  • Satellite P100-160 BT icon appears in the Control Panel, but no BT

    Hello

I have a Satellite P100-160. I am very confused as to whether I have BT or not.

    * Reasons I thought that I had BT: *.
I thought originally I had, because in 'Control Panel', it has a Bluetooth icon, which when I press on it opens the "Bluetooth devices". I also use WiFi I thought a sign that BT has been installed and working. I also notice that in Services' there is that something called 'Toshiba Bluetooth Service' running.

    * Reasons I think that now I don't have BT: *.
However, when I press Control Panel > Bluetooth devices > Bluetooth settings, nothing happens. It's as if the button is dead. And when I try to 'Add a BT device', he finds not all devices. In addition, there is no BT listed in Device Manager.

    .....

Overall, I am very confused! I bought yesterday wireless speakers after seeing the BT icon in Control Panel (I had read that if this icon was there, I got BT), but having struggled for hours trying to get BT to work yesterday, I came to the conclusion that I don't have BT at all!

Could someone explain what it means the Bluetooth icon in the control panel? Why is there if I don't have BT? Or, the icon means I have BT but am doing something wrong?

    Thanks in advance! Very frustrated!

    David.

    > Satellite P100-160. I am very confused as to whether I have BT or not

Satellite P100-160 was NOT equipped with Bluetooth module.
But maybe the battery BT software has been installed and is why the BT icon is visible in the control panel.

When I used Windows Vista for the first time that I was a bit surprised to see that the Tools menu is not found in Windows Explorer. So where is she?

It seems it was hidden from the default interface of Windows Explorer. To access, pressALT from your keyboard, and the old menu will appear.

Another quick way to find the Folder Options is to use the search box in the start menu. Just type in 'folder options' in the field of research and the first result should be the shortcutOptions files .

Click on the computer, or press the enter key to open it. Go to the view tab and make any desired adjustments.

If you want to use the new control panel, you must go to the appearance and personalization and then click onFolder Options.

If you are using the Classic view , you will see the list of items starting with the letter 'f'

  • Windows 7 backup works, but does not appear in the backup and restore control panel

I have Windows 7 Pro and have had a running backup on a network drive for a couple of years now.  So far it has worked well.

Recently, my wife asked me to postpone this off-peak hours and I went directly to the Task Scheduler and update annex it.  I also had to modify the scheduled task to wake up my laptop computer to perform the backup.
Now, after making these changes, I can see the event log that the backup started at time exact (01:00) he succeeded 30 minutes later.  I can also see on my network drive that it saved at the right time and the registry keys indicate the location of the network right.  However, when I go in the backup and restore control panel, he told me to "backup Windows has not been setup" (which previously he would show me the network location and the last backup time and the other at the request of autonomy.)
I know that backups are still viable can I do a restore to the correct network location and properly, it shows me that I have backups on this drive.  So, why the backup and restore screen is now showing me that no backup copy has been put up any ideas?
I'm a little worried that this change to the schedule has whacked a key somewhere that is using the backup and restore screen and finally the backups will fail and I don't notice unless I am constantly reviewing the event logs (which, for domestic use, isn't it convenient for me).

    Hello

To use nVidia 3D Vision, you will need to set the projector at 120 Hz
You can do this in display properties
Control Panel-> appearance and personalization-> display.

In addition you must set the GPU nVidia as a default value for specific programs to use 3D on 120 Hz disaply external.

Start-> Control Panel-> nVidia Control Panel.
Now, expand 3D category settings and select manage 3D settings.
In the program settings tab, select a program that needs to use the nVidia GPU (required for 3D) map

  • Lack of the "Change desktop icons" option in my control panel

Im trying to restore the icons of 'Trash' and 'My computer' original on my desk.

Ive played a lot with these before settings on other computers, all of which is running Windows XP or earlier. I can't find the appropriate options in the Control Panel on my vista computer. Many forums indicate the "Change desktop icons" option should be "Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization", but the link does not exist in my control panel.

Is there a way I can make this option appear?

    Hello

In the control/customization panel (or right-click on the desktop and choosing Properties), the ability to change the desktop icons under tasks in the left column, will not be like a link in the Center. • I can't not incoming and my control panel display

for the last two days I tried to get into my control panel to add and remove some files that I damage my computer. but I can't seem to see it. I click the icon and it bounces me up to a blank area then disappears immediately. now im hoping there is something or some way I can solve this problem. Please can someone help?

    Hello

What antivirus/antispyware/security products you have on your machine? Include all that already had
including those that you uninstalled. (These can leave leftovers that can cause strange problems.)

A search for all most .cpl files will be in "C:\Windows\System32" However, you can have others. Click
on each of them at a time and see if it does not start - if so right-click on it and rename it using cpZ as
the extension is to find. Retry Control Panel - if no joy persevering of all .cpl files. (Note the)
others are under other files under C:\Windows should not be judged because they are not active.)

    Some of them are appwiz.cpl firewall.cpl, desk.cpl, powercfg.cpl, inetcpl.cpl, timedate.cpl and others.

Try these in case the General corruption has a role to play:

Start - type this in the search box-> find COMMAND at the top and RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

Enter this at the command prompt - sfc/scannow

  • Bluetooth headset does not appear in the control panel

I try to use my bluetooth headset.  It is paired with success and it seems in the window bluetooth devices.  However, it will not work.  I looked in the sound control panel and the helmet does not appear.  This use to work, but stopped.  How do I add the bluetooth headset icon in the sound control panel so I can choose it as audio device by default?  I uninstalled and reinstalled the device several times.  I also have a bluetooth mouse and it works fine.  There is no other bluetooth devices.  I use Windows 7.

    Thank you

    Hello

I suggest you to update the driver for your Bluetooth device.

    Method 1:

I suggest you go through the steps and check:

    (a) Control Panel

    (b) sound > manage Audio devices

    (c) set by default

    See also:

Add a Bluetooth device to your computer

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/add-a-Bluetooth-enabled-device-to-your-computer

    Method 2:

    Step 1:

To change the audio device by default:

    (a) click the Start button

    (b) type 'Change sound card settings' or ' manage audio devices'.

    (c) click the link with the same name.

    Step 2:

    An alternative is:

    (a) right click on the sound icon in the Notification area

    (b) select "Playback devices"

    (c) a new window called Sound, opens.

    (d) in this window, you will often see the audio devices for playback, which are currently present in Windows 7.

    (e) select the device you want to set as the default value and

f key) click on the default value .

    (g) click on OK to save the current configuration.

NOTE: the default selected device will be used by all of your programs unless otherwise stated.

Set Default has two options: Default Communication device that manages all communications like the calls or videoconferencing on IM or VOIP, and default device that manages all the output is without the communication part.

To choose the device that should be the default value for the communication and device that should make the rest of the book,

    Method 3:

    (a) click on the small arrow button set as default.

    (b) If you click it, the arrow will show you both options.

    (c) Select the communications device.

    (d) click on set as default -> default Communication device.

    (e) select the device for all other types of reading and

    f) click set default-> default device

    (g) If you want the device of Communication by default and the default unit will be defined on the same audio device just click on the button set by default instead.
