• Problem with StyleManager in Flex Data Services Project

  OK, weird stuff here. If you make a new base and the attempt to use StyleManager (to load comiles CSS when running) it works... in other words, it works:
  
  Mx.styles import. *;
  StyleManager.loadStyleDeclarations ("styles/test_1.swf")
  
  However, try to create a simple Flex Data Services project and use the same code and for some reasons, you do not see as StyleManager method loadStyleDeclarations, but everything seems to be there! still unknown, leave within the Flex Data Services project, you can call us StyleManager.as and see clearly that loadStyleDeclarations is here. Is this a bug or am I a horrible configuration problem? I tried this on another machine with similar results. Help would be greatly appreciated, at least to confirm others see the same problem...

  OK, fixed it... you need to update of the SDS to 2.0.1 and Flex 2.0.1 update main course. Pretty obvious.

• Error creating New flex data services project

  Hello
  Error: Invalid server root. Flex - config.XML or company flex - services.xml must exist in the WEB-INF/flex folder in the root of the server.
  
  Try to create flex project with Weblogic8.1 as the server j2ee services data, but am getting the error above in the screen where I point to the root of the server.
  I deploy flex on weblogic.
  
  I'd appreciate any help.

  Hello

  The root of the server must be the parent of the WEB - INF folder. So, in your case, I think that the root server must be:

  C:\bea81SP5\user_projects\applications\dcgsaApplication\dcgsAdaptersWeb

• PL/JSON utility integration into Oracle APEX 4.0 application problem

  I want to be able to use the PL/JSON utility in my application Oracle APEX (4.0) but get several errors when I try to run the Hello World example (replace GET_VARCHAR2 by GET_STRING) of http://embosa.wordpress.com/2010/02/26/oracle-and-json-using-pljson/ in the SQL command page. I can confirm that PL/JSON works if I run the example as his own script, PL/SQL, outside Oracle APEX.
  
  My database is Oracle 10 g XE. I get the following error messages when I run the Hello World example in the page of SQL command:

  Maybe I'm too new/familiar with APEX Oracle PL/SQL, but I guess that APEX does not have the privileges to use PL/JSON. I already gave the public privileges execute on three packages (JSON_EXT, JSON_PARSER, JSON_PRINTER) and APEX_PUBLIC_USER but the error messages does not change. What Miss me?

  The problem was that the name of the destination 'codecoverage' was identical to that of one of the packages where my .java file was there. Changed this name and things started working...  :-)

  a database of existing MySQL (Bioographies of Artists) has created a form of dataservice

  When I call the functions from the tab "Data Services" of Flash Builder 4 they work flawless. (add, delete, update)

  Assume that the next object of value has been created:

  'Artists_biography '.

  I am now trying to call service through Actionscript as follows:

  var updateObject:Artists_biography = new Artists_biography();
        updateObject.biography_de = contentToSave;
        updateObject.biography_id = biography_id;
        updateObject.artists_id = artist_id;
  updateArtists_biographyResult.token = artistsbiographyService.updateArtists_biography(updateObject);
  

  I get this:

  Error: Could not find the data for the value service: valueObjects::Artists_biography

  I also tried to use the valueObject mxml like this:

  Even the created forms automatically produce this error

  Any hint why this happens?

  When the PHP sample is generated from the database, data management is enabled by default on the entity of this service (in your case, it is Artists_biography).

  In this case, the update of "Artists_biography" method only accepts managed server valueObjects.

  There are 2 options if you want to use updateArtists_biography in FormGen

  1. remove the update method in assistant management of the data. Context, click feature and click on "Enable data management" and delete the "update" method

  or

  2. use the result of the getItemById operation. Cast in a valueObject, modify and transmit as an argument to the updateArtists_biography.

  OK, I got the answer. At the express request, there is a link called body variable (: body in BLOB). but the BLOB data type. So, we have to convert that in other data, type what we in pl/sql. I've converted data type witch CLOB supports json.

• What "vsphere client lib" or "data-services - 1.0.0" jar file to use in client plugin vsphere-web

  My client plugin project vsphere web contains the two files jar "vsphere-client-lib" or "data-services - 1.0.0. These two jars has many common classes with identical or different method signatures. I used the DataException class in my code that uses the signature of the method of the vsphere client file - lib.jar.

  When I build the project, then sometimes data-services - 1.0.0 jar file gets loaded first and so, build becomes due to a lack of signature of the method.

  I need to know why there are so many classes common to these two pots?

  Can we use only single (also available in the sdk directory) jar of vsphere-client-lib pot instead of data-services - 1.0.0 jar in plugin?

  We can achieve all features using vsphere-client-lib pot instead of data-services jar file - 1.0.0.

  Simply compile your Java with client/vsphere-Java code - lib.jar.  I don't know why you use data-service - 1.0.0 (and where you found it). It is not part of the SDK and is not the doc or samples.

• Why would I need to use LiveCycle Data Services in Flex application?

  I can't understand what additional functionality is provided by using LiveCycle Data Services in my Flex applications.  I can't understand how, using LiveCycle Data Services would benefit my applications.  Anyone out there using LiveCycle Data Services?  If so, what are you doing with it in Flex?
