Fonts, set up at the edge of the text box

Hi all

Anyone know if it is possible to force a police to go on the edge of a block of text? Some fonts have a generous space above the height of the capitals of the letters inside a block of text. But I want the text block to the same size (height) as the police inside the frame.

Best regards, Tim

Discover your Options of text block - select the image and go to object > text frame Options

Then go to the Basic tab

Then check out the first baseline Option - and turn on the preview to view your changes.

This will give you the possibility to have X pitch accent, height of the capitals, etc..

If you want to get out to the right edge of an image on the left side then check out the window > Types and Tables > history and turn on an optical alignment, which will allow punctuation hang outside of the text frame, not only that, but "T" arms and letters as who will also extend beyond the edge of the image , with a negative value.

Please don't suggest me IE uncheck options - move - visual blah blah or press on CTR and scrolling up, none of them are working. Hello
    In Vista...

    Try a different screen resolution. Right-click on the desktop > personalize > display settings > resolution. A lower resolution will make everything bigger. Not every resolution will be usable - some likely to distort images or text. Make the tests until you find the resolution that works for you.

  • Default fonts for tools of the typewriter and the text box?

    Is there a way to change the default font, size, and color for the tools of the typewriter and the text box?

    It's extremely embarrassing use of the typewriter to fill out a PDF file (without the activated forms) and having to change the font and size each time.

    Similarly, I would like to change the default font and the size of the tool text box.  I would also like to set it up so it is not a box around the text.  Is this possible?

    It still works. I did mine and changed to Helvetica from Times New Roman, and black to red and held it for a new document.

    What problems are you having with the arrow? You go to Tools-> annotate-> arrow and an arrow appears. Then you can drag around the head and tail to make it to the desired location.

  • CS6 inDesign when the text box is set it is not adapt the text with it

    Hi Adobe community.

    In the past, I have been using Adobe CS5.5 and when you use Indesign I would like to make a text box, text entry and when I need the text box to be narrower, as I'm adjusting the box with the text selection tool would be admissible and move and adjust to fit within the box like you were changing the text box. So, you could see the text as you did the box around it more small.

    Now, I just went to do the same in InDesign CS6 but when move the text box, it simply moves the text and the text moves with it (do not meet with setting the text box), so I'm left guessing where the text will be sitting and it provides a few going until she I understand...

    So what I am asking, is there a box I need check preferences or something in CS6 so that text moves I adjust its bounding box, as it moves in CS5.5?

    Please help because it really bugs me!

    Thank you

  • Definition of default font for the text box in Acrobat XI

    Projects that I am working, I scan in all copies of documents I acquire and add at the bottom of the first page of the relevant information, that is, the source of recordings, volume, and page, using the tool text box (or typewriter).

    In earlier versions of Acrobat, I could choose a font style once and it has carried over to any subsequent document, I proceeded. In Acrobat Pro XI, it always happens as Minion Pro and I need to change in Arial Black every time. Is there a way to define Arial Black as the default choice for the text box?

    For what it's worth, I use Windows 8.

    Thank you.

    I came across a work-around for this for Acrobat Pro XI.  It is a process in two steps and a little heavy, but it works.

    First, go and add your text box and everything what you need text.  After having done that, select all the text, then bring up a bar of properties of the text box text by placing your cursor in the toolbar area and select 'Properties Bar' top of the page, right click or simply press Ctrl + E.  The properties of the text box bar will appear (floating, but not all the time).  Let the selected text, and then change the font properties to what you need.

    Secondly, deselect the text, select the border of the text box, make a right click and then select "Make current properties default" in the pop-up window.  FYI, the property bar to the box text will be changed from a floating real estate bar at this time, so if you need to make more detailed changes, simply close the bar and back to Ctrl + E to call upwards and make other changes.

    I use Windows 7 64-bit.

  • EP 6: change the size of the text box without changing the font size?

    OK, it took me awhile looong to finally install PES 6 (from 4 PES) and now it's been a Loooong time that I used it.

    4 PES, you just had to click on the text tool in the text box to see the squares bounding, and you can make the changes. In PES 6, it seems the only way I can get the bounding box to show is now with the tool selection... which of course does not change the size of the font as well.

    I did beaucoup Googling etc and that you can't find the answer. Help, please. I'm not a PSE newbie by any means. I used it for scrapbooking widely in the past which included a LOT of text resizing box... but it seems that 6 is designed differently than 4 and it is NOT intuitive at all. I've figured it out at some point, but it's been too long... > 1 year.

