Follow-up to the letter w symbol.

The letter W is planned. Considered a symbol of follow-up. W7 and earlier versions.

This is noticed by someone else?

Hello

The font of the letters used style may have caused the problem. You can use a different font style to correct or fix this problem.

Kind regards.

  • Question: Symbol sort taxonomy/character below the letter Z?

    I want to sort our taxonomy in two different ways.  I use an astricts (*) to sort above the alpha text, then the alpha order, and I need something to fix the bottom of the letter z.  Is there any known symbol that I use in the ADMN UI that will sort below the text of alpha taxonomy.  Thank you.  -BeckieC

    Thanks for the reply Ron.  ASCII sort order is not viable.  Symbols sort before the alpha characters.  We tested the numbers, symbols, bullets, of underlining, tilda and even foreign charsets.  Sorting is very defined in an Oracle DB per an article in the knowledge base that I read yesterday.  I was checking to see if there is no known option and it seems that there is not.  Thanks again for your response.  -Beckie

  • "Weird problem: cannot write the letter'm ' in Safari with active Javascript

    Hello. Starting with the last system update (for what I can tell), I get this weird behavior in Safari and safari ONLY: I can not enter the letter'm ' in any text field (for example, search google, bing search engine, google docs, search apple support). However, I can write perfectly well the letter'm ' in the address bar, as well as in other browsers (Opera, Firefox) in the exact same conditions. The only way I can get Safari to recognize'm ' is to disable JavaScript. However, I don't see any JavaScript code that can block the keyboard or the part of it. With the help of a U.S. keyboard.

    Any suggestion?

  • How to change the letter on the external HARD disk

    My drive external hard was originally on drive F, and with that, I got all my music iTunes also. However, for some reason, my computer stopped recognizing the F drive; the following message appears when you try to open this drive:

    "The drive or network connection that designates the shortcut 'F Drive.ink' is not available. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available and then try again. »

    The problem I have now is that the external hard drive is now the G disk and iTunes does not recognize the path (G:\iTunes), I say to use, for example, my music is not loading properly and that a fraction is playable.

    Can someone help me with this?

    Hello

    I would recommend to change the external drive (g) to F letter.
    Do you know how to do this?

    After the external HARD disk is connected, you need to access the disk management and you will see the HARD drive (unique partitions) and other readers.
    Then you must mark the external HARD disk and should change the letter F.

    Perhaps the letter F was reserved for another drive.
    In this case, you need to unlock the letter F by assigning another letter to the reader that uses the letter F.

    Hi gjayand welcome to the Forums of HP.

    I see that you are having problems printing.  I would try to help.

    I recommend you to perform a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

    I suggest you then following the steps in this document on lights blinking.

    Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Here's my problem: every time I type an e-mail and I hit the letter "T", my computer opens a new tab. How can I disable this "T" by typing the problem? I would appreciate your help. Thanks, Dan

    Whenever I type the letter "T", while sending an email, it causes my computer to open a new tab/page.

    It's on a laptop? It is the touchpad at the origin of the problem. Go to the properties of the touchpad and disable the zoom in/out function. Basically, the left side of the touchpad is configured as the right side, except instead of scrolling up and down, it is set to follow up to zoom in and zoom out. Whenever you place your Palm and you get any contact on the touchpad, keyboard recorded pressures on the CTRL (this is how zoom works). Microsoft® Security MVP, 2004-2009

  • The prohibited letter? Why we cannot use the letter 'f' with BBAlpha without?

    This is a fun one. drawText() can paint the letter 'f' when you use BBAlpha font.

    I expanded a field class to create a simple banner with the following code. This will display "abcde gh" when you use 'Without BBAlpha' or "BBAlpha Serif" as default system font.   No "BBAlpa" fonts do not have this problem, they don't make the lowercase "f".

        protected void paint(Graphics graphics) {
            // First draw the background colour
            graphics.setColor(0xFF000000);
            graphics.fillRect(0, 0, getWidth(), getHeight());

            // Then draw the text
            Font _font = getFont().derive(Font.PLAIN, 20, Ui.UNITS_pt).derive(Font.BOLD);
            graphics.setFont(_font);

            String text = "abcdefgh";

            int textWidth = _font.getAdvance(text);
            int x = (getWidth()-textWidth)/2;
            int letterWidth = 0;
            for (int i=0;i

    Any advice on how to proceed? I guess I picked a font, but I would rather to honor the preferences of the user. Someone knows how this view of the letter 'f '?

