Flash video playback is very late

In recent weeks, I had difficulties to play Flash on YouTube videos, etc in Firefox. That they often freeze on the first frame of the video, while the audio still plays. Sometimes, the video begin to play normally, but then freezes. I deleted the cache and I have the latest version of Flash. I don't have this problem in Chrome or Safari, Firefox just.

Thanks for your help!

  • Delay in presentation of flash video playback

    Dear Cisco professionals,

    We have the question on our implementation of DMS for our client. We are currently developing a signage based on the presentation.

    This presentation have a playlist that is composed of an asset of flash and video.

    The problem is that if the video swing to active flash during playback, we see a delay on the screen for about 3 seconds. During this period, the just section white playlist.

    We are to suspect that the delay is becaused of the size of the flash (400 KB) file. However after that we tried to set up a small flash of text running (40 KB), it is still delayed?

    We already enable the cache on the DMP, disable syslog, and disable failover video but the problem still exists

    Any other suggestions for this?

    Thanks before

    Imad

    Hi Imad,

    If you use a recent version of DMS (5.2.x), there is an option to set the preload content in order to avoid the playlist is empty during the time it takes to load the image/flash animation.

    In 5.2.1/5.2.2, you have the option to set the time "preload" for an asset directly on the configuration of the list of reading in digital media designer.

    You can try to set a duration of 5 seconds for the flash preload file and see if it loads faster after that?

    Kind regards

  • Is it possible to download a flash video and watch it later, in offline mode?

    I live in an RV and use different internet wi - fi connections in parking areas, different speeds and bandwidths.  It is often impossible to watch videos online, because of disconnections and frequent breaks.  With most of the file formats I can download them in the background and watch the video later without using an internet connection.

    Is it possible to do this with files flash video?  How?

    Thank you

    John

    Well, the answer is that you cannot download all Flash video and watch offline.  If the content provider is to make a .flv video available via HTTP, it is pretty easy.  If they use the most advanced available via video features premium Flash video distribution features (Platform TV Everywhere |) Adobe Primetime ), then probably not.

    If you feel that your subscription with this particular content provider gives you right to copies of their videos offline, I suggest having this conversation with their tech support people.  There are simply too many possible ways to stream video within the Flash ecosystem to give you definitive answers without inside knowledge of how that content provider designed their video distribution systems.

  • First elements 10 video playback is very bad and rough

    When I look at my Prime Minister mts files to 10 items, the video is really bad. But when I watch the same videos with windows media player, that they look very well. Any idea on how I can get my videos to look good in first elements? I have a new high-end computer.

    You must use Premiere Elements to get the support of your camcorder to your computer, Don - not the software that came with your camera and certainly not Windows MovieMaker. You want to keep the video in its "native" format, and Premiere Elements will do.

    Just follow my instructions above and you'll be fine.

    Regarding the video, you have already captured as WMVs, it is possible, you can still use them in Premiere Elements - but you are going to have performance issues you encounter. Then you can actually be wise to carry out this project in Windows MovieMaker, the only product that is perfect for use WMVs as your edition files.

  • Choppy video playback in Windows Media Center (Windows 7) WTV

    I recently experienced a video playback jerky with windows media center.  Sometimes the recorded TV (WTV format) play very well for about 2-3 minutes until the video playback is very jerky (probably about 5 to 10 frames per second instead of the usual 30-60 fps).  The audio is not again normally.  Windows Movie maker also plays choppy video (Windows Media Player seems to work very well).  The main menu of Windows Media Center, itself becomes generally restless slow when I'm scrolling autour options, even when there is no video game in the background.  Video streaming on the Internet and DVD seems to play fine on Windows Media Center, and I can even stream HD video without problem.  I also know that this isn't a problem receiving the TV tuner since I test with the video recorded previously.  I bought my computer in June 2009 with Windows Vista and upgrade to Windows 7 a few months later.  Everything worked perfectly well until recently.

    I tried to update my video card drivers, reallocation of Windows Media Center to a task of "high priority" to improve performance, the RAM Cache to improve the performance, my graphics card setting to low quality setting to have superior performance to compensation.  I even tried to reinstall Windows Media Center, reinstall Windows Media Player and the restoration of my entire computer to a State a few months in the past where the problem was not intervened.  The memory usage seems OK too (I have 6 GB).  Basically, I don't think that the issue is performance related.  I'm guessing that there is some little conflict, pilot program, codec, etc., which is originally the video playback to go bad after a few minutes.  Any thoughts?

