Flicker in flash player IE8

Hello

Hope someone can help with this.

Have a dell studio laptop computer xps with ati radeon graphics card. Windows 7 pro and IE8.

Find that with any flash (using the latest version of flash) content in the Solution Explorer and window flashes very evil.

Have updated the FlashDrive last graphic card uninsatlled several times and IE disabled / enabled.

Clues or suggestions much appreciated thanks.

Hi, you are welcome. I should have mentioned that it is recommended to update the graphics and video drivers the latest versions as well. I noticed that you updated your graphics card, but you can update the video driver as well.

Here is the link to the site that explains it:

    Problem solved!

Created a Restore Point system and boldly charged before.  Using the Safari browser, I open the Flash Player download page and installed the version of Safari.

The Flash Player Plugin for Safari installed correctly with zero negative impact on Flash Player IE8.

  • Flash Player not working not not in IE8

OK, I Googled it and found many people with the same problem. I tried all the "fixes" and nothing works. I removed IE8, uninstalled the flash player, restart the computer, reinstall the flash player, restarted cpu, reinstalled IE8, downloaded and installed the latest version of java, verified to ensure that java scripts and applets are enabled (they were), delete the temporary internet files. This all started after the upgrade to IE8. I am running XP, btw.

Hi Jon, I did some research on the VP and if you still have the trial version of Norton, I disconnect from the internet and run a full scan. You can also consult http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php and do the online scan only.

However, be sure to disable ALL Norton first, to avoid conflicts.

Let me know if you decide to allow the Norton trial version expires and go with another program. The only way to get rid

your system of Norton or any other anti-virus program before installing another is with the Norton Removal Tool.

In fact, I would say that if you renew the trial version, use the removal tool before you use the scan of Malwarebytes.

I hope that this information will be useful. Again, my goal is to uninstall and reinstall Java and Adobe. I wish I only had 1 version (if possible), ensuring that it is the most recent, when uninstalling and deleting unnecessary files or previous versions / Add-ons. Actually, just try to get the cleaned computer and make browsing the web more efficient (recently have had some difficulties to the display of web pages using these programs). I am familiar with the programs and processes as a whole, but I think that you have more intelligence and experience in detailed areas. Thanks in advance for your time and let me know if you need any other information. Thank you! B

Well I am finally getting caught up! I see in my last post, I was so anxious that I should have used spelling :-)

Thanks on the info to add/remove. I almost never go there unless I want to remove something.

If you did it all over again? LOL, well it paid that I see. This 2SSV of Java; I just keep mine disabled. Interesting on the deployment kit. I don't have FF on my system, but this last week installed Java in my Add ons. So I disabled the automatic download etc. of Java & also disabled the Toolbox. I've always seen for "other browsers". He should really keep an eye on these various programs :-)

You're right about me not knowing too much about Shockwave Player. As long as the other folder does not cause a problem, that I would just leave.

Well, happy that you have your system up to date and everything works as it should. I'm sure you understand now that it is a lot

easier to stay up to date :-)

Oh, and I had a chuckle to your "you guys;" one of us is a gal :-) I know what you mean tho & happy you enjoyed our help.

  • Flash player will not work Win7 IE8

  • Cannot save the settings of the Flash Player in Windows 7, IE8 32 bit.

It all started when we tried to add air 'connect' stuff, in order to "3way conferencing. All of a sudden, I can't save the settings of the flash. When I resolve my uclick crossword every day, I get a box flash asking me to allow or refuse to save the settings. But it does NOT allow me to make a selection, it does not even click on it. All that I candois leave the puzzle. I uninstalled 10 times at least, followed all of the suggestions on the help screens, etc. I use win7, version of IE is 8, but I used the beta of IE9 for awhile and deleted... I also had the flash beta 64-bit for some time, to allow me to use the Pandora gadget...

  • Flash Player not working not not for IE8, FF, Chrome

    Hello

I have Windows XP 32-bit, and I've upgraded to flash player 10.

I went to youtube (and other sites) and tried to watch a video, all I get is a black screen where the video is. It doesn't have the icon where it says "flash player necessary."

I uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times. I even went to other browsers, but it's all the same. and it does not appear on my list of programs.

    my C: drive files are:

    Flash10i.ocx

    FlashInstall.log

    FlashUtil10i_ActiveX.dll

    FlashUtil10i_ActiveX.exe

Note: I tried to use the Adobe downloader, but he kept saying "Not able to connect SSL" or something. This is a laptop from my company and I got the files Flash Player 10 of our own website we will have to maintain all the upgrades.

    Thank you.

Hi, have you tried to disable the hardware acceleration feature? Otherwise you can go to the Adobe test site and right click on the Flash logo and click settings, and then click display settings to uncheck H.A.

Then also check IE manage add ons for Shockwave Flash Object and make sure that it is activated.

In FF, look in the plugins for the Shockwave Flash vs 10.1.82.76 and make sure that this option is enabled.

Flash Player is integrated with Chrome, so there will be no problem with it.

    See if that helps.

  • Latest flash player installation fails in IE8/Win XP

I tried to install the latest version of Flash Player on my XP system for two days. Here is my system info:

Win = 32-bit Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3

Browser = Internet Explorer Version 8.0.6001.18702

Flash Player - one I used (recent but not a beta) has been uninstalled when I tried to install your latest version on your site in the usual way. After a few attempts to install, I downloaded and executed the Player uninstall program according to the instructions found on your site - Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1 software installation/uninstallation r53 - just to make sure I was doing a clean install. I also downloaded the latest version and it ran manually.

All attempts to install failed. I saw two different installers, BTW, and all two reported a failure but a reason and suggested to your troubleshooting page.

I went to the troubleshooting page, where I've tried everything, by the book.

More recent attempts produced the following message appears when you try to install on your site:

"The version of adobe flash player ActiveX that you are trying to install is not the most recent version. Please visit http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer_fr for the latest and most secure version. »

I went to this page, again without success. There is no Flash x components listed in my active browser objects.

I managed to install the latest version of the Shockwave Player (I tried, just to see if that would fail, but who succeeded).

I must add that I work from web using Flash 8, so it's also on my system, but I've ever run into a problem installing a newer Flash Player up to now. (And I've been using Flash since before Macromedia, when it was called FutureSplash.)

    Obviously, HELP!

It almost made me. Countless installs / uninstalls, Poirier, etc later, I finally found a solution that worked for me:

    http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/494/cpsid_49419.html

I hope this works for you, too!

A damaged Windows system registry or incorrect registry permissions settings may prevent you from installing Flash Player.

    Symptoms may include:

    • During installation, you see the error message "unable to install. For troubleshooting, please see: http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_19166. »
    • Your installation of Flash Player completes without error, but you cannot view Flash content in Internet Explorer.
    • Some sites tell you that you don't have the correct version of Flash Player, even if you have installed the latest version.
    • Some sites tell you to reinstall Flash Player, but after you do, you see the same message.

Permissions can be tricky, but in most cases, you can install and use Adobe Flash Player, if you are connected to a Windows administrator account. If you are unsure how to proceed, consult your system administrator or read the Windows documentation.

    System administrators

If you are a system administrator, see permissions for registry required to install Flash Player or update (TechNote tn_19148).

    Solution

Warning! By following the instructions below, you will modify the Windows system registry. A mistake could cause serious damage to the system, which may require you to reinstall your operating system.

If you are not comfortable editing the registry, get help from your system administrator or other COMPUTER professional.

If you choose to proceed, first back up your entire hard drive, and create a Windows System Restore Point.

Adobe Systems cannot be held responsible for any damages resulting from your following these instructions.

    1. Make sure that you are connected to a Windows administrator account. If you're not, you will not be able to use SubInACL.
    2. Download SubInACL from Microsoft Download Center.
    3. Follow the installation instructions. Make sure you only install SubInACL (subinacl.exe) to the directory C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools.
    4. Download the reset_fp10.zip file.
    5. Open the fp10.zip file and extract the reset_fp10.cmd file to the directory C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\. Note that this file and SubInACL (subinacl.exe) must be in this directory.
    6. Double-click reset_fp10.cmd. A command window will open and SubInACL will run.
    7. Do not use the machine while SubInACL is running.
    8. After SubInACL is completed, you will see a prompt "Press any key to continue".
    9. Install Flash Player on the Flash Player download page.
    10. To verify that your installation was successful, see the about Flash Player page. At the top of the screen, you should see a message that says "Adobe Flash Player successfully installed."
