Flat file ODI at request of planning

Hello

I'm testing the loading of meta data from a flat file to the Planning by ODI. While on the interface, when I select the staging area which is different from the target and I'm trying to select the engine table Sunopsis memory as my sleeping area, it gives me the following warning:

"The requested operation cannot succeed. The object no longer exists. There is no connection for pair/logical schema context: SUNOPSIS_MEMORY_ENGINE/HYPERION '

My name of context here is hyperion.

Go to the topology Manager. Physical architecture > expand Technologies > expand Sunopsis engine > expand SUNOPSIS_MEMORY_ENGINE
Change SUNOPSIS_MEMORY_ENGINE_Default
Context tab > add context 'Hyperion' and the logic diagram of "SUNOPSIS_MEMORY_ENGINE".

Apply all, open the designer again and create your interface, you should be able to choose without error.

    Are you sure put you the port number of the rmi in the topology Manager, it does not appear that you have
    When you set the server in the topology for the Planning Manager is servername:11333

  • How to load flat files without header to table in ODI

    I try to get data from a flat file, but it doesn't have any header

    as 1, tom, 36, usa.

    I have a table with id column, name, age, country, and I want to get the data. Please let me know how to proceed.

    If you add columns manually in the data model there is no need to reverse engineering. If you reverse engineer with header set to 0 ODI will simply give the columns arbitrary identifiers such as C1, C2, C3 etc. That you can leave or change.

  • Data period multi loading flat file to database ASO

    FDM gurus,

    We try to load Plan data for 12 months to an Essbase ASO using FDMEE database.

    We followed the documented specification stage in the format of import for amount (column = < start >, < end >) AND choosing the "multi-period Text file (contiguous period)' in the data load the rule.

    However, the Validation fails even for period dimension he complained of "value without Source for UD3".  {The UD3 in our case is be the period}

    Our record of flat file looks like in below:

    Dim1, Dim2,Dim3,Dim4Dim5,6, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

    Import mappings formats, I also see the dimension of 'period '. Could be the problem? As you know, database planning, it does not show.

    You don't have to specify which version you're on.

    When you set the size of the target Application you set period of your ASO [size target class] cube dimension as period?

    Try and that should remove it from the map area of import Format.

  • Is a database table that is required for the temporary interfaces with the data flat file source?

    People, this is the situation I ODI 11.1.1.7

    1. I have an interface temporary (yellow), called MJ_TEMP_INT, which uses data from TWO sets of data from the source in a temporary target (TEMP_TARG). Wrestling is a shot of a data set from a table while the other set of data extracted from a flat file.  A union is made on data sets.
    2. I then create another interface, called MJ_INT, which uses the MJ_TEMP_INT as the source and the target is a real database. table called "REAL_TARGET".

    Two questions:

    1. When I run my second interface (MJ_INT), I get a message "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" because it is looking for a real TEMP_TARG db table. Why I have to have one? because I am pulling a flat file?
    2. On my second interface (MJ_INT) when I look at the interface of my source MJ_TEMP_INT (yellow) property sheet, the box 'Use the temporary interface as a Derived table' is DISABLED.  Why? Is also because my temporary interface is pulling from a flat file?

    I am attaching a file that shows a screenshot of my studio ODI.

    Furthermore, IF my temporary source interface has only a single set of data by pulling from a database. Table to table in a temporary target, called MJ_TEMP2_TARG, and then when I use this temporary interface as a source to the other another real db. target table (REAL2_TARGET), THEN everything works.  ODI requires me to have a real database. Table MJ_TEMP2_TARG and the checkbox for "interface temporary use as a Derived table" is NOT DISABLED and my REAL2_TARGET table gets filled.

    You quite rightly assume the reasons that you have questions is because you try to attach a file. A file I always have to be materialized in the transit zone, as a temporary table and then have the data loaded in it.

    This error is usually related to if you do not properly apply patch ODI.

    Can you take a look at the opatch inventory, rollback FDMEE and ODI patch and then apply again.

    Make sure that these patches are applied successfully without any errors.

  • Flat file with different layouts in one file

    I am new to ODI - data integrator Oralce 11 G.

    I have a flat file where I had to load data from flat file to an oracle DB (11G).

    The flat has 5 different file updates page (data from 5 suppliers to come as a single file and each presentation are different) and each corrresponds layout to a provider of information.

    I had to load each page layout of the data in another table with a single source file (which has all the information provider).

    Please advice.

