Save your file (s) to the Documents; and create folders here to keep all easily stored files.
All the files that you create in Word, etc. must be saved somewhere to keep them.

Any file (Word or other) that you save in the Documents can be copied by opening Documents > right click on the file > Send to > in the drop-down Menu that opens, you will see your Flash Drive > just select it.

If you have iCloud drive turned on in your MacBook Air, it automatically keeps a local copy on your Mac. If you hold down Option key and open the menu go to the Finder and click library, and then click Documents Mobile (or more simply click on iCloud drive in the menu go to the Finder), it will take you to the location of the local copy.

It is design direction to the synchronization of data between the devices rather than as a place of storage, where the only copy is in the cloud.

  • Copy update files to a flash drive

I would like to copy all the files and directories that have changed since a date structure specifies my iMac to move them to a flash drive and then to my PC.  I used to copy using the "XCOPY" statement when I used PC, such as xcopy C:\Documents G:\Documents/s/v/e d:01 - 01-16.  It has worked well.   Is there a way to do this from an iMac?

Open the folder source, see it as a list, click the Date Modified column, select the item to each end of the range, shift-click on the item to the other end and drag the selection to the flash player.

    1. Insert the flash drive.
    2. Open the folder that contains the photos.
    3. Click on a photo to highlight.
    4. CTRL + A will highlight all.
    5. Left-click on the mass of photos and drag them to the flash drive.
  • Copy the files from the flash drive on the hard drive but I don't want to copy the files I already have.

I have Windows XP.  I have a flash drive with many files that I have on my second hard drive.  I just it copies the files that I have on the hard drive and I don't want to have to sit and answer 'yes' or 'no' question about the replacement of files each time that it recognizes a file duplicate. How do I do that?

When you see this double prompt or not, are there not a checkbox that says something like "Always do this for all files" or something in that sense?

You can manually copy the files. Here is the CTRL key while you click the files you want and then just drag them to the location on the HARD drive.
  • Laptop HP 15-R084NG: is it possible to copy a HP recovery on another USB flash drive support?

    Hello.

    Just a few questions please:

    1. when I do only once "HP Recovery Media" to a USB key, I can then 'copy' and 'paste' on another USB flash drive as long as the 2nd flash player has sufficient capacity?

    The recovery still works well?

I ask this question in case I have to change to another USB flash drive and I am aware I can only have a copy of the HP recovery.

    2. If this is the case, I then can also make a backup on a Western Digital external drive so that in case of malfunction of the USB flash drive, can I still transfer files to another USB flash drive?

Thanks in advance for the answer.

    Best regards.
