Flow 8 Win10 upgrade eligible?

The title issue.  Reason why I asked my other devices has showed the 'Get Windows 10' icon in the taskbar, but not the Stream 8.  Live stream 8A makings "GWX" as a result of KB3035583.

Poking around the HP sites and couldn't find a definitive answer.

Search through dozens of threads with people having the Update icon issues Win10, I found where I could reinstall KB3035583 using DISM.

Just re-install this fact KB icon appears on my Win 8.1 Stream 8.  Then, I registered for the upgade Win10 without any problem.

To those who might have similar problems, here is the procedure that worked for me:

1 uninstalled KB3035583 and restarted the PC, then ran Windows Update but found no updates

2. download kb3035583 x 86 or x 64 cab file below

http://download.windowsupdate.com/d/msdownload/update/software/UPDT/2015/05/Windows8.1-kb3035583-x86_dc717b43d95c7fd7c12fee2f13e0b17a412e41ee.cab

3. copy the cab file in C:\temp

4. open elevated command prompt

5 copy and paste the x 86 or x 64 below DISM command, and then press enter

DISM/Online/Add-Package /PackagePath:c:\temp\windows8.1-kb3035583-x86_dc717b43d95c7fd7c12fee2f13e0b17a412e41ee.cab

6. after the installed cab file then Windows 10 icon will pop up

He repeats in the 10 Upgrade Wizard is not ready for Win10.

Are there drivers available and how can I force to upgrade?

Also my Aspire XC-605 runs a weed i3 and 6 GB of ram, 1 TB on 8.1 x 64 drive. Is it possible to upgrade to i7 and 16 GB of ram?

Any comments would be helpful as I would love to receive a ball of 8.1.

I would say that your computer is messed up or if you have a virus... because you should get 10 windows... If something is definitely wrong with your computer

    1. try running with anti-malware software

    4. it may ask you to upgrade to windows 10 immediately after your factory reset... or you may need to get all your updates Windows first.  And that can take some time.

During the upgrade the laptop gave a 0xc000000f error code and three options, enter to retry, f8 to startoptions and f9 to change operatingsystem no matter what options I try it keeps coming back to the same screen.

    What can I do?

Switch off the phone by pressing and holding the power button / stop.

Then turn the power on again and press F12.
Now you should see the advanced boot menu.

Here choose the HARD drive recovery
Then choose the language and keyboard.

Then solve problems->-> automatic repair of the advanced options.

I hope it helps... If not, you may need to get the laptop back to factory settings...

    Hello

    I checked the Manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04400176.pdf

and it seems that the MEM module is soldered to the motherboard because there is not a spare part. Means that you will have to replace the whole motherboard to get more storage.

Your laptop came with Windows 8 not 8.1 Pro. The license key is embedded in the BIOS, so if you try to install another version it will not activate. You must install 8 or 10. I actually had success on Windows 10 with this series of models using the Windows 8.1 driver posted here, but we say commonly that the switchable video does not work in Windows full 10. In other words, I'm sure, why we told you not to upgrade to Windows 10. You have the original restore disks. If this isn't the case, I'm sure that HP still has the available disks.

    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).
    • Support your default BIOS reset BIOS.

  • LR of Win10 upgrade, printing problems

Did a search, has not found an answer.

Recently updated for Windows 10 and trying to print via LR for the first time since the switch.  LR 2015.4 is the version.

In the print, in the print Panel the task Module, I select printer and the first properties screen rises, as it should. I choose the printer from the drop-down list and enter the menu full properties.  Select my paper type, color/BW, quality, Mode Options and paper settings. In paper settings, I change the size of 17 x 22.  Click OK, which brings back me to the screen of configuration of the initial impression again.  If I click OK here, the print job will start automatically.  That should not happen.  If I click Cancel, back in the LR print Module, I chose the paper size is not pass through and shows that the size of paper that I used last time I printed before the update via Win7.

Y does it have that something has changed in the printing process Win10 that I'm missing?  I can print via PS, so that isn't an option, but I would get LR sort too.

    Thank you.

I'm just curious... didn't really click on layout... down to the left?

    Hello Gabriel,

Yes HP flow is eligible for the upgrade. If you don't see the icon for the reservation to win 10, you may have "updated recommended" turns off. If so, you can check the updates manually and add them in.

  • wrong key after re-installing Win7 after upgrade win10

I chatted with Microsoft twice on this subject, but it seems that they are all delayed because Rhea or Nino could answer my questions.  The two gave conflicting responses and referred me to another organization of Microsoft dealing with Volume licenses!   I have only two computers, why I should go.

I had good faith Win 7 on my computer, then a free upgrade to Win10.  Everything worked except my ENTRY video card and it wasn't a problem of provider, either a driver problem with desktop video card.  (I worked with the seller of the input card).  In a Win 7 machine, the card worked fine.   Stupid me, I had updated Win 10 to see if it would solve my problem, what keeps me coming back to Win7 with an easy click on (Win10 upgrade records the Win7 files until you update.)