  • Loading a flat file for Linux server

    I ask that my previous question otherwise. I need to load flat files in a directory on a linux server. ODI is installed on a windows machine. I created the physical components of the architecture of FILES / logic and I test the interface with a small file. I am receiving an error message = "file not found". Questions:
    1. do I need an agent of ODI on the linux server to achieve this?
    2. in the definition of the data to the FILE Server I inclulde host / username / password and it successfully tested. Was it necessary? I only did this for my windows files.
    3 understand #2 above, when defining the physical schema, I have included the host name. Is this correct? Since it is Linux the slashes go in the other direction - Yes? [I know it's a stupid question].

    I am sure that the file exists. All recommendations are much appreciated!

    1.) Yes, you need an agent on linux to achieve this. Or create a samba share that allows you to access files on windows linux

    (2.) no it's not necessary for a base file of dataserver. These details are necessary for a DB according to technology.
    (3.) the host name is not necessary. It is governed by the location of the agent. If the agent is at the ABC's of the machine, then the host is ABC.

    In ODI, the agent is a server and ODI installed on your windows machine is just a client that connects to the server to perform the work.

    I am trying to load the data from the SQL Server table to the flat file but its errror on.

    I selected the staging of different shape area Targert (I use SQL Server as my sleeping area)
    Knowlegde modue used: IKM SQL to the file Append

    I have the following error reciee
    ODI-1217: Session table to file (124001) fails with return code 7000.
    ODI-1226: step table to file fails after 1 attempt.
    ODI-1240: flow of file fails during an operation of integration. This flow of charge table test target.
    ODI-1227: task table to file (integration) fails on the source of connection MICROSOFT_SQL_SERVER POS_XSTORE.
    Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: could not read file header lines
    to com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.file.FileResultSet. < init > (FileResultSet.java:164)

    Have you made sure that the CSV file is readable by ODI? What I usually do is to create a CSV file example target with values in it. Once you create the model, right-click and view the data.

  • Flat file of FDM

    Hi gurus,
    I load planning data to HSF using FDM. I'm working on version is 11.1.1.3. I just wanted to know if, rather than directly load data in HSF can FDM prodoce a flat file as a result of the export step, which can be used later to import lots in HSF?

    I have a similar requirement for local application of HFM producing a flat file of FDM, which will be subsequently loaded in the application of global HFM as local users have limited access to the global HFM application.

    You could use the HSF or HFM adapter and just disable the load. In the integration of each adapter settings, there is an option 'enable the load '. Unchecking it will produce the dat file but it will not load.

    1. development - we are able to move the data from flat file to target the DB using scenario1.

    The files are in 04 who's ODI installation box


    2. enforcement Repo

    to scenario1 execution repo installed in ODI 07 which is ODI installation box
    but not able to move the data from flat file to target DB.

    We get an error - file not found.

    File is located in the box 04.

    My question is that what is the best process to make scenario1 course migrated to work.

    I wanted to say that in view of the dev and prod in the Prod repository agent is not a good idea.

    Ideally, in repo Prod, you must have prod 07 agent.

    In Dev Repo, you shouldn't have dev 04 agent

    There are 2 different things: report page and dashboard.

    A report is created in the module of the responses and can be displayed in a dashboard page (in the dashboard module)
    A report can be extracted in the flat file, as I have said before and directly from answers or dashboard.

    A dashboard page contains 1 or more report and other objects (images, text...).

    You cannot export the entire page in a CSV file. Because a dashboard page has 'disposition' and potentially many different reports.

    In a flat file, you have the results (data) of 1 'table', 1 request. You can have the results of the application of several in the same CSV file (do you agree with that?). This is why the flat file will be extracted to a report, but not a page of dashboard.

Can anyone suggest how this is possible. And also how can I customize the loading of flat file in the package (my flat file has a name that has the date of days on that (0628xxx.txt for today and tomorrow 0629xxx.txt).) How can I tell odi to search for files in my parcel today and tomorrow.

    Babu,

    The default port for ftp is 21. What is your port?
    You can specify the name of the port next to the server name as in "servername.company.com:27" assuming that your ftp is running on port 27

    You use local or remote agent. It will also make a difference, because maybe remote agent cannot see this IP.
    Another point to consider is that your ftp could be a secure ftp, in this case, you need to use another tool - odiSFtpGet

    Try using the ftp commands in the command prompt Windows.

    Get the means to get the files from the FTP server.
    Put the means you want to place the files on the FTP server.
