

    Here, I need implementations of two functions:

    1 LAYER_IS_LINKED_SMART_OBJECT()

    2 GET_SMART_OBJECT_REFERENCED_FILEPATH()

    Thank you in advance!

    Here is the final solution (with no error checking):

      if (app.documents.length)
      {
        var doc = app.activeDocument;
        for (var ilayer = 0; ilayer < doc.artLayers.length; ilayer++)
        {
          var layer = doc.artLayers[ilayer];
          if (layer.kind == LayerKind.SMARTOBJECT)
          {

            var ref = new ActionReference();
            ref.putIdentifier(charIDToTypeID('Lyr '), layer.id );

            var desc = executeActionGet(ref);
            var smObj = desc.getObjectValue(stringIDToTypeID('smartObject'));
            var localFilePath = smObj.getPath(stringIDToTypeID('link'));
          }
        }
      }
