Aspire XC-605 Win10 upgrade

Hello

I'm under Win10 at work and love unlike 8.1 that I really hate.

My Aspire XC-605 becomes quite slow on Win 8.1 (to the point that the operating system hangs sometimes for a minute no reason).

He repeats in the 10 Upgrade Wizard is not ready for Win10.

Are there drivers available and how can I force to upgrade?

Also my Aspire XC-605 runs a weed i3 and 6 GB of ram, 1 TB on 8.1 x 64 drive. Is it possible to upgrade to i7 and 16 GB of ram?

Any comments would be helpful as I would love to receive a ball of 8.1.

I would say that your computer is messed up or if you have a virus... because you should get 10 windows... If something is definitely wrong with your computer

1. try running with anti-malware software

2. make a recovery USB disk to factory default

http://Acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/26287/~/create-a-Acer-factory-default-backup-in-win...

3. backup of files and reset your PC to factory settings.

http://Acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/29934/~/use-Acer-recovery-management-to-restore-you...

4. it may ask you to upgrade to windows 10 immediately after your factory reset... or you may need to get all your updates Windows first.  And that can take some time.

Acer has your drivers windows 10 here:

I don't know if you need to update your BIOS because I don't have the model of your computer.

Then... What are the drivers of Acer to install Windows 7 on this PC?

Only problems with the drivers were Intel USB 3.0 controller driver eXtensible host, the AMD Radeon graphics driver and the Ethernet controller. Intel website was the first. The second site Web of AMD.  And the third could be found by searching googling and the hardware of the device ID it...

  • Aspire XC-605 No. bootable discs after update BIOS

    Hello

I installed Windows 10 on my Aspire XC-605 yesterday. I couldn't take the noise at work after that. I saw in another discussion which was recommended to an update of the BIOS.

So, I updated the BIOS to P11. B4. The update went well, no error reported. After reboot, I went into the BIOS settings and loaded by default such as recommended in the README file.

However, my system does see a bootable hard drive. Whenever I reboot, I have this message: Reboot and select clean boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected boot device and press a key.

If I go into Advanced-> various in the BIOS, my hard drive is permanently shown in AHCI Port2. In Startup Options, the 1st boot device is set to the hard drive. But when I go into the hard drive priority, there is nothing listed at all.

Any suggestions? I currently have a brick.

Well, I'll be... I thought about it after several hours of maddening.

I googled and found several stories similar to this error message, and all seemed to be driven to me who need active CSM. I noticed that the launch MSC BIOS setting was grey and set to 'Never' in the BIOS.

I finally realized that disabling Secure Boot has allowed me to toggle the setting to run CSM. I then put it to "always". Everything seems to work now.

  • Can not find the SSD Aspire MT3-605

In Windows Explorer, I can't find the 24 GB SSD, which is supposed to be in the desktop Aspire MT3-605-UR24. I also tried to find the SSD drive in Device Manager. How do I see it so that I can actually use it?

so. I'll answer my own question. First a little history: after two calls to the Acer support, trying to understand English with a dialect, I was transferred to tier 2 support. They sent me a shipping label to send my pc in Texas, which is about 2,000 miles from here where I live. Also asked me to burn backup discs. Well, Win8 does not burn backup discs. Only a USB is an option with Win8 (this has been verified using windows help). Do not feel all warm and fuzzy about this option, I thought taking a gamble and call the place I bought the pc (online store). After a brief conversation, I was sent an RMA label to send the pc back. No problem. They would simply send me a new. Better idea, but still some reservations since I had loaded the Suite MS Office Pro 2013 and wouldn't argue with MS to re-use the product key. So off to the internet to find others lost souls with a problem of similar sounding and suggestions.

So the answer?  The SSD on my AT3-605 UR24 is alive and well. It's a system used MBR only drive by the operating system. It is not expected to be an accessible player of the user.  It can be found in

Panel > system security > administrative tools > computer management > storage > disk management.   And there it is!  Alive, healthy and working properly.

  • Aspire XC-605 Downgrade from Windows 8 for Windows 7

    Hi people,

I need quick tips on a desktop PC Acer Aspire XC-605 and hope you can help me. My boyfriend just bought an Acer Aspire XC-605 for his family to use. It comes with Windows 8, but he hates this OS. He called me yesterday and asked if I could "downgrade it" to Windows 7 as I'm a bit geek with PCs.

