Flash Player missing icon in windows 7 Control Panel

Title says it all; There was once an icon in the Panel on my computer for Flash Player, where you can change the update settings, storage etc. but it is now gone.  How can I get it back?  I've tried flashplayer install clean, but that did not help.

Thank you!

How do you have the control panel to display the items?  If you have set up in the category view, the Flash Player element does not appear.  It must be set on the elements of Control Panel control Panel\All for element of Flash Player to view.

He has indeed incorporated, but this isn't the latest version and from what I can see there is no way to upgrade. My Flash player crashes several times a day, and although sometimes I only need to restart my browser, it usually forces me to restart my computer. Frustrating to say the least.

    Hello

What operating system are you using on your computer?

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

    a. click Startand then click run.

    (b) in the Open box, type regedt32, and then click OK.

    c. in the registry editor, find the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

    d. in the left pane, click the Uninstall registry key, and then click export on the file menu.

    e. in the export registry file dialog box that appears, click desktop in the list record in , type Uninstall in the file name box, and then click Save.

    f. each key listed under Uninstall in the left pane of Registry Editor represents a program that is displayed in the list of currently installed programs in the add tool / remove programs. To determine which program that represents each key, click the key and discovers the following values in the details on the right pane:

Full name: the Display Name key value data the name listed in Add / Remove programs.

    - and -

UninstallString: The value of the UninstallString key data the program used to uninstall the program.

    g. After you identify the registry key that represents the program that you removed but which is still displayed in the currently installed programs list of add or remove programs, right-click the key in the left of the registry editor window pane and then click Remove.

Click Yes in response to the message "are you sure you want to delete this key and all of its subkeys?

    h. on the file menu, click Exit to quit the registry editor.

    i. click Start, click Control Paneland then click on Add / Remove Programs.

In the currently installed programs list, verify that the program whose registry key you deleted is no longer listed.

    j. do one of the following:

o If the program list is not correct in Add / Remove Programs, double-click the file Uninstall.reg that you saved on your desktop in step 5 to restore the original list of programs in the registry.

    -or-

o If the program list is correct in Add / Remove Programs, right-click the Uninstall.reg file on your desktop and then click Remove.

  • Lack of the "Change desktop icons" option in my control panel

Im trying to restore the icons of 'Trash' and 'My computer' original on my desk.

Ive played a lot with these before settings on other computers, all of which is running Windows XP or earlier. I can't find the appropriate options in the Control Panel on my vista computer. Many forums indicate the "Change desktop icons" option should be "Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization", but the link does not exist in my control panel.

Is there a way I can make this option appear?

    Hello

In the control/customization panel (or right-click on the desktop and choosing Properties), the ability to change the desktop icons under tasks in the left column, will not be like a link in the Center. You declare that this line does not exist? Good luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Crazy" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Windows help - www.rickrogers.org

  • Flash Player missing files after installation

I followed the instructions posted here by eldnolb in response to Re: still of the problems.  Here's my situation. I have installed and uninstalled the player at least 8 times today.  After each installation, I think IE7 has ver10 plugin and work well, but the flash player is missing from the Program Files folder. Also when I use the control panel for adding and removing the flash player 10 software is listed, but the size of the file is missing, because the player folder and its files are missing have been created during installation.

Now my current status is I uninstalled the drive by using the uninstall program on my office. The player recommended by eldnolb Setup fails and returns the error message that it is not the latest version (given that I had previously installed the version on the adobe download site). What should I do now? Should I download the latest version on Adobe and run it from the desktop? I use windows xp home version.

It's normal.  Flash Player is not an executable as a stand-alone player, but a web Player / browser plugin, which consists only of a DLL or OCX file, respectively.

  • Adobe Flash Player missing, even though I've updated several times.

    Hello
While I was on a website I use commonly, an error pops up telling me that I had to update or download a flash player to play a song. It was not normal because that I have updated Adobe Flash less than a week ago to the latest version of their official website, due to the same problem. I proceeded on the Adobe Flash site and, because I was unable to find another solution, installed the drive yet, guess that there is a newer version.

Meanwhile, before installing the "newer" version, I tried the same link on other browsers, I had - Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. Surprisingly, it worked. However, I prefer firefox, so I'm still trying to solve this problem.

The installer told me to close firefox, so I did. After what seemed to be a successful installation, I opened Firefox again and re-tried the link, as well as a few others. The same message has popped up and it was NOT an ad - I'm perfectly capable of recognizing a message from the Web site of an ad. I then went to another site, and the following message appeared: "Adobe Flash Player is out of date. Please update. "Current version: 0.0.0.

Surprised by all this, I went to check my Flash Player. I have on several Web sites, and they all gave the same answers - my flash drive is missing. It is quite strange, taking the fact that I put a week ago and 15 minutes before checking it in. What I also noticed is that I am still able to open youtube videos and listen to a few songs. That's about all, I am currently in a position to do so.

I don't want to change my browser because I have used Firefox for a long time, and prefer it in front of other browsers. Please help me to leave it like that. I've never had this happen to me.
    Thanks in advance.
    ~ FTBC

If necessary, the Web site that I was listening to the songs of was SoundCloud. www.soundcloud.com

For you help I would be grateful if you could answer the following questions:

    (1) what happens when you try to install Adobe Flash Player?

    (2) what happens when you try to play videos or play games using Facebook?

    (3) you get an error message / code?

    (4) outside of Facebook you are able to access other Internet sites without any problem?

    This could be due to the issue of complicity. I suggest you for the link and check if that helps;

    Method 1:

Videos won't play or Web pages do not display correctly
