Uninstall * all * Internet plugins (Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Shockwave, Adobe Air, Adober Reader, Apple QuickTime, Real Player, Microsoft Silverlight, etc.).

    Reset.

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

You can uninstall McAfee and replace it with something else.  There are several free options (Avira, Avast, AVG all come to mind) who will be probably better function and be less intrusive with fewer problems.

-Download and install all the Plugins new Internet - directly from their respective web pages.

  • Installer of flash player hangs up before installation

I'm running with Adobe flash player currently on this issue. (http://i.imgur.com/qI3aqT3.png)

I am able to download the installation program is fine. However once I have say Yes and run it as an administrator I will meet with the question of the installer hanging up as follows. I can't close even by the window of the Setup program without going into the Task Manager. I need the flash player to internet explore for dissemination purposes as xsplit requires. It works fine in firefox, but I am also afraid to uninstall my default browser in the hope that it hangs due to an already installed on firefox flash drive.

Since you talk about Task Manager, I guess you're on Windows.  Download and run the installation offline programs:

  • Flash Player don't market/installation

So far, on two computers, I had this problem.

I have no problem downloading the software, I even installed on two computers.

However, when I go to install on several computers in my workplace, it will ask you to run and not work.  I sat there for ten minutes waiting for her run and he wouldn't.  Both are XP, sp3, 1 GB, IE8.

    Does anyone have an idea?

Download Offline Installer: where can I find direct downloads of Flash Player 11 for Windows or Macintosh?

  • Flash Player missing files after installation

I followed the instructions posted here by eldnolb in response to Re: still of the problems.  Here's my situation. I have installed and uninstalled the player at least 8 times today.  After each installation, I think IE7 has ver10 plugin and work well, but the flash player is missing from the Program Files folder. Also when I use the control panel for adding and removing the flash player 10 software is listed, but the size of the file is missing, because the player folder and its files are missing have been created during installation.

Now my current status is I uninstalled the drive by using the uninstall program on my office. The player recommended by eldnolb Setup fails and returns the error message that it is not the latest version (given that I had previously installed the version on the adobe download site). What should I do now? Should I download the latest version on Adobe and run it from the desktop? I use windows xp home version.

It's normal.  Flash Player is not an executable as a stand-alone player, but a web Player / browser plugin, which consists only of a DLL or OCX file, respectively.

  • Flash Player 10 does not work in some sites, works well in others

Lately I had problems to visualize videos with Flash Player on many sites in which they considered much earlier. What I see is a solid black rectangle the size of the video screen. No player controls. Nothing. I looked at the code of the page, but found nothing out of the ordinary. The system on this machine is XP Pro with SPII, and the problem occurs whether you use IE 8 or Firefox 3.6.3. The screen showed 'about' that I had Falsh Player 10.0.32.18 installed on my system, so I downloaded 10.0.45.2 and installed, hoping that would solve the problem. Nope.

Currently goes http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ via either IE of Firefox watch I have correctly installed the version 10.0.45.2. The animation plays well in both browsers.

Today one of my friends is a graduate of Temple University in the Japan, the graduation ceremony was broadcast live (03:30 in the morning my time). I couldn't watch it. This site has been http://www.tuj.ac.jp/graduation2010/video.html hosting site is UStream, specifically http://www.ustream.tv/channel/tuj-2010-graduation I can not all videos on UStream to open. All I see is a black rectangle. My friend's mother had no problem viewed the ceremony with Firefox on his laptop computer.

Other sites that worked well recently but no longer ply videos at all on this system are Fox News and NBC News. I have no problem watching Al Jazeera news videos, but videos post on UTube. I have no problem, watch videos on UTube. BBC News videos will work also perfectly, as do many other sites videos. It makes no difference if I accept or block cookies on the sites that cnnot play videos. What is different on these sites than others?

I read that two related discussions here, not a problem with sites loading Flash... and Flash videos does not not on espn.com in any browser , but none of them had any relevant help to my problem. Re: videos not working not not on espn.com in any browser Flash Re: Player does not start The second thread was a problem loading videos from ESPN, giving the site

http://espn.go.com/video/category?id=3461971 for example. but I have no problem watching videos on this site or any other videos on ESPN. Instructions given in the first thread that is supposed to remove several files in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash folder, but I had none of the files lilsted.

Is there something in my registry that needs to be changed? Is there something that my antivirus (Bitstream) program may have killed? I really want to solve this problem.

    Thanks - Tony

You are welcome. Adobe really needs to do a better job of explaining the

consequences of changes to the settings in the Global Settings panel.

  • Installing Flash Player v11 under Windows 64-bit with several web browsers...

    Hello!

I see that there are 32-bit and 64-bit installers. http://get.Adobe.com/flashplayer/ said that I use 32-bit Windows on my machine of HPE W7 64 bit updated in the web browser of Mozilla SeaMonkey v2.0.14. In IE8 32 bit, it detects my Windows 64-bit. So I decided to try only run 64-bit ActiveX and Plugins installers. Both IE8 32-bit and 64-bit and 32-bit Mozilla SeaMonkey show Flash v11. Does that mean it's done and OK and I need to run the installation programs 32 bit (I had to do all four of thought)?