  • Flash crashing and video playback/Streaming problems

    Recently did a reinstall of Windows 7 and have experienced problems with Flash and video playback in general. Questions may or may not be related. I have not detected problems with the opera and so I think that these are problems of Firefox. 3 major video sites that I use are (HTML 5 player) YouTube, twitch.tvand Crunchyroll.

    (1) flash very quickly and systematically accidents

       * Specifically noted when viewing streams on twitch.tv
       * Often crashes within a minute, almost certainly within a few minutes
       * Crash logs provided below

    (2) reading crashes

       * Occurs on all 3 sites
       * On twitch, stream freezes (but Flash does not crash). On YouTube, loading circle comes up and video freezes
       * If this occurs on twitch, Flash less likely to officially crash

    (3) volume cuts

       * Occurs on all 3 sites
       * If this occurs on twitch, Flash may still crash after
       * I've had volume issues with my system in general, with volume occasionally cutting in gaming programs, such as League of Legends and Hearthstone. That being said, I do not experience this issue with Opera and this only occurs on video playback in Firefox.

    Hello

    This can help you:

    Download and run the Flash Player Uninstaller, as Flash can get damaged.

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/uninstall-Flash-Player-Windows.html

    Then download and install Flash Player; After unchecking installing Chrome and Google toolbar option:

  • Video playback very slow failure with iGPU and dGPU activated simultaneously

    Until a few months ago, my PC has been run with an i5 760 and my current Radeon HD 7850 on items 11-first reading was smooth and I could edit my videos fine.

    However, recently I installed a new processor and motherboard - a 4770K i7. The key thing here is that it has integrated GPU (so called "iGPU") that can operate in tandem with my current dGPU (discrete GPU, the HD 7850) by the presence of jobs such as the rendering of encoding videos and sent to the iGPU in a function called Quick Sync transcode. In order to use this, I had to link a virtual/VGA monitor to my motherboard port (because according to this post by vaesauce on the forums of the OBS), and for all applications that worked perfectly (Handbrake transcode very quickly, and I can listen to with OBS with negligible performance). Except one - first elements 11.

    When I started first elements 11 to edit a short clip yesterday, I was greeted with a screen that informed me that I had incompatible drivers. I went and checked my video drivers for both of my GPU - to both day - the reinstalled and restarted. Tried once more, the same question. Past to try and change just resulted in a complete failure of video playback and audio playback. I found the solution was to disable my iGPU in Device Manager, then it works fine.

    Now, here's my question - how can I have the dGPU and the iGPU active and able to edit videos with Premiere elements 11? It all works in this way, the constant entry in the Device Manager before and after the installation of a video is very annoying (also, I'm sure PrEl 11 would benefit itself from the QuickSync!)

    > found the solution was to disable my iGPU in Device Manager, then it works fine

    As far as I know, it's the only solution, because Premiere Elements is not really designed for double graphics cards

  • Very basic question: Flash Media Server vs embedding flash video

    I hope it's a quick easy question to answer:

    What is the difference between Flash Media Server or simply using a freeware Flash media player (like Flowplayer http://flowplayer.org/) that uses XML playlists to embed your Flash videos on a Web site?

    What are the benefits of Flash Media Server and how something like Flowplayer not issues that the FMS can?

    Thanks in advance!

    Erik

    In a word flowplayer offers the video through your web browser. It does so via the HTTP (port 80) and on any web server progressive download

    Progressive download concludes the video on the server and played through the player it is being downloaded. 2 important things to take this are 1, the video is downloaded to clients, at the end of reading's hard drive, they will have a copy of your video that they can do what they want and repost it somewhere else. 2, it plays as it downloads, which means that if I see a video of 10 minutes on your site and want to skip to the middle or the end I have to wait for the entire video to download before viewing these segments. Your host, incidentally you will love for progressive download because it will appear as if your transfer rates went through the roof. Once demand for the video made it has not returned back, the customer gets all if they watch it or not.

