• How to determine the Thread of execution for PostUIMessage,

  Greetings:

  I'm trying to develop an application TestStand with two Interfaces (in addition to the sequence editor) user, and I need to be able to view messages from interface user back and forth between two user interfaces.

  So far I managed to create a user interface, and I can post messages for the user interface of a TestStand sequence to my user interface. large.  I spent the reference Application Manager in the constructor of the UI object.

  It seems I've found the problem.

  The code sample that I created on my user interface is from the article "launch of a floating .NET form in TestStand.  In this example, the reference of the Application Manager is in a member of the class defined as:

  Class AppMgr ApplicationMgr;

  If you try to get the referral of Application of the motor as this handler:

  AppMgr = seqContext.Engine.GetInternalOption (InternalOptions.InternalOption_ApplicationManager) (ApplicationMgrClass);

  It is then the exception mentioned above is generated.   If, however, the reference to Application Manager is defined as:

  ApplicationMgr AppMgr.

  and it is extracted in the context of the sequence as follows:

  AppMgr = seqContext.Engine.GetInternalOption (InternalOptions.InternalOption_ApplicationManager) (ApplicationMgr);

  everything works as I had planned (without exception).

• Windows Search find files but the mistakes of some of them, which are open normally when it is accessed to follow the path of the error opening

  My client uses Windows Search to help track the files in a fairly large groups. Indexing and everything seem to work very well, but when the user performs a search, it returns the information that are expected, but when you click on some of the files that it generates this error:

  "Cannot find 'file:///s:/XXXXX/XXXXXX.pdf'. "Make sure that Internet address or pat is correct.

  (where XXXX/XXXX are the path and name, of course. It varies and is not a specific place, or all in the same places is originally the same error)

  Varies depending on the issue and the only consistency I've found is than that error all tend to share the same name of 'Owner' and those who work divides different. Yet once again, the 'owners' vary. When browsing directly on the elements, following the exact path in error, the files open fine. In our case, 's:' is a mapped network share, but which seem to be the question either, as the other files in the search located on the same mapped share and in the same directory path work very well.

  To make it even more confusing, the search of all works perfectly on another computer. All users have the same access right, reading/writing/execution, in the cases in question. The file doesn't seem to be open and in-use by other users.

  The system in question is running Windows XP Professional SP3 and is connected to a domain active directory running Windows Server 2003. We have tried to do, and it did not help.

  Any ideas? Thanks in advance for anything that can help you!

  A Dialog.ask is not very fast!

  You can use an inboxlistener to receive an email or even a text message with a command to start the pushlistener. But why you want to do something like that? listening on a port, there's nothing that drains the battery.

  I got 1 response to my initial questions but I also followed questions that I have not received help with.   Also, here is the latest news.  I updated my old hp pavilion a810n 7 Edition windows xp home premium today.  Device Manager shows yellow exclamation points on ethernet controller and multimedia audio controller.  I ensure that I can't connect to internet because of these problems.  These two are fixed if I get some new material.  I gave the link, but I'm confused by all the different types of shows.   Please look at the thread and help me determine what I need and what should be the specifications so I can order the good part.  I'm new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated.