    Please help... need to finish scrapbooking for Christmas gifts...

    I wonder if what has been improved in later versions?

    OK people... it seems it's on my own computer performance issues! To do a break more significantly on areas bounding while using the text tool. I was so rushed... I had mice on and if something didn't happen immediately, assumed that he would not. Sorry for the trouble, but maybe this will help some other impatient soul like me!

  • Set the focus to the text box of the embedded NumericStepper control

    I have an application that requires I use NumericStepper edit control as ItemEditor of a DataGrid column.

    I have two problems that I can't seem to overcome, one being the result of the solution to another:

    (1) I need to instantiate the component NumericStepper during execution, because I don't ' know advance what columns it will require.  More important still, I need to specify default attributes (styles, min, max, width, etc.).  I can't understand how to specify these attributes other than in a .mxml file.  To handle this, I have crreated a component 'wrapper' that's an HBox with a NumericStepper inside her, and I can specify my attributes on the tag NumericStepper.

    (2) now that I did #1 above, although, when I click a DataGrid cell that uses this component editing, the editor comes back but the text box is NOT centered, which means that the user must click a second time if he wants to type a number.  It's very irritating, but I do not know how to manage the focus such as when my HBox-with-embedded-NumericStepper' control rises, it concentrates and its selected data, NumericStepper, just as the 'base' is.

    So, my questions are:

    (1) can I somehow assign property values to a standard when executing NumericStepper, so that I can avoid using my built-in custom control HBox?

    (2) how can I manage the focus so that when my control HBox is in place, the text box is selected and fucused?

    That sounds confusing, but I have a small program to demonstrate this.  The "QtyBad" column uses my own NumericStepper HBos-based and not to be put in the correct focus when activated.  The "QtyGood" column has demonstrated APPROPRIATE behavior, as exposed by the native NumericStepper component, but I can't specify additional attributes / s on this subject.

    Here are all of the program - called "DGNumStepperDemo" - here:

    DGNumStepperDemo.mxml

    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "utf-8"? >
    " < = xmlns:mx mx:Application ' http://www.Adobe.com/2006/MXML "layout ="absolute"creationComplete =" onInitialize () "> "

    < / mx:DataGrid >
    < / mx:Application >

    DGNumStepperDemo.as

    ActionScript file
    Import mx.collections.ArrayCollection;
    Import mx.controls.DataGrid;
    Import mx.controls.dataGridClasses.DataGridColumn;
    //---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------
    [bindable]
    private var gridData:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection([{Qty:0},{Qty:5},{Qty:10}]);

    private function onInitialize (): void
    {
    CDL of the var: Array = new Array();
    var dgc:DataGridColumn;

    DGC = new DataGridColumn ("QtyBad");
    dgc.dataField = "Qty";
    DGC. Width = 75;
    dgc.itemEditor = new ClassFactory (EditorDGNumericStepper);
    dgc.editorDataField = "value";
    cols.push (DGC);

    DGC = new DataGridColumn ("QtyGood");
    dgc.dataField = "Qty";
    DGC. Width = 75;
    dgc.itemEditor = new ClassFactory (mx.controls.NumericStepper);

    dgc.editorDataField = "value";
    cols.push (DGC);

    DG1. Columns = cols;
    DG1. DataProvider = gridData;
    }

    EditorDGNumericStepper.mxml

    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "utf-8"? >
    " < = xmlns:mx mx:HBox ' http://www.Adobe.com/2006/MXML ""4"verticalAlign ="middle"paddingRight ="4"paddingLeft = verticalScrollPolicy ="off"horizontalScrollPolicy ="off"> "
    < mx:Script >
    <! [CDATA]
    public function get value(): number {return itemQuantity.value ;}
    []] >
    < / mx:Script >
    < mx:NumericStepper id = "itemQuantity" value = "{data.". Qty}"minimum maximum ="0"="100"/ >
    < / mx:HBox >

    If anyone who bothers to run it, you can see what I mean about the focus problem in the QtyGood and QtyBad columns.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Quick response to the #2 is to change the EditorDGNumericStepper.mxml to the following:

    http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
               verticalAlign="middle" paddingRight="4" paddingLeft="4"
               verticalScrollPolicy="off" horizontalScrollPolicy="off"
               creationComplete="focusManager.setFocus(itemQuantity)">

    The only thing I did was put the NumericStepper to 100% width so it fills the column like the standard NumericStepper and it looks a bit better and I added a creation complete event handler that sets the focus to the NumericStepper.  I tested it and it will be emphasis each time on it like a standard stepper.  There may be a more "preferred" way, but it's simple and effective.

