  What is the right way to resize a text box? I read that you are supposed to choose the type, and then hold down the command key, and then change the size. However, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Any thoughts?

  If you want to change the size as well as the box, use the key command key. If you just need to change the dimensions of the bounding box, while leaving the type of the same size (which causes reflow), just hover over a corner and click drag to resize.

• How can I change the size of a text box without moving boxes?

  This is my problem:

  Regularly, I have several text boxes in a row area and need to extend the boxes to display all the text. I used the direct Selection tool to select all the boxes and then use the Middle bounding box handle to drag the boxes longer. When I do this the position of the box moves as well. If I type a number for the height of the boxes, it extends the type.

  How can I make the boxes more time to show all the text without moving the boxes?

  I use Illustrator CC2015 on Windows 7.

  OK, I see now, this is happening to me also. But on a much smaller scale, so did not notice. My Y was pt 178. After scale if has 179.247

  Hi all

  We have designed an interactive pdf with text fields. We need the text fields in a Chinese font. I understand that this cant be done in Indesign (change the police seized in Chinese), I moved the file to Acrobat Pro and used the text property to change the font Simsun but when we try the police is always in English. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

  It will take the user to install the Asian language pack and or traditional Chinese:

  Adobe - Adobe Reader: for Windows: Adobe Reader 11.0.09 - Pack of Asian and extended language font Packs

  When the user attempts to enter Chinese characters, it will invite the user to download if is not already installed. Large unicode fonts get not include for the use of form fields as other fonts are.

  To resize the box, double-click its icon of layer.

  The difference between a text box (aka paragraph Type) and a layer of Type normal, is that for the shape, select the text tool and click where you want the insertion point.  For the latter, you click and drag to make the type box.

  I often work with long pieces of text which is too long to be mounted within a predetermined text box.

  I want to know how much of the text does not appear inside my text box without having to change the size of the text box. Is it possible to do this? Perhaps via the plug-in?

  If there is more text that take place inside a text box object, the output port of the object will be displayed as a red + sign. Select the object with the selection tool. Click on the red + and the pointer turns into an icon "for the text". Click and drag on an empty space on the artboard, creating a new text object containing the text to overflow. • Font change when I do a transparent text box

  Hi all

  I've been using Captivate 4 for over a year and come across a strange event.

  When I change a background color, a type of box caption text such as the style, and blue, adobe pop - up etc, transparent, fonts adobe type change what I initially had, and I cannot restore.

  For example I use Verdana 12 black in blue adobe legend. When I change this transparent font style something else, even if the application has always said the police is Verdana 12 black. It is very obvious that this is another font Verdana as the other text on the slide that has not been changed to transparent seems very different from the police of transparent text box.

  This font looks nothing like Verdana as it is smaller and thicker; It looks like Arial Black, if it is not quite that.

  This change happens when I use a box of text on its own or combined with a roll text box more slidelet.

  Does anyone have an idea what is happening, and I should post this bug fixes?

  Why not copy all in a new document.

  Save this document.

  Then use file > Place and place it as a link to inDesign.

  You can then place twice and use the framework to cut out the parts you don't need.

  What problems are you having with the arrow? You go to Tools-> annotate-> arrow and an arrow appears. Then you can drag around the head and tail to make it to the desired location.

  I have created a few blank invitations and want my end users to be able to type in their personal information.  I know that I can specify a font for them, but is it possible that they could change the name of the font, size and color in Acrobat Reader?  I wish they have this option and thought that he was allowed in earlier versions of the player, but I cannot understand.  Thank you!

  Yes, it is possible. Under the text field properties, go to the Options tab and check the box 'allow Rich Text Formatting'.

  The user will then be able to specify different options in formatting drive, using the properties bar.
