Flash Player - Ubuntu 8.04 64-bit

-Orignial question-
Hello. I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 (64-bit version) and have been unable to install Flash Player automatically proposed by the download thing. I think that the version was ment for the ordinary linux not the 64 bit OS. Is there an alternative?
Oh also I use Mozilla for a browser.

-Solution-
Installation "icedtea-gcjwebplugin" and the "Flashplugin-nonfree" via the synaptic package manager solves this problem.

    Hello

While 64-bit Vista is not listed on there, the latest version of Flash Player, 18.0.0.160, will always install on it.

What does "does not average"?  It installs correctly, but the Flash content is not displayed?  Using the browser Internet Explorer 32-bit or 64-bit?

  • Installing Flash Player v11 under Windows 64-bit with several web browsers...

    Hello!

I see that there are 32-bit and 64-bit installers. http://get.Adobe.com/flashplayer/ said that I use 32-bit Windows on my machine of HPE W7 64 bit updated in the web browser of Mozilla SeaMonkey v2.0.14. In IE8 32 bit, it detects my Windows 64-bit. So I decided to try only run 64-bit ActiveX and Plugins installers. Both IE8 32-bit and 64-bit and 32-bit Mozilla SeaMonkey show Flash v11. Does that mean it's done and OK and I need to run the installation programs 32 bit (I had to do all four of thought)?

Also, is it normal for the control panel to display the icon of 32-bit Flash player? Where is 64-bit? List of "programs and features" (Add/Remove Programs) shows 64-bit.

    Thank you in advance.

the Panel of control heart native is also part of the 64-bit installation process, it is be a 32-bit application.  in total, following which are installed as part of the 64-bit Installer:

    64-bit Plugin/ActiveX

Flash in Internet Explorer 64-bit is not Possible yet

If you use Windows 7 64-bit, you can use Flash with Internet Explorer, but you must use the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer - in the use of the start 'Internet Explorer' Menu and not the one named "Internet Explorer (64-bit).

In the future Adobe will support 64-bit for Flash on Windows, but for now, you must use the regular 32-bit version of Internet Explorer.

Cannot download Adobe Flash Player om my computer with Windows 7 64 bit. Can someone help me with this problem?

Even if you are a 64-bit machine 8 default IE should be 32-bit version.  This is the version that runs on 64-bit computers by default.  If you use this version, then the problems will disappear.  As previously reported Adobe are still working on a version of Flash for 64 - bit.

Adobe Flash Player does not work with the 64 bit version of Internet Explorer 8, please use the 32-bit version. Click Start > all programs > Internet Explorer (one who is not listed as 64-bit).

  • Once again... Cannot install Flash Player on Win 7: 64-Bit

Read the tutorial after tutorial. Can't seem to get this right. Downloaded... new flash player it downloads ok... but when it installs it stops and I said DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION and stops. I tried to delete the file SYS WINDOWS as mentioned (FLASH FILES) in windows32 and WOW... but it says I can't delete? I tried again and it says that it is used with another program. When I open the Task Manager, I can't find which program is using flash. I ran the uninstaller flash as mentioned on the site... and have the same problem. Was trying to clean install... no luck. I'm a bit slow on some computers, but you seem to be difficult to get this on my computer...

    Windows 7 Premium / 64 bit / IExpolorer.

If you have an administrative account and applications that could keep Flash Player (Internet Explorer and service applications that could integrate an instance of Internet Explorer that uses the Flash), then you get the permission issues, because the registry entries or permissions of the file system is corrupted.

I would like to start by confirming that the file system is in good condition and repair any problems:

Check your hard drive to find errors in Windows 7

Then I would try running it uninstaller, restart, and then running the installation program.

You can also consider boot mode safe for this process to make sure that none of what now is Flash in use is to load at startup:

  • Is there a version of Flash Player that runs on 64 bit of Vista computers?

Fundamentally, it is the question.  It worked and then there was a message to upgrade and I upgraded and now I had to uninstall flash player and have nothing to use.  There will be a version for Vista 64-bit operating systems?  Many Web sites use Flash Player for all of their clips.  There is another player who could work?

Currently using Internet Explorer 9, but I'm perfectly willing to go back Mozilla Firefox if this will help.

    Why did you uninstall?

In any case, Setup 64-bit http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550 should work well on Vista x 64.

  • Used to install Flash Player on Windows 7 64-bit

I have install Flash and it says installation complete, but it is not iincluded n my list of programs.

When I try to view someything who use it I get a message saying that I need Flash

    Any ideas?

Hi, you must use the Adobe uninstaller that you can download to your desktop:

    http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/141/tn_14157.html

Then download the Flash Player for Internet Explorer installation program on your desktop:

    http://fpdownload.Macromedia.com/Get/flashplayer/Current/Install_flash_player_ax.exe

You must use the 32-bit browser which is the default value. To be sure, go to help and click on about Internet Explorer, x 86 should be listed and you are using the 32-bit browser.

You must also run as administrator.

After that you have on your desktop, close all browsers, disable any messenger or other applications that use Flash

    (Check the system tray)

Launch the uninstaller. When you are done, Reboot (restart) your computer. When fully charged, Reboot again (to make sure that all the old Flash files are deleted.

Then run the installation program and once finished, reboot once.

    Test your installation here:http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html

If you have any questions, post just before or after.

    Thank you

In addition, you need the 32-bit of Internet Explorer version - Flash Player will not work on the 64-bit version.
