@font-face missing in Firefox 15 ligatures

I use a @font-face for my site, http://lunatorium.com/, and the ligatures fi and ff are not displayed to the top.

This happened in the latest versions of Firefox and was corrected by adding - moz-font-feature-settings: "liga = 0; rule @font-face for policies affected, but since the upgrade to Firefox 15, which set no longer works. The solution is in place and the ligatures appear not, but ONLY 15 of Firefox. All other browsers are fine.

The syntax has changed and is now 'liga' 0;

-moz-font-feature-settings: "liga=0";
-moz-font-feature-settings: "liga" 0;

• @font-face not working in FF, but work elsewhere.

Hey, I tried to get @font-face works in Firefox, but it simply doesn't. I am hosting the police outside and the way I do work on other browsers. This is my code:

< body bgcolor = "CA2E28" style = "margin-left: 0px;" margin-right: 0px; ">
< style type = "text/css" media = "screen, print" >
{@font-face}
do-family: "Blackout".
SRC: url (link woff is here, don't want to here however).
}
Body {do-family: 'Blackout'}
< / style >

THIS SHOULD BE THE BLACKOUT.

< / body >

Can you check to see if Firefox downloads the file? To do this, start by opening the Web Console in the lower part of the tab under your page using either:

• CTRL + SHIFT + k
• button '3-bar' menu > developer > Web Console
• (menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Web Console

Click on the "Network" button/tab along the top of the console and reload the page. Here you can see Firefox asks the file and, if so, whether it is reclaimed.

If extracted, and then click the Console and reload the page and watch the error messages that might relate to the police. Something strange?

If the download of the police and there is no error message, use the tab of the Inspector to look at the body element and see if the style is there and is used to effect (i.e., none blocked).

If all that is good, you may check your personal settings to make sure that you are not Web site font substitution. Either:

• menu button '3 - bar' (or edition menu) > Preferences > content

Click the Advanced button and make sure that you have checked "allow pages to choose their own fonts.

If all this is good, so it's a mystery. Have you checked Firefox on other machines or other operating systems?

• @font-face can not work in Firefox but work on other browsers.

I made a website and uses a police custom requiring a @font-face for styling. I used Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome to check if the CSS script works and I found it works well, except Firefox.

I tried to find resources or questions about it, but it seems difficult. Will there be web programmers who know this problem?

Here is the code:

{@font-face}
Police-family: of yore;
SRC: url("font/Yesteryear-Regular.woff");
}

To all the people who helped me in this topic, thank you very much. I found what the problem is... In fact the Firefox does support the EOT file type and make the entire side @font destroyed. I removed it and only put WOFF file in CSS and it works now.

Thank you very much.

• Problems using CSS @font-face in Firefox 6.0.2

I use this CSS code below for @font-face Web fonts. They work in all other browsers except Firefox 6.0.2

Can you please help me with this problem?

{@font-face}

font-family: 'Anime Ace';
src: url("./fonts/AnimeAceBold.eot"); /* EOT file for IE */

}

{@font-face}

font-family: 'Anime Ace';
src: url("./fonts/AnimeAceBold.ttf") format("truetype");/* TTF file for CSS3 browsers */

}

H1 {font family: 'Anime Ace', without serif; color: #F5F5BE; font size: 1.5em ;}}

Try to use absolute paths for fonts to see if it works to avoid potential problems of field.

• @font-face-range unicode is supported in the latest version?

CSS3 definesa descriptor for unicode - range in the rule @font-face. Is this supported in Firefox 8, or is it planned?

Yes, it doesn't seem to work right now, then you will have to wait until the bug is fixed.

• Why did you remove @font-face support of Firefox5 (Yes, tested it on several machines, works fine in all other browsers & firefox4!)

.....

@callumw, you have these rules:

@font-face{font-family:"Tiger Rag LET";src:url("/font/tigerrag.ttf")} @font-face{font-family:"Tiger Rag LET";src:url("/font/tigerrag.eot")}
@font-face{font-family:"Century Gothic";src:url("/font/gothic.ttf")} @font-face{font-family:"Century Gothic";src:url("/font/gothic.eot")}
@font-face{font-family:"Lithos Pro";src:url("/font/lithospro.ttf")} @font-face{font-family:"Lithos Pro";src:url("/font/lithospro.otf")}

Firefox gets the second files two police in each case. Because Firefox does not support the .eot format, these two policies will not work in Firefox. Can you try to change the order of these two and see if that helps?