    I found a work around:

    graphics.drawText(Text,
            x,                  //x
            getHeight()/2,              //y
            DrawStyle.VCENTER,          //style
            letterWidth+5);             //width

    Looks like the letter 'f' is probably greater than the reported advance and therefore exceeds the projected width. My guess is he gets clipped. A factor adding little fudge does appear...

  • BlackBerry smartphones alert icon - red circle with an arrow at the bottom right and the letter W in the Middle?

    I have a Blackberry Curve 8530 (Verizon).  This red circle with the letter W in the Middle appeared yesterday next to the symbol of the envelope for new msgs, etc at the top of the main screen.  It has a small arrow on the lower right edge and a number 1 next to it.  What is c?  And where to go to open, read or see what it means?

    The notice says you have an application that you previously downloaded or purchased in App World > My World, which is ready for an upgrade on your device. Look there for the upgrade.

    To clear the notification on the screen, find the alert message in your main folder, read or delete it.

    In the future, you might find the search function (top-right on EVERY page of this forum), useful for you.

    Good luck!

  • Printing of documents that contain the letter and legal-size pages - Laserjet 600 M602

    We have a printer Laserjet 600 M602, that does not automatically select a tray to print every time someone tries to print a document that contains the letter so many pages of legal size.  The default printer for the Tray 1 (Manual power) and the user will have to walk over to the printer and the printer to select the correct tray.  I went in the printers settings via the web interface and I set the tray settings to the following: Tray 1 - any Type of Size/Any, bin 2 - letter/plain, plateau 3 - legal/Plain and it still does not print correctly.  Unfortunately for the printer settings, it was on that I'm comfortable doing.  I read the print driver may have changed, but we use the driver included with the disc and I guess that it would be sufficient that this driver.  Does anyone know of some setting that I might be able to change the printer or if it is indeed a print driver problem?  Any comments would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    I was able to receive help this morning from HP support.  He turns out, there were two things that I needed to change.  The first is that when printing from a pdf file, there is an option in the print area for "Choose paper according to the size of PDF page source" and the second thing, it was with the printer printing preferences.  In the printing preferences, under the "Printing shortcuts" tab, the paper Type has been set to Prepunched.  We changed this Unspecified.  After making these two changes, the user is able to print correctly in the printer.

  • Incorrect display of lines not put across the 9-slice symbols inside the Flash IDE of CC

    Hello everyone.

    I found a problem with the Flash IDE of CC. It shows lines not put across the 9-slice symbols incorrectly inside his IDE (However the final result published is correct). The source and example files can be downloaded here: http://cdn.dmldevelopment.com/plugins/tests/incorrect_work_with_scaling_in_Flash_CC.zip you can compare 2 screenshots in the archive: look_inside_Flash_CC_IDE. JPG and look_inside_Flash_CS4_IDE. JPG and you will easily understand that wrong.

    Will be waiting for the resolution from Adobe on this point. Hopefully they'll fix it soon as this question always takes the extra of our developers time when we try to make perfect pixel patterns.

    Hi Infeter,

    There is another solution to workaround if you do not use thin strokes.

    Change your original symbol - select the shape - Goto Menu - change form - convert lines to fills.

    After that make sure you adjust the width and height of the PI you like and you're good to go!

    And on your old applications, you should be able to follow the same link and please try to provide as much detail as possible while making your requests.

    Kind regards

  • Cannot delete the created dynamically symbol Instance

    Hi all

    I have a symbol instance called from the library using this trigger:

    stopAll var = sym.getComposition () .getStage ().getSymbol("comb").getChildSymbols ();

    for (var i = 0; I < stopAll.length; i ++) / / returns the number of direct children

    stopAll [i] .stop (); / / create an instance of a symbol as a child element of the

    var chromo1 = $(sym.createChildSymbol_("Peak1_1",_"Stage").getSymbolElement ());

    chromo1. CSS ({marginLeft:175, marginTop: 500});

    Correctly, it stops all the symbols within a main symbol of the game and sets the "Peak1_1" symbol instance on the stage.

