Flash Player ' scam? Popup of Angelfire server on Mac

Unlike surf some websites hosted on the server 'Angelfire', someone has the last numbers to get annoyed at popup windows.  Every time when I visit a several sites hosted on Angelfire Server (http://www.angelfire.lycos.com), I keep getting too bored popups asking me to install the latest Flash Player (see screenshot below).

Anyone of you can try to visit a couple of the sites hosted on Angelfire server example and see if you get similar popups like this snapshot above?

http://www.angelfire.com/MT/FlyTech/area51.html

http://www.angelfire.com/TV/squad51/fanfics2.html

Please let me know.  I think that this popup annoyed in the snapshot could be a scam, so that's why I keep the closing down and do want to install in my Macbook Pro.  Take a look at my latest version of Adobe Flash Player.

All the tips are greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

If popups are a scam or not, having a version update of Flash of common sense. He represented s = allowing you to run animations and online videos.

  • Installation of Flash Player 12 on Windows Server 2008 R2 X 64 with IE 8

I have an application that runs on Windows Server 2008 R2 X 64 that requires Flash Player 12. When I try to install Flash Player 12 it says that Windows Server R2 X 64 is not supported by way of elimination of the list of the supported operating systems. When I do a search I can find a lot of people indicating that they executed him or explain "hacks" to make it work. Given that the app requires there is an implimcation that it must be running on this OS. What is the official word on this?  It is a production server, and I really don't want a 'unsupported hack' running in this environment. Is there a way to support for Flash Player 12 run on Windows Server 2008 R2 X 64 with IE8, even if it's in the 32-bit version of the browser?

Server 2008 (x 86) is supported, and I got a x 64 machine set up last month who had installed FP12 and running in IE and Firefox. 64-bit IE wouldn't execute it for a reason but made the 32-bit. He installed in C/Windows/System32/C:\windows\system32\macromed/Flash and C/Windows/SysWOW64/C:\windows\system32\macromed/Flash, but I was unable to get the ActiveX plugin to allow outside 32 bit IE.

I also put in place a 2012 server machine that the x 64 ActiveX support, but this is probably not an option for you.

Like you, I'd be suspicious of the "hacks" so he could work as a pkug-in 64 x, because it can have unexpected and undesirable consequences in other areas.

  • Could you please let me know if Flash Player will inform a user that its system requirements are not enough when you try to use a version of Flash Player?

    Hello

Could you please let me know if Flash Player will inform a user that its system requirements are not enough when you try to use a version of Flash Player?

    Concerning

    It depends, but generally, no..

Guidelines for the minimum system requirements are especially on what we and won't fix the bugs for.  Flash Player probably works on Windows Server 2000 and we will not intentionally break it or prevent you from installing, but we will also not fix it if it breaks.  In cases where it will crash on launch or some other out-of-box horrible experience, like trying to install on a Mac PowerPC, then we will prevent pure and simple installation.

  • BrowserLab provides stable version previous Flash Player?

Basically, I need to see how our pages, which include Flash widgets and should be accessible, is shaping up in Flash Player 7 and 8 and sometimes even in version 6. Is this possible? I thought that browsercam.com might do, but apprently not, I think I can install Macromedia Flash Player to archives on a server without Flash, mobile... but if not, I need a solution to test how older versions of Flash handle our stuff.

    Cheers.

The answer is no, this is currently not possible using BrowserLab, and frankly, unless this is not likely to be something that we we Landa in the near future, we see a lot of requests.

There are a few reasons why:

    • Content Flash is usually on the animations based on frames. BrowserLab takes static screen captures, so to show how works your Flash content, it will take either a number of shots of your page, or even a video. These two would be fairly resource intensive and costly for us
    • BrowserLab is currently supported 15 browser/operating system combinations. To support same 2 old versions of Flash in combination with the browsers/OS would multiply our needs of material far too

  • Adobe Flash player is really necessary

I heard that Flash player is no longer necessary on a mac. I'm curious to know if this is true?

Well I use HTML5 for Youtube movies and Microsoft Silverlight so I can watch TV on my Mini. But otherwise no Flashy don't things here. Plug-in is installed, but I guess it only gets used for adds that cannot be blocked. Like watching a video of an item on a news site where they force you to look at the 20/30 second to add before you get to watch the news.

  • Flash Player Mac Mini overheating

Flash player is constantly conflicted now on my Mac Mini and causing overheating.

If you hear your fan spins at high speed to check the CPU usage percentage using the Monitor Utility application.

I see red now quite often in the utility monitor indicating 100% CPU usage and "not responding".

It comes with Safari 9.0.1 and OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite.

It does not help that Flash Player is higher version.

I really don't want to burn my Mac Mini so I advanced and uninstalled flash player.

Google Chrome has flash player as a built-in plugin, so you have to go on: URL plugins and disable the builtin version.

Most of the newer sites using HTML5 now and does not blink so there must be minimal inconvenience.

Depending on what you are using / Flash display peut be very resource hungry. My laptop fan ramp sometimes when I'm on a Flash site, but I didn't know the CPU usage up to 100%. What place (s) you visit when you see this?

While the thermal pressure is not good for a computer, the heat is a natural by product of the processor and the fan running is not a warning of impending disaster, it means that the hardware and software do their work - keep the computer within safe limits. If the computer has reached a potentially dangerous temperature computer turns off automatically itself.

I can't install the latest Flash Player on my MacBook (early 2008) running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.  I have download the installation program, click on it and the Adobe Flash Player installer window appears but hangs on "retrieve install...". 0% "after 5 minutes"error was encountered. • FLASH PLAYER 11 WORKS DO NOT?

I've been posting the photos on eBay for a long period - all of a sudden their site tells me that I don't have a version of flash player up tp to allow me to do. However I double checked and uninstalled and

re-installed and still, I get the same message.

I'm doing something wrong? What Miss me?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

You have disabled JavaScript or blocker complementary modules?  If you have IE9, check the FAQ (click on Adobe Community > Flash Player at the top of this page) for information about how to disable ActiveX filtering.

Some basic information about your configuration would be useful.  This is my generic answer, but should give you an idea to see if it is just Ebay or and contribute to guide us forward for help that you are troubleshooting.

    Basic troubleshooting information

To help out we will need the following system information:

    -Operating system

    -Browser

    -Flash Player version - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html

The first step is to work through the troubleshooting guide video for your operating system, here:

    -Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html

    -Mac - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.htm

When reporting problems with video or audio, it is also helpful get your system hardware and driver details.  To find this information can be found here:

    -Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_For_Windows_users

    -Mac - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_For_Mac_OS_users

Finally, sometimes video and audio problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player.  I recommend that you try the links below to see how they play.  If the problem exists with both, then Flash Player is most likely not the culprit because the HTML5 video link doesn't use Flash Player during playback.  You can check this by clicking on the HTML5 video and look for the words "On HTML5" at the bottom of the menu.

    -HTML5 video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTl3U6aSd2w&html5=True

    -Non-HTML5 video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTl3U6aSd2w
