  An easy to use view fixed toolbar position really should not be used with the only Trackpad devices, but rather really only with contact devices.   Basically because you will never be able to get the focus on the buttons at the top of the screen until you scroll to the top anyway.  Then they essentially take up screen real estate while you are scrolling without being able to interact with them.

  As part of the widget because it is located, you are browsing content within frameset so your options for a fixed toolbar really are only availble for a touchscreen device.

  The best way to create a toolbar fixed position is to create a frameset with the Chief Executive being your toolbar.

  Using an older version of Firefox is not the answer. Toolbar for Firefox is a dead project from Google. Also the problem of "compatibility" with versions of Firefox 5 +, Google has changed the address of connection for 'Accounts' last month which broke the functionality of automatic connection of toolbars from Google who once worked on older versions of Firefox.

  The solution is to understand the features of the Google toolbar that you need and then look for alternative modules with the features you need.

  I had already used the flylady advantage toolbar toolbar version, I suppose, plugin. I just upgraded to the 6.0 on my new computer from an earlier version, I used on my old laptop. Well actually the profit search engine download but the toolbar does not work, which coincides with a popup plugin which says that it is not compatible with firefox 6.0. I really hope it's just a matter of time before it works every day bc, I use this toolbar and perhaps unfortunately will have to switch to IE to use it.

  Mozilla didn't create this extension of the toolbar, and they won't be updated.

  You can contact the developer of this toolbar and ask them to update the toolbar for the newer versions of Firefox. The latest version of Firefox it was compatible with was versions of Firefox 3.6.x.

  I must inform you that (as directed by your user agent string), you use Internet Explorer 8 for the moment, not Firefox. I hope that you are aware of this.

  On the toolbar, you sure it's the download which is the problem and not the installation? The toolbar may be browser specific (for example, it can work only on Internet Explorer), so if it is the facility that gives you trouble, you should contact the author of the toolbar for support.

  If it is the download that is problematic, you can have a problem with an extension or plugin that is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

I disabled the GRU.  I cleared the cache.  My catalogs are updated to LR 5.7.1.  Everything is slow.  It doesn't matter what it is.  Its takes twice as much time to do something.  LR will freeze for 5 to 15 seconds at a time without apparent reason.  The use cases are to go "Not responding" are numerous and vary widely.  I check the CPU during these events Nn sensitive usage and its pretty much slowed down.  I have check the disk usage and its also generally inactive.

  I thought it might be VSCO plugins, but it's not.  LR5.7.1 is always screaming fast while LR6 is an old slow cow.

  Here is an example that I saw that is repeatable:

  (1) start an import

  (2) choose the photos from an SD card

  3) click the + to add them to the catalog

  4) appears to enter a catalog name

  (5) start to type in the dialog box.
  (6) after may entered 8 letters, LR goes "Not responding", 10 seconds

  (7) after LR starts responding again, emphasis on catalog name field has been lost

  There is no reason for a freezing here.  The CPU does nothing.  The drive does nothing.

  There are things like that in every sense.

  Another example.

  (1) develop the Mode

  (2) select a photo

  (3) left and right panels are hidden

  (4) browse the side panel right of the mouse so that it will pop-out

  5) LR freezes for 5 seconds

  6( ) when the right panel opens, click on the number of exposure (0) and try to type in 1.25.

  7( ) after after graduating 1,2, LR hangs for 10 seconds.

  8( ) when LR answers once again, finishing by typing in the 5 other (1.25) and press to enter.

  9( ) the image immediately illuminates as expected.

  Yay!  They have updated LRCC/6 today.  The slowness and latency seem to have disappeared! Yay!  I can get back to work!

  If you are unable to display the toolbar by choosing View > show/hide > elements elements toolbar, please send along a screenshot of what you see. (And just double check that you open your PDF files in Acrobat and not player - that is a mistake that I make here and there).
