  Evening ladies and gentlemen.

  I installed an update for my HP Pavilion dv6-1129tx Entertainment Notebook PC today (see details below). Against my better judgment I thought having the latest version of the BIOS might be a good idea, even if my laptop worked fine as-is.

  After update BIOS F.24 I now have the following questions:

  (1) when the display on the laptop turns off due to being slowed down 20 minutes, he don't come back now. If I press any key to wake up, he will the internal speaker beep. As soon as I press power it turns directly to the output instantly.

  (2) I can restart is no longer. The portable computer shuts down normally, but when he tries to go back on it starts, but windows is not loaded and it just hangs. I have to turn off by pressing the power button, then turn it back on.

  I installed it just this afternoon and I am posting this a few hours later, so I don't have time to notice other problems of performance after the update.

  Long story short, does anyone know or have the original BIOS for my laptop (sp43821)? Or has someone at - it had the same problem and found a solution?

• Maximum RAM for notebook DV7-4000 series?

  I have a laptop ' HP Pavilion dv7-4000 Select Edition Entertainment Notebook PC ' 4 years ago (2010), model WA357AV.  Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit with Intel core i5 M450 @ 2.4 GHz and 6 GB of Ram.

  What is the maximum size of RAM so I wanted to update?  I can go up to 16 GB with 2 8 GB cards? It is important that the current memory cards are "unbalanced" because I have a 4 GB card and a 2GB card when I always read both should be the same for the 'best performance '.  If "unbalanced" is OK, I might consider replacing just the 2 GB card with 8 GB, send me some 8 + 4 = 12 GB which would be obviously cheaper.

  Max ram with the processor of your model is 8 GB (2 x 4 GB).

  It's well run 4 GB + 2 GB but the memory does not work in DDR mode achieve higher.

  Replace the 2 GB chip with a 4 GB chip.

  That's the best you can do.

  I am studying using YouTube videos and decided to try the "notebook" because I wanted to take notes.

  But I'm not that fast of a typist and have pause videos repeatedly to write my notes.
  So, I have to click play to get them going again.

  Is there a way to make the notebook perform like a sticker or popout?

  Notepad is not this kind of functionality, I'm afraid.

  What you can do is to resize your browser window and shrink down so that you see only the part of the screen that shows the YouTube video.  In another part of the screen, you can have a Notepad window, so you should be able to have open and visible at the same time.

  If you are unsure on how to resize windows, please see this link.  Or you can do a YouTube search for "minimize windows optimize resize" and there should be some tutorials here.

  I recently bought a laptop ENVY (13 '') and tried to use a Kensington lock I had already used for another laptop brand even, but it does not work on the DESIRE.  I can insert the lock into the notebook, but it cannot become to lock.  I think the DESIRE is much thinner and so did not enough room for the lock be upright during the lock and remove the key to the other end.   I asked the COMPUTER stores in my area and no one can help you.  I read the manual of the DESIRE, and it is told to use a Kensington lock, but does not specify the model number of the Kensington lock.   I hope someone can help me with this problem.

• Power notebook Quickdock

  I recently bought a quickdock for my HP Pavilion laptop dv7 and was disappointed that it came with its own AC adapter but necessary I use the computer (kind of defeated the purpose).  However, I have recently acquired an adapter from another machine of HP and I was wondering if I could use it to power my quickdock and so my laptop dv7.  Here are the details:

  dv7 adapter: #463552-002 (18.5V @ 3.5 A, 65W)

  new adapter: #608428-003 (19V @ 4. 74 a, 90 W)

  It does not appear that it would be compatible (in fact, it seems that it could damage my laptop), but it of an HP adapter and fit the plug on the quickdock.

  1. for the tension: equipment normally accepts more/less than 5% so 18.5V or 19V are ok.

  2. for wattage: power supply of a higher power (also for ampere) is much better, so the 90W is ok.

  With about a month to guarantee rest yet, I was wondering if I could get a replacement for laptop to my HP ProBook 4530 s.

  When I got it, it's in very good condition, after almost a year of use, the optical dvd player case is sometimes a bit loose and one of the keys on the keyboard relaxes and I would have to fix it and hang it in the keyboard frequently. In addition, sometimes one or two of the USB Hubs would not read my flash drive but other ports would be strange. While this is happening in only a few flash drives and all 4 USB Hubs are still functional. Finally, sometimes my laptop keyboard may lock up randomly but my mouse pad would continue to operate, which means that I have to restart the laptop to make it work again. Even after installing the updates and even Flash my BIOS, I always have this problem from time to time during the execution of certain applications, including the computer games from Valve, but never expericened before running programs. This problem would happen frequently as well. I was wondering if all these problems would be enough to get a replacement. Thank you.

• Solid State Drive (SSD) for notebook 1160us dm4, a SATA II or SATAIII?

  I would go to an SSD and I was wondering if this laptop supports SATA III or 6 GB/s transfer rate. The HARD disk that is in a Seagate ST9500420AS ATA and research shows that he has a transfer rate of 3 gb/s. I don't know if I should buy an SSD is 6 GB/s or 3 Gbps. don't know if the motherboard supports (SATAIII / 6 GB/s)?

  Thoughts? Someone has upgraded to SSD s. Also, how / what did you use to transfer the old drive or you just reinstall Windows 7?

  1. most likely, it is a SATA II controller. You can use the following program to check:

  (In my case, the controller is a SATA III).

  2. I normally have "clone" of the HARD drive, this will save a lot of time to reinstall many things. I use a product called O & O DiskImage to perform this work, very fast and the success rate of 100%. A small note: you need a larger SSD (capacity) than the drive that you want to clone - normally C:. You can try this free product:

  You have the problem if you connect an external keyboard? If the external keyboard works, I remove the keyboard and look at the part number and then search on eBay, Amazon etc. Do not do this if your machine is under warranty. Contact the HP customer if it's still under warranty.

  Graphics AMD Radeon HD 3200 card.

  and the minimum requirements for Diablo III are:

  Preferably, I would like to be able to run the game on average or better settings. Is it useful to upgrade this laptop even though it is a little older? Thanks for any advice.

  Basically, a complete motherboard Exchange should update the video.

  The processor can probably be updated to one of those listed in Chapter 1.

  The costs attendant when you run an upgrade card mother processor and swap, in my opinion, would exceed the cost of buying a new computer laptop with what you want in it, if you were to your trade (some stores offer up to $200 for the times) or sell it.
