  • Masters folder structure and iCloud limiting.

Recently tried to return to the Photos to see how it feels with Sierra and using a program which produces extensions that I love for external editing of photo editing. I am wanting to integration through devices, iPads, iPhones, etc.

I imported my images, 260 GB so and 35,000 points and created a new library. Out of curiosity I watched the masters record and it has the usual structure up to the date on which I imported the but they are all in a single folder (the date of importation). Although they were from many files, I did just pictures of my library of images. It is a library which dates back to 2001 or more. (I don't have a solid backup in place plan...)

Nothing to worry where crack down and get on with it? Seems to work OK so I guess it does what it should?

Also, sort of limit using iCloud, I bought 200 GB, but would rather the last year is observed in the cloud, if possible.

For the moment, iCloud is disabled for photos and he strives to do what he does on the external hard drive.

Masters record is not organized by the date of the photo capture, but the date of the session of import - year, month, day of the import.  It was the same in Aperture and iPhoto. So, if you have imported the photos on the same day, they will be in the same folder.

It would be different, if you migrated an existing iPhoto or Aperture library. The masters should then represent the import of previous sessions, but rebuild the library can change that.

Also, sort of limit using iCloud, I bought 200 GB, but would rather the last year is observed in the cloud, if possible.

All the photos in the photo library of the system will download to iCloud, if you enable iCloud photo library.  More than one library allows to limit the upload selected photos. Single library can download to iCloud photo library. See this Heklp page: https://help.apple.com/photos/mac/1.0/?lang=en#/pht6d60b524

  • can I switch from icloud photo library app photos without losing the photos

I have my settings so that all my photos have been removed from iTunes and are now accessible via the iCloud library, but I don't like the way they are stored in all THE PICTURES rather than in their respective albums that I spent hours and hours of sorting.

If I drag iCloud photo Library, everything returns to how it was (basically, my photos will appear on my iPad in their albums?)

The images are not stored in iTunes, so I don't know what you removed and hence. Your photos and your videos are stored and organized in the Photos app, on your computer and on your iDevices. iCloud library is how they are synchronized between all of your devices. This includes your albums. If you don't see any albums on your iPad, maybe not looking in the right place? One caveat is that you have nested folders.

You can disable iCPL on your iPad and then return to using iTunes to sync photos, but like I said, you should see your albums with iCPL.

  • Some iBooks missing after the update and switch to iCloud

    Updated in 9.3

Agreed to use iCloud, now some of my iBooks issue are missing

Since the upgrade to ios 10.11.4, when you go to iBooks, asked me if I wanted to synchronize using iCloud. What I did. Then, about 100 + iBooks has shown on my Mac but not on my iPad or iPhone, despite having the same on all devices 3 apple ID and correct synchronization enabled buttons. When I looked at the LIST iBooks on library iBook of my mac (next to all the books, collections, authors and categories), many of my books has appeared as zero KB in size, but I could still open them on my Mac. They has not yet shown on my other devices. I deleted all my books zero KB. Then went to TRASH, moved into my OFFICE and then trained in iBooks once more. This time, they showed as having a value greater than zero KB and now appear on all my devices. So: delete, restore, import again. Must be synchronized.

  • Text of "iCloud care."

I just got a text on my phone. It is in a green bubble.

He told me that if I wanted to continue to use my Apple ID that I would need to connect to the web of care iCloud address.

Im sure it is a scam.

can anyone confirm this? and if it is how can I report it to apple?

    This is indeed a scam

Do not enter your credentials to Apple in there

To report this please read this article

    http://www.Apple.com/legal/more-resources/phishing/

As you know - you can send a text to an email address by pressing on the tips of the fingers - call the function forward and add the e-mail address field

  • Switch to Mac OSX iCloud are missing and login password

I have a couple of users sharing an iMac (10.11.4).  They are connecting with local accounts / passwords.

I just set them up with the iCloud account, and I would that they connect to the computer with these.

Normally, for this I would connect as a user, go to System Preferences / users & groups and hit the button change password and then click on the button "use iCloud.  However, I'm just pop-up regular password changes, with no option to switch to iCloud.

I tried the signature of the user and again in system preferences / iCloud, but this did not help.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

If users are not admin users, try making them users admin to see if it works. You can then change them back.

  • Document pages in iCloud

I wrote a paper on my iPad, but it is not transferred by iCloud to my iMac.   What can I do?

In OS X system preferences: iCloud Panel, you must be signed in and under Options... to iCloud Drive, √ Pages.

On your iPad settings: iCloud there must be set to ONE. I have more Pages installed on iOS, but where there is a separate page entry, see if it has an option to share with iCloud Drive or iCloud and allow that.

Your Pages iPad documents will be written in iCloud drive, and you have to say Pages for Mac pick them up in his file selector value than iCloud Drive: Pages the location of the folder that are not physically on your Mac. You can click and drag these documents from physical to your Mac iCloud drive if you choose.

Once iCloud drive is detected on your Mac, backups Time Machine will start capture car iCloud documents.

  • songs of iCloud on phone

I decided to try a free trial of 3 months of Apple's music. Unfortunately, when I signed all my iCloud music wound up on my phone. I tried settings > music > Switch Off iCloud music library but when I went back to my library all my iCloud songs were still there. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.

    Hello NCasper,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

If you have disabled iCloud music library, but you still see a music not on your iPhone, then you're probably just to see your purchased music that is available to be downloaded.  All you need to do is enable the option show only downloaded music to get these to go away.

To display the music you downloaded for offline listening, go to my music. In the section recently added, press the category picker (artist, album, etc.). Only downloaded music is at the bottom of the list of categories. When this setting is enabled, My Music shows only the songs you downloaded on your device. Disable this setting to see all of your music, including the music stored in iCloud music library.

Use of music music Apple in the app

    Take care.

  • How to import pictures from iCloud drive Photos on iPad?

Sorry, that should be so simple, but it isn't.

I poured a folder of photos from my macbook to iCloud by car. No problem.

Then, I wanted to import these images into the folder of drive iCloud on my iPad in pictures... How can I do this? Is there not "import" in Photos and export to iCloud via the icon 'share', only waking up on an individual photo should he I really share 500 photos, one at a time?

    En thank you for help.

Use the Photos application to synchronize photos, no drive to iCloud.