No problem, I had my software Win7 disk so I re-installed, using the product key, I had listed with my Bill for the software I bought it online.   Didn't work, so I used another button, for my current computer Win10.  It worked, and I installed Win7 on server.

Good news: my entry video card works.  Bad news: I can't activate Windows 7.  The key that I use, the key to this computer failed during installation reports that she wants a "Home Premium Key" while I had upgraded to Win7 Pro for free.  The key that let me install (for my OTHER computer) is blocked by Microsoft, as it should.  No trouble there.

How can I get from Microsoft to resolve this issue.  I have the invoice and key for the software on my desk ready to prove my case.   Microsoft let me update this machine with THIS key to 10 Windows but it won't let me DOWNGRADE using the SAME key for Windows 7.

I suggest that you run the diagnostic tool Microsoft Genuine Advantage in normal mode and copy and paste the results into a response for further analysis:

    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=52012

Run the tool and when it ends, click the copy button, open a text such as Word or Notepad file and select Edit, paste. You can paste directly into an answer here. Open a response, right click and select Paste.

  • HP 15-AB031TX: upgrade the OS and recovery

I purchased the above model from Amazon, and it was delivered to me yesterday. Here are my questions:

    1. I'm eligible for upgrade to Windows 10?
    2. If I switch to Windows 10, will be the recovery partition that was created by default, become redundant?
    3. Where is my Windows key?
    4. In the case of reformatting the system, I should install Windows 8.1, use his key and then upgrade to Windows 10 or I can install directly Windows 10?
    5. The package did not have any Driver disk then should I download separately to the exegencies of the future?
    6. This everything is covered by the standard warranty?

Also the foregoing asked, basically I want to know how much I have to tinker with the system without invalidate its guarantee of flexibility.

    @RudyP51:

    (1) everyone is "eligible" for the upgrade of Win10 because MS is pushing it for free.  IF what you're asking, is if your machine is compatible with Win10, you can check by entering the number on this page: Confirm upgrade to Windows 10 | HP® Official Site

I did and it returns the information that it has NOT been tested by HP, but this is strange, because your PC has Win10 drivers of HP: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/7771366/model/7919378#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1

So my best guess is that it IS compatible.

    (2) the recovery partition, after the upgrade of Win10, is not redundant, it is useless.  Which is set up to do a restore to your original operating system, and once that is replaced, this will not work because the Win10 upgrade corrupts and in some cases, removes, the recovery partitions OEM, rendering useless HP Recovery Manager.

    (3) your Windows product key is embedded in the UEFI firmware on the motherboard.  For this reason, some COA stickers are printed with product keys more.

    (4) the Win10 update, unlike previous versions of Windows, does NOT allow you to enter a product key for activation; Instead, it reuses the existing product key.  Once Win10 has been activated on a PC, it is then registered with the Activation of MS servers, and you can reinstall Win10 to the same machine without having to repeat the upgrade.

    (5) If you want to save your drivers, I personally recommend a product called Driver Backup.  This allows you to save on ALL your current drivers to a set of files.  IF you copy this set of folders on a USB key, you now have a way to reinstall the drivers when you want to.  I use it and it works great!

    (6) I'm sorry, not a person of the guarantee and can not speak to Suggest HP. you contact HP customer support.

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

    One last thing...

As GoBack to Win10 function has been proven to be unreliable, when people are trying to return to an earlier OS when it does not work, cannot leave the machine in a corrupt State, such that only a full factory reset HP recovery support it will get back to a working condition , and not only you have to buy only media, you end up losing all your data, settings, and applications in the process.

However, you can protect yourself from this kind of problems if, BEFORE you do that, you consider using a third-party application Imaging/restoration as Macrium Reflect to image your machine off, so you can easily restore it if something does not work.  And don't count on the Win10 GoBack function back on Win7, it is not reliable and can leave your computer in a damaged state.

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

    Have fun experimenting with Win10!

    [Personal information]

    Hello Parvezb ;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on Windows 10 Upgrade and wanted to help.

I never cease to be amazed by the amount of misinformation that MS representatives give people on Win10!

Rumors started about Win8 NOT be eligibile for the Win10 upgrade because people could not do it from Windows Update. But later, MS released information on the upgrade paths, and he showed be extensible Win8 to Win10 using Win10 media.  So what rep MS told you that he was not eligible for Win8 doesn't even know their own products!

You CAN actually go to Win10 when you want - using the tool of MS Media: 10 Windows Installer using the media - Windows help authoring tool

With this tool, you have the option of (1) creation of installation of Win10 (USB or DVD) media, (2) download an ISO file, (3) update the PC directly.  If all you want to do is updated on this PC, then choose the option: upgrade this PC now.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.
