For a Web server network settings

This is probably a simple question and im overlookign something small, Id apreciate any help so I can stop pulling my hair out!

I'm trying to run a Web server in an os (linux) comments on VM server 2.0 on a windows host operating system 7.

I put the IP address of the guest as 192.168.99.99/255.255.255.0 os

Ifconfig from inside the guest OS check that this is correctly set.

I updated the VMnet1 subnet 192.168.99.0/255.255.255.0

I have configured the '1 network card' under the material as 'host-only' (vmnet1)

from my host OS, I can ping 192.168.99.1

but when I ping 192.168.99.99 it can not reach it.

I missed something?

Firewall is a typical cuplrit. The guest can ping the host? If you have made any changes to the networking on the host, you have rebooted the host VMware Agent service? You do not have any other virtual machines on the same host with double MAC addresses have (produced by copying the VMs system)?

  • How to change the local IP on the virtual NETWORK adapter for Web server address

    Hi all

I have a physical Windows system, on which I run VMware Workstation 9. Now on VMware I run Ubuntu 12.10 a LAMP for a Web server.
    Problem:
Now, my local IP address for my NETWORK card virtual (using the Ubuntu one) at the address 192.168.159.7 and my router only emits the 10.0.0.x range IP addresses. So if I want to port forward to the virtual NETWORK adapter that has a 192.168 address, I can't, so my LAMP Web server are not accessible to the outside because the router does not send packets on port 80 to the virtual card... How to fix this?
The only way I guess that is to be assigned an ip address of 10.0.0.x to the virtual NETWORK adapter?
But how do I do this?
I tried to do it on the host from the Windows machine with "get my IP address automatically", but she emits an 192.168 address every time...
    Thank you

    Welcome to the community,

I guess that the virtual computer is currently configured to "NAT" or "Host-Only' networking! That would explain the 192.168.x.x IP address.

There are 2 options to be able to access the web server on the virtual computer.

    1. with "NAT" network configured

In this case forward port 80 to the IP address of the host and configure the port forwarding on the virtual computer in the "Virtual Network Editor. This way you can leave the IP address on the private network of 192 (if it is currently set to NAT)

    2. use "Bridged" network layout

Reconfigure the virtual NETWORK adapter to the machine virtual networking "Bridged" within the parameters of the virtual machine, assign an IP address from your router network (10.x.x.x) and do the port forwarding on the router directly to the IP address of the virtual machine.

    Try a Restore Factory Settings.

If this does not work, go to the Help Menu and do a Soft Reset. (Don't do the hard reset).

  • How to find the type of Web server is configured for use with ColdFusion

    Hello

Where can I check to see what kind of server that ColdFusion is configured to run currently? I have an existing CF installation 9.0.1, which I'll be removing and installing CF 9.0.2. During the instalation of the 9.0.2 version I would need to specify the server to use - Server ColdFusion / Apache / IIS etc. My question is, where I see in CF 9.0.1 existing to understand the server that is currently being used.

    Thank you!

You can use the Web Server Configuration tool. Assuming you are on Windows, the path to start is generally

    Start-online programs-online Adobe-ColdFusion 9 online-online Configuratiol tool for the Web server

In fact, you can use this tool to add or remove web servers.

  • External DNS & IP network settings?

    OS X 10.10.5

    Server 5.0.15

I have several problems with my services, and, while I thought I put in place correctly, all signs point to DNS problems.

For reference, here's my simple setup with IPs (my external IP is obviously false):

Modem > router (Apple TC) > Server (Mac Mini)

    1.2.3.4 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.100 *.

In the DNS of Server.app Panel, the State says:

Status: (8) the value your network 1.2.3.4 DNS settings to use this server

    That doesn't seem fair.

In the airport settings, the DNS server is 192.168.1.100.

In my server network settings, it is set to 127.0.0.1.

Everything * looks * right, but I'll have questions left and right with (WebDAV) file sharing, user and management group (with and without Open Directory), etc. etc. etc.

Fortunately the websites is working very well.

    Can you make suggestions?

    * There are duplicate ethernet (virtual hosts) services with IPs ending par.10.11,.19,.20,.29,.30 et.39

Are you sure that you have configured the Apple Time Capsule to be in router mode? You want the WAN port, i.e. the lower hole of the Capsule of time connected to the modem and the time Capsule set on ' router Mode: DHCP and NAT'.

The server will probably be on Ethernet and must be connected to one of the LAN ports on the Time Capsule or via a switch connected to one of the ports LAN on the Time Capsule.

You must configure the DHCP server in ad time Capsule the 192.168.1.100 your server as DNS server address.

Maybe you have not configured the DHCP server on the Time Capsule, so it may still be using the default settings and therefore advertising address of the modem.

  • LabView 2009 Web server crash

    Hi all!

Here's a simple VI containing any control, functions or library in LabView 2009 f3.

Web server settings are default. After the tools-> operation of another PC Web publishing tool we are connecting to this Panel (IE6 for example) and put a finger to the F5 not lifting.

Web page with the VI is very refreshing.

    There are 3 results.

    1. in DevEnv: LabView die.

    2. in DevEnv: need to restart LabView for charging Web server and restore connection.

    3. in App.exe: die

    4. in App.exe: LabView interpreter loose some time-cycles in the cases where they exist, but connection stored.