    Then, in the symbol that was instantiated ("Peak1_1"), I have a button symbol 'CloseChromo1' with the following

    var startAll = sym.getComposition () .getStage ().getSymbol("comb").getChildSymbols ();

    for (var i = 0; i < startAll.length; i ++)

    startAll [i] () .play;

    sym.getComposition () .getStage () .sym. $("Peak1_1") .remove ();

    The first three lines work and effectively restart the child symbols stopped.

    The fourth line, which should eliminate the instantiated scene symbol does not work. I've tried doing the name of the instance ("chromo1"), and hide using the GetSymbolElement, which does not work. I tried to use deleteSymbol() and referring to the tree of any symbol, from the level of Composition and it does not work. I tried all possible variants, I can think of, including SEO by children and their parents – still no joy.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance for any help!

    Matt

    I thought about it:

    You use the symbol should be deleted in as parameter for the deleteSymbol() method, as follows:

    sym.deleteSymbol ("Peak1_1");

    I wish JavaScriptAPI had examples documentation more and better!

    Thank you, resdesign, for your help.

  • Reversed name appears in the index under 'Symbol' rather than 'A', 'B', 'C '...

    Hello

    I wrote a simple script that quickly adds a reference section and page (first level) to an index. It seemed to work OK, then I am ambitious and tried to write another script, this time one that reverses the order of a first name and family name where there is a space between them. But now, even if the name is duly reversed, it appears in the Index panel under 'symbol' rather than the first letter of the family name.

    I would be very grateful for any help.

    Thank you, Jeremy

    myDocument var = app.activeDocument;

    myIndex = myDocument.indexes.item var (0);

    var myMarker = app.selection [0];

    var myText = myMarker.contents;

    myDialog = app.dialogs.add var ({name: "Add entry index with the range at the end of the Document", canCancel:true});})

    {with (MyDialog)}

    {with (dialogColumns.add ())}

    var myTextEditField = textEditboxes.add ({minWidth, editContents:myText:200});})

    }

    }

    Ditto var = myDialog.show ();

    if(myResult == true) {}

    var myIndexTerm = myTextEditField.editContents;

    myDialog.destroy ();

    var myBreak = myIndexTerm.indexOf(' ');

    var mySurName = myIndexTerm.slice (myBreak);

    myFirstName var = myIndexTerm.slice (0, myBreak);

    var myReversedName = mySurName + ', ' + myFirstName;

    var myTopic = myIndex.topics.add (myReversedName);

    myTopic.pageReferences.add (myMarker, PageReferenceType.TO_END_OF_DOCUMENT);

    myTopic.name = myReversedName;

    }

    Jeremy,

    The contents of your myReversedName variable begins with a space: the problem is in this line:

    > var mySurName = myIndexTerm.slice (myBreak);

    He grabs the space between the first and last name. So, because your topic name starts with a space, it is placed in the section of symbol. Apparently, ID has a mechanism to correct this and removes the space when you click on the element. Instead, use this:

    > var mySurName = myIndexTerm.slice(myBreak+1);

    In addition, you can use GREP JavaScript to change the name and first name:

    > myReversedName = myIndexTerm.replace (/ ([^] +) (. +) /, "$2, $1");

  • Why the letter spacing is ignored when running in dynamic text fields?

    I use dynamic text fields using the font Arial embeded in Flash 8 on Windows XP and when I set the letter spacing of 5, then run it film the spacing is lost. Tried with several other fonts and they always lose their spacing during execution.

    Why is this?

    Kevin

    it solved!

    You must reset the value linespacing in code after you put text, as follows:

    var my_fmt:TextFormat = new TextFormat() / used to change the color of the text
    Label.Text = "" Hello World ""
    my_fmt.letterSpacing = 1
    label.setTextFormat (my_fmt)