    Flash media server using rtmp Protocol. This Protocol is an open protocol socket through port 1935. Essentially, it's a two way street. When the user views a video using FMS get basically just enough video to keep the connection open and satisfy the buffer necessary to ensure a clean reading. Bytes of info that carry the video go only to the memory of the users, not the hard drive. This allows the user to come and go around the film without having to wait for all to download.

    Hope that helps.

  • Need advice to make a simple Flash video file. Trying to accomplish two things.

    I have some video files (.avi) that I'm trying to convert a Flash video format. I'm trying to export it to a Flash drive to be in a Powerpoint file. With that, I'm trying to accomplish two objectives:

    1. to have the small clip (15 s, 30 fps) constantly loop, like an animated .gif.

    2. allow the user to click on the video and made player slide left/right for ff / rew.

    The video itself is an animation of the turntable. One of our products makes a full 360 degrees turn. By allowing the user to capture and drag, it will simulate turning the model.

    So far, I have already achieved objective 1. I made a new Actionscript 3, any video file (embed flv in swf and play in timeline), and then made the video loop on the timeline. This seems to export properly, and video loop if necessary. The only thing I can't understand is how to "interactive" video and let the user drag left/right.

    For context, I have never used Flash before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Essentially, it comes down to move the playback cursor in Flash based on the movement of the mouse. It certainly won't be smooth, however, you would need a clock to be responsible for moving your head to read and reverse space compression is very intensive CPU (reverse on the timeline). I would recommend having an upstream release and in advance of the video then you could return them, but if you're new to flash you are already in way over your head.

    Add a new layer and try to add this example script (or Download Source example here, registered in CS5):

    import flash.utils.Timer;

    import flash.events.TimerEvent;

    import flash.events.MouseEvent;

    Make sure that we don't raise this image twice

    If (! stage.hasEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN))

    {

    stop the playhead

    Stop();

    set state (forward? back?)

    var movingForward:Boolean = true;

    var curFrame:int = 1;

    var mouseStartX:int; used later to determine the drag

    detect the click of the mouse and drag to the left or right

    stage.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, onMouseF);

    stage.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onMouseF);

    create new timer to control the playback head, start it

    var phTimer:Timer = new Timer (33.0).

    phTimer.addEventListener (TimerEvent.TIMER, movePlayheadF);

    phTimer.start ();

    function to control the playback head

    function movePlayheadF(e:TimerEvent):void

    {

    curFrame += movingForward? 1:-1;

    validate the frame (60 total frames)

    If (curFrame > this.totalFrames) curFrame = 2;

    ElseIf (curFrame< 1)="" curframe="">

    Goto the next image

    this.gotoAndStop (curFrame);

    }

    function that controls the direction variable

    function onMouseF(e:MouseEvent):void

    {

    If (e.type is MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN)

    {

    the user began place start touching, record

    mouseStartX = int (stage.mouseX);

    }

    Else if (e.type == MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP)

    {

    user let the mouse go, determine the change in direction (by scanning stype)

    If (stage.mouseX > mouseStartX)

    {

    slipped right, move forward

    movingForward = true;

    trace ("move on now '");

    }

    ElseIf (stage.mouseX<>

    {

    crept to the left, move the rear

    movingForward = false;

    trace ("back up now '");

    }

    }

    }

    }

    It's pretty simple. In the link source of the example above, an object in the timeline (nice ugly red circle) is moving right plus 60 frames and then left on 60 images (120 total). Consider that your film.

    A clock at a speed of 33ms (30 fps). It's where he won't necessarily be too smooth with video. If you wear at 60 fps, then decrease the timer of the half (16.5ms), season to taste. Whenever the timer fires the playhead is moved, either forward or backward.

    For whether she should go forward or backward a simple variable (movingForward) keeps track of the last "swipe". The shot is simply captured when a user touches the screen (mouse/finger), moves in a direction and then leaves upward. If they moved to the left the direction will be reversed. If they moved to the right, it will move forward. This does not include nor this logic, but illustrates how you can watch the mouse for movement and 'do something' on this basis.

    A very simple validatior in the event timer function checks if the next image (in both directions) is valid and if it is not the case, it fixes it so that it remains within your length of video editing.

    Note there is a MOUSE_MOVE event you can try to hold on to who can literally let the user drag the video forward and back the amount, they drag their finger/cursor. Also if it is a kind of circular surface as a disc rotates, the direction of the user moving the mouse based on where they registration would change the direction in which they expect to move. Etc etc...