Also, is it normal for the control panel to display the icon of 32-bit Flash player? Where is 64-bit? List of "programs and features" (Add/Remove Programs) shows 64-bit.

    Thank you in advance.

the Panel of control heart native is also part of the 64-bit installation process, it is be a 32-bit application.  in total, following which are installed as part of the 64-bit Installer:

    64-bit Plugin/ActiveX

    32-bit Plugin/ActiveX

  • Flash player not working not not in some places.

I have several problems with flash related applications. Videos on facebook will not play after that that they load I get an error saying; "the video you requested could not be loaded." However, youtube works as usual, and when I go to the flash download page, it says I have the latest version, and the logo flash works perfectly.

I tried a lot of different internet browsers but the same things always happen.

PS: I also noticed that there is no sound in chicken, I can play songs, but not to hear them. I don't know if this is related to the other problem, but I believe because wimp is an adobe air application...

    OS: Windows 7, 32 bit.

    Help, please...

    Help chrome btw.

I closed my Facebook a/c some time ago, so I can't access the supposed solution that I found today using Google. But maybe you can check it out: challenge for "the video you requested could not be loaded". It's at the top of the page.

There is also a suggestion immediately under that one to disable MP4 in the 'IDM '. I guess that means "Internet Download Manager".

  • Latest flash player installation fails in IE8/Win XP

I tried to install the latest version of Flash Player on my XP system for two days. Here is my system info:

Win = 32-bit Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3

Browser = Internet Explorer Version 8.0.6001.18702

Flash Player - one I used (recent but not a beta) has been uninstalled when I tried to install your latest version on your site in the usual way. After a few attempts to install, I downloaded and executed the Player uninstall program according to the instructions found on your site - Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1 software installation/uninstallation r53 - just to make sure I was doing a clean install. I also downloaded the latest version and it ran manually.

All attempts to install failed. I saw two different installers, BTW, and all two reported a failure but a reason and suggested to your troubleshooting page.

I went to the troubleshooting page, where I've tried everything, by the book.

More recent attempts produced the following message appears when you try to install on your site:

"The version of adobe flash player ActiveX that you are trying to install is not the most recent version. Please visit http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer_fr for the latest and most secure version. »

I went to this page, again without success. There is no Flash x components listed in my active browser objects.

I managed to install the latest version of the Shockwave Player (I tried, just to see if that would fail, but who succeeded).

I must add that I work from web using Flash 8, so it's also on my system, but I've ever run into a problem installing a newer Flash Player up to now. (And I've been using Flash since before Macromedia, when it was called FutureSplash.)

    Obviously, HELP!

It almost made me. Countless installs / uninstalls, Poirier, etc later, I finally found a solution that worked for me:

    http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/494/cpsid_49419.html

I hope this works for you, too!

A damaged Windows system registry or incorrect registry permissions settings may prevent you from installing Flash Player.

    Symptoms may include:

    • During installation, you see the error message "unable to install. For troubleshooting, please see: http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_19166. »
    • Your installation of Flash Player completes without error, but you cannot view Flash content in Internet Explorer.
    • Some sites tell you that you don't have the correct version of Flash Player, even if you have installed the latest version.
    • Some sites tell you to reinstall Flash Player, but after you do, you see the same message.

Permissions can be tricky, but in most cases, you can install and use Adobe Flash Player, if you are connected to a Windows administrator account. If you are unsure how to proceed, consult your system administrator or read the Windows documentation.

    System administrators

If you are a system administrator, see permissions for registry required to install Flash Player or update (TechNote tn_19148).

    Solution

Warning! By following the instructions below, you will modify the Windows system registry. A mistake could cause serious damage to the system, which may require you to reinstall your operating system.

If you are not comfortable editing the registry, get help from your system administrator or other COMPUTER professional.

If you choose to proceed, first back up your entire hard drive, and create a Windows System Restore Point.

Adobe Systems cannot be held responsible for any damages resulting from your following these instructions.

    1. Make sure that you are connected to a Windows administrator account. If you're not, you will not be able to use SubInACL.
    2. Download SubInACL from Microsoft Download Center.
    3. Follow the installation instructions. Make sure you only install SubInACL (subinacl.exe) to the directory C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools.
    4. Download the reset_fp10.zip file.
    5. Open the fp10.zip file and extract the reset_fp10.cmd file to the directory C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\. Note that this file and SubInACL (subinacl.exe) must be in this directory.
    6. Double-click reset_fp10.cmd. A command window will open and SubInACL will run.
    7. Do not use the machine while SubInACL is running.
    8. After SubInACL is completed, you will see a prompt "Press any key to continue".
    9. Install Flash Player on the Flash Player download page.
    10. To verify that your installation was successful, see the about Flash Player page. At the top of the screen, you should see a message that says "Adobe Flash Player successfully installed."

  • Flash Player / your Installer is broken and has been for awhile

Regarding the Flash Player on Mac OSx Installer: I uninstalled the old version and verified that it is uninstalled.  I updated all the software on my computer and then installed the latest version of Shockwave.  I rebooted and close all other programs.  Yet, the installer is blocked to download 25%.  On several occasions.  Based on research, it was a problem with your installer for about a year.  Beyond of the imagination is your dev team has not rectified this.  A fix should have been released in one day.