But I read a horror story about someone who wants to downgrade an Acer Aspire XC-600 and it seems very simple not => so I expect the same thing to a XC-605. (I'm trying a bit of research before plunging).

Here is a summary on how to get Windows on an Acer Aspire XC-600 from this post:

1 completely turns off your computer.

    2. turn on the system. As soon as the first logo screen appears, immediately press DELETE to enter BIOS.

    3. use the right arrow key to select the authentication.

    4. with secure boot is highlighted, press ENTER, and then press the arrow down to select the people with reduced mobility.

    5. use the right arrow key to select Boot Options.

    6. with CSM launch highlighted, press enter and use the arrow down to select always.

    7. press ENTER.

    8. press on the F10 key to save the changes and reboot the system

9 re - enter the BIOS by pressing DELETE and go to the Advanced menu.

10 go down in the Integrated Peripherals menu.

11 change onboard SATA Native IDE mode.

    12. press on the F10 key to save the changes and reboot the system

By doing this, you can, since the Win7 DVD, delete all existing partitions and not all errors not being able to install on this HARD drive.

After installing Win7 the only drivers Win7 not found were the wired LAN, card reader Realtek USB and SM Bus controller. (On the XC-600)

My understanding is that Win 7 use Win drivers 8 without a problem. So I used the devices I've found a similar driver on the Acer Aspire XC-605 issue.

That computer has SLIC 3.0, & Secure Boot UEFI, is why a full erase of the HDD is required; as with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) & Secure Boot-online Bios "wife" the hard to the motherboard. At least that's what I discovered to date. I generally supported the recovery partitions on OEM boxes like an insurance-online just in case that something goes wrong, and I can't install the desired OS. Of course wipe everything clean denies this useful backup. Comments please?

PS - I forgot to mention that my boyfriend he filed yesterday afternoon while I was helping my mom with lights. He was still in the box.

The box was brand new! -It never has been started! I couldn't believe he didn't even try to make 8 on this so I called him again, and he said he was certain that he would not win 8. So I did the same as above for a XC-600 and it blew.

However if you replace onboard SATA Native IDE mode as shown above in 11, Windows will not let you install from a USB key as it crashes during the expansion of the files to 1% on the XC-605. If you use a disc of 7 win he advises you immediately after you size the partition to the OS and tell him to install there, that the drive is not configured in the Bios to be Bootable. He definition back to ACHI authorized Win 7 must be installed on the disk (I didn't try the Stick but this probably would have worked as well).

There were a few more necessary than the XC-600 above - drivers so I installed all drivers 8 Win from the Acer site, and they all worked, but there is only one device listed in the Device Manager, under other devices-online (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller that has a yellow triangle next to him. He doesn't have a driver that are associated with and Windows Update does not find it. I find it strange that he sees it as a USB controller because as all USB ports now operate. I think that Windows has erred in the detection of this device so I am headed in that direction now.

I tried the function of automatic detection of Acer and it says to activate a Bluetooth, Lan and Wireless LAN and try to detect again. So I enabled the wireless connection, (one is connected to Wired?) but I'll try to find something Bluetooth to turn on that, but I think it's just a Kipper.

I hope someone will chime and advise how to determine this last device is before I get all my hair...

    Thanks for reading...

I went to Intels here and download a new Chipset for windows 7 (chipset 10.0.13 PV installation). That will fix the problem with (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller. Triangle yellow no more... I hope it works for you 2. /Kak PC-SUPPORT Sweden

  • Acer Aspire XC-605 impossible to update BIOS

I downloaded the latest BIOS for my Acer Aspire downloads to update Acer XC-605.

My computer came with the P11 - A2 version and the newer version is P11 - A3L.

I created a USB boot disk using the disk USB HP and everything seems to work fine. However, when I tried to Flash the BIOS using flash.bat I get the following message:

ERROR: File Rom ROMID is not compatible with the existing BIOS ROMID

    What I am doing wrong?

    Hello

In this case, you can upgrade the bios but only under DOS (as you tried).