    On the #1 question, you want to change the properties, styles, etc. of a NumericStepper standard once it has been added to the data grid?

  • Print form fields don't all of the information in the text box

    I work with Adobe Pro.  I created a form to fill out.  When you print this form I get all the information in the text boxes that you want to print.  Anyone out there know how to do this?

    You must set the size of the font of the auto field so that all the text is visible on the screen, and then it will appear in its entirety on the printed page.

  • Cannot mount the frame to the text box

    Hello!

    I'm in InDesign CS6, on a 2011 iMac, and I often see this problem when I try to make a block of text to its content.

    Initially, it looks like this:

    by default 2015-08-20 at 22.14.53 PM.png

    Then I click on "mount the frame to the content" in the menu object, or by double-clicking on the handle at the bottom right of the text box.

    And then I get this thing:

    by default 2015-08-20 at 22.15.01 PM.png

    The police is Montserrat (free fonts, you can install it and see how it feels on your side).

    Editing is perfect on the left and right and on the bottom, but there's a margin of 10 pixels between the top of the text and the text box.

    It's really annoying when I try to align the text boxes with objects horizontally, because I then create outlines for text boxes.

    Given that this does not happen always, only with certain fonts, I am led to think that the height of the letters is not correctly calculated within the font file? I'll ask the proponent to the police for help as well, unless there is something like a value of high indentation of the hidden default page that I'm not aware of, or a solution of workaround that someone will report.

    Thank you

    In ID, select the block of text, right-click, and choose Options of text block, then the Baseline Options tab. You can set the first base line on the menu drop-down.

  • Question about the text box

    Hi all

    I have a weird problem in Indesign cs4.  I don't know if it's something I need to change or what.

    Basically, I am trying to create a layout of the brochure and I have 4 text boxes I mean aligned on the axis Y. On some occasions, I could put the y-axis to say 25 p 3 (for example and 3 4 boxes would sit on it aligned to that.  Yet, for some reason any the strange box when you set it to 25 p 3 is located far higher or lower that the other text boxes.

    Is there a reason that this is happening? All my fonts in the text boxes are the same.  Can anyone shed some light on this.

    First box is a different height and you're lining up the bottom...

  • Reorganization of the text boxes so that they mix upwards or downwards

    Hello

    I'm not sure to understand what happens when the text inline boxes are dragged - I have 6 on a page that are the width of the page but different heights and I would like to re - order them so they mix it up or down depending on where I drag them, but at the moment they go to the bottom of the page or disappear completely I can't work on the behavior.

    I think there must be a way of formatting.

    Thank you

    James

    Select each text box and if you use v5 Pages, visit the reorder menu and text wrapping set to None. Now, the text box are not repellent, and you can position them as you please. If you always use the Pages ' 09 and then again, select each text box and the Wrap Inspector, deselect object causes wrap.

  • photo book - move the text box

    I'm building my first photo book project - I was able to choose a theme, add images, open 'options', type in the text box, edit the fonts and size and move the text up and down the text box - BUT I couldn't resize the text box or move it to the lowest point in the page.

    - BUT I was unable to resize the text box or move it to the lowest point in the page-

    Which is not supported. You should choose a layout that is the text box where you want it.

    Click on the Options button in the toolbar, and then select a layout that has a text more large field or to another post.

  • Automatically put the cursor in the text box to start

    Hi guys

    On the picture below you can see a small piece of my FP. It is a part of a bigger FP for a pretty huge electronics test. Each PCB got its own series number of barcode. I have a drive that is connected to my keyboard. Then when I read the code bar, numbers will appear in the text box on my FP, IF i first click on the text box. Then the user must only press START to do the test. My problem, or wish, if you like, is that when the program starts, or a test has completed, the cursor/marker is placed in the text box, so I just have to read bar codes.

    Currently, the user must click in the text box before you read the code bar. Is it possible that this can be done by Labview?

    I n node property checked yet, because I'm busy to something else right now at work. Just write in my break.

    Thanks for any help!

    PS I would have found the answer in the forum, but I am from Norway, and not all of the language of the computer is easy to translate since I use windows Norwegians. I belive that it is called cursor or marker however.

    Kind regards

    Even

    Hello

    The property node "KeyFocus" attached here brings the cursor automatically in the text box.  Set the "Val (Sgnl)" blank to trigger the event associated with this area of text (if necessary).

    I hope this helps.
