  In general, Federation depends on passing large amounts of data between mailboxes FMS parent and child.  Most organizations do not have the kind of big pipe between data centers to allow the Federation succeed.

  In fact, we re-architected our environment in order to eliminate the Federation last year and were much happier.

  (personal opinion follows - your mileage may vary)

  On the other hand, is not denigrate such Federation only implemented at Quest in Foglight.  This is a general problem with the concept of Federation.

  My understanding is that the Federation has succeeded only in a kind of very limited environment, where you need VERY limited, incidental and infrequent access to small amounts of data Federated, and where most of the data are used at the level of the child.  It is not a winning solution for handling large amounts of data in real time.  (Federation! = ala Hadoop parallel processing)

  Federation must be used for situations where the separation of the data is based on functional needs, not technical requriements.  For example, strengthening of information from multiple business units/entity agencies, not to divide several sources of data type even between different child FMS boxes.  Given the current limitations on location (fast connections to the LAN) and the number of child servers (is it still 4?), very few customers will find it an attractive and scalable solution.

  for example, in the environment of vFoglight, it's (in general) a very bad idea to divide data of Virtual Center between boxes of FMS child collection.

  

  Here, you can see that each request to any screen or report that requests data from multiple virtual centers will require a large number of round-trips on the local network, unifying child the child of unifying data... etc.

  You can easily configure a single FMS to manage any environment without sacrificing performance in the Federation.   Or consult the Quest Professional Services, they have other options to move the data in a much more focused and more scalable way.

  No, at the 2009 BlackBerry Developer Conference they have demonstrated that the code of Hot-Swap, GUI Builder and cross-platform support using Eclipse and says that these features would come out of 2010 (from what I remember; GUI Builder-early 2010 but in another post, one of the devs RIM said they aim for mid-2010, Hot-Swap and cross-platform would be mid-2010).   I bought this laptop in December with 10 Windows installed. A few weeks ago I started to receive a notification in Support Assistant update THE system BIOS.  No matter how many times I run the update of the notice persists and never recorded Action log this update took place.

  After having checked with this Forum, it seems that other users have had problems with the updates to the BIOS and HP Support implemented warned against updating the system BIOS, unless there is a compelling reason to do so.

  1. because I am not having any issue that could force such update, should I simply reject the notification?

  2. If such an update is not advisable, why Wizard displays its notification?

  3 dismissing the notification would make this sensitive laptop security vulnerabilities?

  I read your post and wanted to help.

  I understand that you have questions about the update of the BIOS. I agree that if there is no problem with the current system running, it is not necessary to update the BIOS. However, HP support assistant will fill the notification as soon as there is a newer version of the BIOS. You can reject the message and it won't cause security problems.

  There is another way to update the BIOS, by downloading it from the HP support page. You can put the number of your product here on this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers. Choose the right operating system on the page, it will show the drivers to your model, including the BIOS update.

• Offers updates firmware for NWZ-E354

  I hope that Sony has not released the player NWZ-E354 and left users without updates. So would like to think that I came with some features I've seen available in other brands of media players that I'm sure that all the users of this model Walkman would like to see implemented in an update of the firmware.

  -Remove the option for any folder/file without having to be connected to a computer. We can do with podcasts, but not with the music.
  -Gapless playback option and overlapping.
  -Fade-in/out playback when and after a pause.

  I know that the chances of these updates happening are slim, but this kind of features are those that people write about clients and in turn convince others to choose its new media players.

  I am runing Windows 7 Professional, but use Microsoft Office 2003.   I continue to receive updates for Microsoft Office components, but they will not install.  Specific are "update security for Microsoft Office Excel 2003 (KB978474), filter junk mail Outlook (KB979771) and implementation of security update for Powerpoint 2003 (KB976881).   The error message is CODE 646 "unknown error."   Someone knows how to solve?

  Seems to have problems with the selection of a "failure of research" (error message indicates that another program has changed by default - but by default has not been changed, in fact, with this recent update, it cannot be changed).    The second problem with Windows Mail.  When trying to get mail (from Comcast) it requires a login id and PW whenever it is open.   Remove the update fixes two issues?

  I got updates Vista 2, listed on the update page that I do not want to install: Silverlight, which has been registered for a few months and direct updates, which have been listed for several weeks.

  That is until last week when the 2 updates above have been no more listed but in their place, has been updated for KB955430 Vista.

  I read the description of the update above, however, although it says there is some Live updates, I would like a breakdown of exactly what is included.

  Also, since I downloaded IE8 Windows Explorer crashes from time to time.  I downloaded IE8 three times.  The first time, 2 times the incidents were constant and I was forced to restore.  This latest attempt was much better, even though I continue to suffer an accident from time to time.

  Someone will help me to determine exactly what it means the new Vista updates and if there is a work around US crashes?

  Get rid of IE8 - MS put knowing there was many problems of compatibility to this subject (or you can wait on MS to provide patches). Also, try to uninstall everything that you updated this day there "first" installation of IE8. In addition, make a system restore point before installing IE8. If you are concerned about the security updates, they will reappear in implemented sub to update Windows again - then reinstall. I hope this helps. Have a nice day :)
