  The film seems to work fine in Internet Explorer, but not in Firefox or Google Chrome.

  If you have CS4, it should generate disguising code, so when you publish the swf file, also have publish a html file and use (copy / paste) the code it creates in plkace of what you have now.  There is a chance that it will be a file external javascript to be included in the files that you download or create the head section of the html Flash file will be loaded with the js code you will need to also copy on your page.

  If you scroll down you can see the last video, there is all the information like title and performers, but the video does not at all!

  I have the flv file, I imported in flash and used a flash player template then published swf files and html. The swf file is read normally locally, but after downloading ALL files (flv, fla, swf, html and swf player file), there is still no video site! I also tried to preview the swf file in the file manager on my webhost, and nothing happens. I get a blank page.

  It is mind boggling! Any help?

  Are you talking about the video for Kalindadri now?  This is totally when I watch it.

  Have you tried to clear the cache of your browser?

• SWF playing in the HTML but embedded video is not

  I have several short clips (.flv format) that I need to include in the SWF files that I can put in HTML pages.  For unrelated reasons, I first used Flash 8 and will run on our server to test with no problems.  I thought I was free on this House project!  But when I copied the contents of our QA server for test users, videos stopped playing.  Or to be more precise, the SWF played very well - original content (photos and audio embedded .wav) started playing, but when the timeline reaches the keyframe flvplayback, nothing is played.  At the end of these swf files are final photos and another audio file embedded .wav who played very well if you waited until the SWF hit these keyframes.

  So, I tried the following:

  1. create the SWF directly on the server QA, thinking that maybe I forgot something.  Same result.

  2. create the SWF using Flash Pro... mixed results

  • Creating fine. I go to control - test animation - in the browser and the video plays perfectly.  Note, that it plays by using the URL of the drive mapped instead of a web address.
  • Change the URL of the drive mapped to the URL of the html test content is created shows the same results as Flash 8 in this environment - the video itself plays (I have the display of text that changes at the appropriate intervals chronology) but the video itself does not play.
  • Import the video into html files from Dreamweaver CS6 I need finally to do, did not help either - same result - swf seems to play, but not video.

  I just can't understand why the first videos, created using Flash 8 and on the test server, no longer work when they are copied to the QA server.  There are script files that maybe I'm missing?  Videos are NOT embedded in the SWF file due to problems of synchronization with the video and audio components, but rather I was selection to disseminate their.  They are located in the same folder as the SWF itself.  Is there a setting from one system to the other needs to be changed?  Or something that I need to adjust to get the web URL to play against the address of the file?

  I use either 11 and what solution I come with MUST use either as this must play on specific systems and I can not change the browser (company policy).

• Flash integrated into Facebook videos do not appear when played

  My computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, Internet Explorer 11 and Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145. I have Microsoft Security Essentials and a copy on Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to protect me against viruses and malware, and my IT Department confirms that there is no malware infection plays a role here.

  However, I feel something weird and very frustrating reading all Adobe Flash videos that are embedded inside Facebook.com, including those that are shared from YouTube. Opening of the same YouTube video on YouTube.com does not produce the same behavior - videos YouTube ALWAYS play well on YouTube.com (whether embedded or full-screen), but NEVER play fine when they are integrated within a Facebook post.

  NOTE: The same videos work EXACTLY as PLANNED for Firefox and Google Chrome, so this seems to be a problem specific to IE. It started at the time where I was running IE10 and continued to IE11 wire.

  Here is what is happening in the two Internet Explorer 10 and 11:

  1. In my Facebook News feed, I search for a video I want to watch. Before pressing Play, I still see a shot of the video with the play icon transposed on the top of the image.
  2. I click on the play icon to play the video in embedded mode of Facebook (where I can see the other news messages above and below the video).
  3. The image disappears and turns white (no borders, just white). Along the bottom edge of the video is a bar containing the play/pause, volume, maximize buttons etc. Behind these buttons, I can see a view faded still - moving on the lower edge of the video, but the rest of the video area is completely white.
  4. I hear audio that plays, even if I can't see one frame other than the lower edge, that I have just described.
  5. If I click the maximize button on the lower right part of the video, the clip opens to fill the screen and all of a sudden, the video image appears and runs as expected.
  6. If I press ESC to exit the view to enlarge it, returns to the screen (with the video back to the context of RSS) Facebook integrated, but the image turns white again just as in step 3, with audio that plays again as in step 4.
  7. Make a right-click on the offending video brings up a menu drop-down indicating that the video is to use Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145.

  Other videos shared on Facebook, like those of vimeo.com, play without any problem in the Facebook.com even news from view, regardless of whether they are built-in or mode full screen. Only the videos using Adobe Flash Player seem to be affected here.