Edit: Century Gothic is already on my system, while the first is the most critical.

• @font-face...

Hello

@font-face has correctly applied to Safari and Chrome for Apple, but still not on Firefox.

Any info on this... is this normal? -I think not.

Thank you!

Your way to the folder fonts of your CSS file is not fair. Try this.

{@font-face}

do-family: 'MontagLight ';

SRC: url('.. / fonts/MontagLight.eot');

SRC: local ('MontagLight'), local('MontagLight'),

URL('.. / fonts/MontagLight.eot?#iefix') format('embedded-opentype'), / * IE6 - IE8 * /.

URL('.. / fonts/MontagLight.otf') format ('opentype'),

URL('.. / fonts/MontagLight.woff') format ('woff'),

URL('.. / fonts/MontagLight.ttf') format ('truetype'),

URL('.. / fonts/MontagLight.svg#MontagLight') format ('svg');

}

If you continue to have problems, try to comment on the bootstrap CSS files to see if that makes a difference.

• @font-face questions [Playbook]

Has anyone got using @font-face in their projects?

My app looks good when viewed in a browser, but the @font-face doesn't quite work by testing on the Playbook... To be sure, I even tried including all formats (truetype and woff, svg)

Don't know what I'm doing wrong...

It could have all sorts of reasons. Maybe something wrong with the police?

Just a suggestion: try to put my example in an application, see if it works. If this is the case, change the font of your policy and see if it still works. If so, there is a subtle error in your code. If none there is something wrong with the police

• How do I know if all the fonts are missing after packing?

Hello

Last week, I packed my InDesign files and sent to the printer, and he reported that he was missing a few fonts.

I found the fonts (it seems that I have about three files of fonts, to various libraries, including, moreover, a folder of fonts in my InDesign file which did not have a single melting inside!) and sent to them and that was very good. Re-packed and it seems another two fonts are "missing". Well I found them too in a Microsoft folder (also in Office for Mac 2015)... so that's very good. But my question is this:

When I packed up the last time, I checked carefully to see if there is any lack of links, or any other problem. And I didn't say that there is something to all the missing. "0 errors", is what he says. It is only when the printer got the files that he has noticed.

Is there a way for me to know, before you send the files packaged, anything missing?

Thanks for any help,

Malcolm

If you use InDesign CC and the printer has a copy of InDesign CC, they can load the Typekit fonts that you use on their copy.

However, no doubt they are just using this version as a backup, and if your PDF has been successfully created, they will print from that.

• Why IDML fonts are missing.

I got files from an outside vendor. They use a more recent version on InDesign as I packed the document and included the fonts. I can't open the native file because it is a newer version that I have so I open the .idml file and all the fonts are missing. They are located in a folder in the package but InDesign is not a link to them. What I did research, they should automatically load fonts "paper only", but it doesn't seem to work. I use a PC and I'm assuming they're using a Mac, this is the problem? I use CS6. I tried to move fonts to their file in the same folder as the file .idml and vice versa without a bit of luck.

Mac T1 fonts are unnecessary on PC - it recognizes them as fonts. One or the other of you need to replace the Windows Truetype or OpenType, versions that work on both platforms.

• types of police files necessary for DPS 2015 HTML items (@font-face)

I use @font-face for fonts in HTML articles, and they seem to work well.

However, I would like to get the file sizes of the package as small as possible article. From places like fontsquirrel font packages include several font files for compatibility with browsers: FTT, woff, eot, svg etc.

I guess that articles of the victims of the DPS is useless this kind of coverage, I can delete most of these types of additional files and reduce the size of the package section. Is this the case? If so, what type of font file is really necessary here?

. WOFF should be, in my opinion, the only one you need.

• @font-face can read fonts of your file system or a jar?

JavaFX 8, the new @font-face CSS directive can load fonts from TTF files on your file system or a jar? I tried url('file:...'), local, etc. with no luck.

Thank you

Curtis

There is a known limit the font name must match what is in the font file. Research in the CSS specifications there was no indication that custom font names would be funded. The reason why it has the name attribute is so that the browser can decide whether to download and load the font file or not depending on the whether this name is used in the document. It does work in some browsers, if the name is not the true name of the font that is stored in the font file.

As for the URL, it looks like a bug we support no relative URLS. What ever you put in the url ("...") in quotes; is passed directly to Font.loadFont("...",10); at the present time, which should work with all absolute URLS. I filed a bug, so we can fix the relative URL problem http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-28022