    Who should get your feet wet in how you should consider for your project.

  • Flash video vote rate mouse

    My problem has to do with the flash and the rate of mouse's vote. When I try to watch the twitch.tv stream, and I move my mouse over a window by a line, the video late, as slow. I don't see well at all serious spikes in the CPU in the task Explorer. If I move my mouse in a fast way outside the window flash, everythings in order. The problem lies in the combination of firefox + flash + mouse Jolt vote rate. Let me explain:

    (1) this does not happen in chrome.
    (2) it will not occur when the window is in full screen.
    (3), it does not occur if I put my mouse voting rate to 125 instead of 1000 (razer abyssus).
    (4) last but not least, youtube seems unaffected.

    My pc is good enough (i5 last gen, 650tigtx, 8g memory), updated drivers VGA and clean malware. I'm a pc user experienced who uses to continue to use firefox, but surprisingly hard to find.

    While I was looking for this problem, and as I found out it's not just me. The flash of shaking is very bad trolling, I use the version 14.0.0.145 flash and FF30.0. This happens when the movement of mouse on the drive when it is not armored full. But this single gal's video, which is worse when you hover over the viewers/Total current views/disciples under the player - who freezes firefox everything for me for a few seconds, but only when the stream is open for a while longer, an hour or more. Put that said in passing, more flow is open more it freezes when I hover over these numbers. It's very bad, Firefox is unusable at this point on twitch.tv for me

  • Sound does not, slow/choppy video playback. Reboot to fix.

    I have a problem with my PC.  Don't know if a hardware error or system.  It is common during video playback.  Usually, he plays very well, but sometimes brutally, everything is in slow-mo with no sound. The only way to solve this is to restart the PC.  On most pages, it makes also has flash declined. Tried to stop all services and unnecessary processes, virus checks, updated windows and the latest video card drivers, card sound, etc.  Not sure how this can be fixed.  Extremely boring all playing a game and my sound dies.

    Hello
    OK, this is the driver related or heat related.
    1. set to update your video and sound drivers restart and try again.

    Look for the old drivers Device Manager and update

    Drivers can become outdated and could be damaged to the point where they slow the system performance. Looking for the old drivers Device Manager, follow these steps:

    Click Start, click Run, type the sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.

    Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

    Right click on the device, and then click Properties.

    Click the driver tab.

    Compare the version of the driver on the tab, with driver version information on the latest version of the driver that is published on the website of the manufacturer.

    To resolve problems that are caused by corrupted or outdated drivers, install the latest drivers:

    Click Start, click Run, type the sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.

    Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

    Right click on the device, and then click Properties.

    Click on the driver tab, then click on set to update driver.

    Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the update of the driver.

    2. check the power of your computer, especially near the card... check video to make sure that this video card is not loose (if it is not a card on board)

  • Flash video jumps despite the low CPU usage

    It is a problem of browser independent (in IE and FF) and apply only to the Flash Video (YouTube, for example)-it happens for example with DivX.

    Time to time the video will drop frames. Running beside the video Task Manager, I see that the CPU actually tends to fall in these moments, rather than boost. Well, it comes down to the departure at the time of the loss of images and then upwards slightly above reference for a short period. Use during playback, however, is very small, about 3-4%.

    Hello. I have a similar problem with casual framedrops while watching Youtube videos in point 8.1 of Windows. My processor is a core i5-4440 quad, and I also GMA 4600.

    I think it's a little problem with Flash player multi-threading with quad core CPU. It does not seem to happen when I go in the Manager of tasks and set the affinity for the Flash Player to use only a single core. Try it on your machine and see if it falls still frames.

  • How can I improve the quality of video playback in interactive PDF files?

    I make a PDF from InDesign CC iInteractive with a few videos included. Everything works well except the videos shakes a little compared to play in quick time. The videos are in HD_H264.mp4 format. They are very large files, playing on a new Mac Book Pro with 8gig of Ram. I tried different things to improve reading, including setting up the PDF file to read in a floating window (which slightly improve things), but I prefer their largest.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

    There's not much you can do. The Acrobat family is 32 bit and acceleration hardware 2D is no longer supported - HD video playback is a battle. With the help of a floating window, you can make sure the video is a true 1:1 scale, which helps as she stops to Flash Player having to re - sample, but that's all.