  I tried the following:

  • Uninstalled Adobe Flash Player. Reset. Open Facebook.com, you can find the video in the news feed, which indicates that the Adobe Flash must be installed. Click on the link provided and install Adobe Flash on adobe.com. Return to the video in my RSS on facebook.com and click play. Same behavior such as described above - no change.
  • Addition of facebook.com and youtube.com to my list of Trusted Sites. No change.
  • Addition of facebook.com and youtube.com to view Internet Explorer compatibility, you exit all instances of the browser, has reopened. No change.
  • Checked for unusual browser - nothing found extensions.
  • Cleared web cache, deleted cookies, resets the browsers to default and no advanced - settings default settings unchanged
  • Updates of Windows - all upgrades are underway.
  • Ran full scans with Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials. No malware or the problems detected. No problem found with roguekiller, adwcleaner and other related malware either tools.

  Any suggestions for me here? I really just click Play to see the video, as anyone can. FYI, all the other computers (Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8) on my network play these same videos and IE9, IE10, IE11 without the problems I am having with this one. Of course, I'd appreciate any help you can offer!

  This not the time.  It is not ideal, but you have two options to work, which is better than nothing.

  In all likelihood, content providers will have to change the code to meet IE11 and superior.  I spent a lot of time this week examine some technical tips that we put together for the developers, but the long and less, is that IE wants developers to stop writing the code that handles the IE differently from other browsers.

  IE has a history of not working exactly as the other browsers, and for a variety of reasons (including how JavaScript and Flash communicate with each other), the developers as normal practice wrote a lot of code to deal specifically with these quirks in Internet Explorer.

  Out of this impossible situation where they want the markup to be the same for all browsers, but having all this code specifically targeted on the IE due the long legacy to be problematic for web developers, IE masquerades as something else and disables features such as conditional comments that target IE code.

  The net result is that a lot of things is broken in IE11.  We work closely with Microsoft to be good partners and to help in this transition with some technical modifications on our end, but developers will have to change their code and/or update the underlying libraries everywhere on the web.  This will not happen from one day to the next.  Large suppliers of content with more resources will likely exceed the speed of small sites with less developers, but it will be months or years before it shakes.

  I created a SWF to create first a flv from an avi file, and then publish the swf file in flash. I have inserted in an html page and can see the preview video. However, when I load the page and all assets on the site, I get nothing.

  I tried to view the swf file directly, and it does not play. Maybe it's a problem with how I converted the avi file or how I published the swf file. I start in this forum, just in case.

  Thank you very much!   At your suggestion, I've selected out, burn to disc, DVD.  A window shows requiring Save have *.wmv.  OK, reluctantly saves.  Automatically opens first.  Preview has no audio.

  Instead of burning to disc, I chose Edit in first.  The preview has the video and audio.  Engraving option asked under wmv.  BUT by selecting the tab burn, then disc, dvd, part took place smoothly and dvd resulting contains actually the audio and the video.  Yes!

  She should not be incompatible and hard, but I could never have succeeded without help.

• Dreamweaver working in preview, but not online turnover

  I often use swap image for bearings. After making a few changes on my site to friends, I noticed that all the bearings has stopped working. I tried in all browsers, I tried to restore a file of time machine, I tried with a bunch of different images.

  So, I tried a very simple white page with a single image on it and the "Swap image" behavior applied. It displays both in preview and not online (Dreamweaver CS5.5)

  Your file is corrupted.  All line breaks have been stripped clean to the application of your code.  Scripts cannot work this way.

  Try to use another like Filezilla FTP client to upload your pages.

  Also check the type of line break in your preferences.  See screenshot.

The aspx files are located on the Web server, when im test the swf file local (on my computer) variables are send and store in SQL. When im upload the SWF + html file on Web server (not on the same server when the aspx files) is not working. any idea? by the way, I am trying me to upload the swf file to the same Web server where the aspx file and its work! When the file swf on a server and the aspx on another server its does not work...

  These are 404 errors: with this swf that you are trying to access the aspx of the even area files and that they do not exist on this area in the current audit location.

  You can probably use the SharedObject (aka Flash cookies) to store the memory of the banner play and have the banner for this control.  Here is a link to a tutorial which may help...

  I have a .gif with transparent index image, presenting itself as I expect (i.e. with correct transparency) when embedded in a web page. However, transparency does NOT appear in my Flash swf file. In ActionScript, I use the loader to load the image, and the Bitmapdata coming out has the transparent property to true (I can see it in the debugger). However, does not have transparency.   I realized what I was doing wrong. I was not calling
  new BitmapData
  with the transparency setting and fillColor parameters. Sorry to take up on the plateau with something that should have been obvious.

  If you open a link SWF directly in a browser tab, you always get the size of this tab. You must either open the link in a new window and resize it or use the bookmarklet mentioned above allows to code with a keyword and the url because the setting to replace the % S.