  • Oops! Aspire Z1620 - UR31P BIOS upgrade - Windows 10

It's 'oops' as in, oops, when I upgraded my Aspire Z1620-UR31P (Windows 7) and Aspire E1-732-4651 (8.1 Windows) Windows 10 I have not noticed the asterisk Acer community important: "Please make sure that upgrade the BIOS before upgrading to Windows 10." Because of installation - especially with the unit Windows 7 problems - I was forced in one installs own for both machines. So, as discussed on this forum, when you perform a clean installation of Windows 10 a key product already is located in the BIOS and is read from the BIOS by installing Windows 10 and authenticated to the first connection by the web. Considering a digital facility right I guess it's too late to follow the BIOS upgrade alert, because I'll lose 10 Windows activation. Am I wrong?
At the moment the two machines operate smoothly with Windows 10, but unlike the E1 the Z1620 fails repeatedly to accept the first update Windows 10 major: "Upgrading to Windows 10 Home, Version 1511, 10586." Two-thirds in the update comes a blue screen hang up, requiring a hard stop, failure to automatically restore the update, and finally an automatic restoration of the earlier Windows 10 build after the message: "error updating Windows 10 0xC1900101 - 0 x 40017. Installation failed in phase SECOND_BOOT with an error during the START operation. »

You should be able to upgrade the BIOS, even if this first version of Windows 10 is already installed. The Windows key will remain during the upgrade of the BIOS.

How much space you have on the C drive? It is possible that the upgrade of 1511 fails with an out of space error... They are quite cryptic with error codes.

If your computer has 2 RAM slots & will support up to 8 GB, then each slot will accept only the 4 GB.

You can buy a 4 GB key compatible to work with your existing module.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I've seen some posts saying that the upgrade of ram D270 was deemed not user replaceable. Although Acer may have tried not user replaceable; It is altogether. It was so easy. I went on the standard of 1 GB of Ram for a 2 GB key in about 10 minutes.

  • Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG RAM upgrade

    Hi all

I intend to improve my RAM to 3 GB to 8 GB on Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG.

I intend to use 4 GB DDR3 1600 Mhz Laptop Ram CL11 PC3-12800 1600 MHz on the two slots.
I wanted to know if this laptop supports this RAM which is a frequency of 1600 Mhz.

    Has anyone tried this upgrade?

    Hi all

After my research, I found that acer supports maximum 8 GB 1333 Mhz RAM, which is 4 GB / slot for my laptop (5830TG).

    Please note the points below.

1 Max RAM memory supported by "Intel Core i5 2410 M' 16 GB is only acer only recommeds and supports 8 GB RAM

    2. the HM65 Express Chipset supports 16 GB of RAM but acer only recommends and supports 8 GB RAM

    3. the frequency max RAM supported by acer 1333 Mhz, 1600 MHz only is not supported since the BIOS does not allow to use as a guy mentioned in a forum. If you want to use 1600 MHz RAM then you need Flash the BIOS that is not the right thing, because there are problems of heat and laptop could stop working and it is in any case not tested and certified by acer.

This applies to anyone whose laptop computer contains "Intel HM65 Express Chipset' motherboard and processor 'Intel Core - i5 2410 M'.

I write so that it will be a reference for me and people like me who are looking to upgrade their RAM.

I plan to buy "Crucial 8 GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 FSB 1333 (PC3-10600) CL9 SODIMM 204-pin Notebook Memory Modules 1.5V. I will update my experience with this RAM after that some 4 to 6 months so if any of you are planning to upgrade can probably treat this as a starting reference.

    Thank you people.

  • I recently bought an Acer ATC Aspire TC-605-UB11 desktop computer; I need help setting up a 2nd monitor

Recently, I replaced my desktop with a new Acer Aspire TC-ATC-605-UB11 model. I moved the old system to the new video card (work), but I can't find a way to allow the 2nd video card. I know that sometimes there are BIOS settings that need to be addressed, but I don't see anything that looks like what I need.

A few details: the video material for my Acer is the Intel(r) HD Graphics 4600.

I am away from the system at the moment and do not remember the details of the video card inserted. I get that if requested.

I suspect that there is a framework to enable multiple monitors (I worked with before similar systems) or else the Acer does not simply another video card (maybe interruptions or other limited resources?). If this is the case, is there an option to use a USB "video card" instead?

    Thanks in advance for answers!

What is the model # of your graphics card you are trying to install?

What version of BIOS is installed on your computer?

The link below shows you how to use the mode and the clone desktop mode extended (for two monitors) with your HD4600 graphics supplied with your computer.

    http://www.Intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-031026.htm

Try to remove your video card and see if you can get the HD4600 to provide support for multiple monitors.  I have install 2 monitors with my TC-605.  A monitor is attached via HDMI and the other via VGA.

To check your BIOS version on the Windows 8.1, right click on the Start button, left click on 'run '.  Type msinfo32, and then click OK