    5. in App.exe: but lost connection application work.

Is this normal? Are there settings in Web server to avoid this situation.

  • HP Laserjet M606x: Disable the option 'Print' in the built-in Web server

I am testing a new HP Laserjet M606 device and to disable the option 'Print' which is displayed in the 'Information' tab in the built-in webserver (EWS). I have a firewall turned on, turned off wireless printing, FTP, AirPrint, Web Services, PPI and independent producers is also disabled. HP Jetdirect XML service is also disabled. I have crossed most of the EWS settings and configuration options in JetAdmin and did not find an option to turn this feature off.

The device will be located in a public place and will have a reserved/static IP address (DHCP reserved). We charge for services to the end-users of printing - having this option turned on means that users can print for free if they find the IP address of the printer - not an ideal situation.

Is it possible to disable this option permanently? The only other solution is to disable EWS entirely, if possible.

To be a little more specific in the built-in web server click the Security tab. Now scroll down until you find the section for embedded web server settings. I was watching who had enough current firmware in the machine there is a checkbox to enable or disable the option for printing on the information page.

  • Upgrading to 4 Fusion and now I can't access the web server on my Mac host

I am running OS x 10.6.8 and I'm hosting a virtual machine running windows XP, using NAT Networking. I have a web server running on the mac I need to access from the hosted virtual machine. I used to be able to just use the IP address of the gateway in the virtual machine for the web server, but it doesn't seem to work. If I set the external IP address of the mac it seems to work, but I don't have a static IP address, so it is a pain to update every hour.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

Although in some cases, the IP address of the gateway works, nevertheless IMO that is a misuse and should use the address IP of VMware NAT Virtual Ethernet adapter IP address the host not IP address of gateway.

If in a Terminal, run the following command:

    ifconfig | grep -A 3 vmnet8

Then use the address after "inet" IP said at the exit.

    Example on my system:

Last login: Mon Jan 16 12:43:00 on ttys000
    Computer:~ WKZ$ ifconfig | grep -A 3 vmnet8
    vmnet8: flags=8863 mtu 1500
        ether 00:50:56:c0:00:08
        inet 172.16.198.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 172.16.198.255
    Computer:~ WKZ$

So I use 172.16.198.1 of the prompt or use the host name of the Mac (without the .local) after the addition of 172.16.198.1 and the hostname of the Mac to the guest hosts file.

  • Info general solution on Internet interface with active web server on microcontroller (Ethernet)

My intention is to have the on-Board Unit (ATMEGA32) located in a remote place, somewhere over the internet (connected via Ethernet) connected (via CANBUS) for the fuel cell system for the measurement data (current and the temperature of the fuel cell).
The end user and/or client must be able to display these data acquired via the browser on the internet. The main objective of this project is to prevent any pc dedicated as a simple web server, so I would like to know your general solutions.
(I noticed that I can't impelent a web server on this microcontroller, but how do I set the GUI to display data on the browser for users?-I want to say I'm not accurate if the designed GUI (LabVIEW or c SHARP) must be in the internet (solution host & domain) or there are better solutions for her.)

If you have a solution for the web server on the microcontroller and are convinced that architecture will work, it seems that your question is how to write a client for data.

Some of the things you're talking about sounds like you want the web server on the microcontroller to respond to a fully functional GUI to any client. This may not be practical because of the computing power limited on the microcontroller and the difficulty of setting up and maintaining this type of server in a microcontroller environment.

A more common architecture that I've seen is just to serve the raw data and let the client user to interpret the data and display them as graphics, etc., this means that the user must Access the microcontroller of a computer running a client that you make.

You can use the communication/protocols/http client in labview palette or you can write a c# client that it is really a question of what data you need to acquire, and what language you are most comfortable in.

  • NEITHER Application Web server refuses to be activated

I am trying to deploy a web service in LabVIEW 2010 and it fails to deploy in saying that the Web of Application service OR work...

If I connect to http://localhost:3580, log in as Admin (empty password) and click on the page of web servers. I put the server to Application Web 8080 port, click on the check box turn on... then click apply - and the only thing that happens is that the browser displays the error on the page symbol in the status bar... There is not 'yes', showing next to the Enable checkbox for the web server of the system...

So - if I start again from zero and do the same thing, but also click the 32-bit option button before hitting the button apply - what is happening? Well, I get an error dialog box:

The service itself (32-bit, 64-bit is registered but not also started) runs according to the services control panel...

I'm stuck... If anyone knows what is missing here, is there something I am doing wrong, or something that must be done before activating the application service?

Uninstalling and reinstalling 32-bit LabVIEW 2010 on two different computers revealed that the problem appeared only on my Vista 64 bits - not the Windows 7 32-bit macine macine...

By looking at the services that are running on the machine with the problem that I could see that he was running the 32-bit version of the application Web server, had a 64-bit installed but disabled--but--only the latter has been fixed to depend on the Web Server service of NOR. This seemed a bit strange that the 32-bit version on the 32-bit computer was dependent on the Web server of OR...

So - I disabled the 32 bit Server Web Application service OR, turned on the 64-bit... and - I am now able to configure the Web application server to start.

Why so the 32 and 64-bit application Web services installed, with only 32 bit one running-, but not properly? This happens to everyone, but everyone arranges it by opting for the 64-bit version... or is there something that causes the installation get messed up?
