Problems after "WinFlash BIOS (for notebooks with Intel processors)" HP Pavilion dv6-1129tx

Evening ladies and gentlemen.

I installed an update for my HP Pavilion dv6-1129tx Entertainment Notebook PC today (see details below). Against my better judgment I thought having the latest version of the BIOS might be a good idea, even if my laptop worked fine as-is.

After update BIOS F.24 I now have the following questions:

(1) when the display on the laptop turns off due to being slowed down 20 minutes, he don't come back now. If I press any key to wake up, he will the internal speaker beep. As soon as I press power it turns directly to the output instantly.

(2) I can restart is no longer. The portable computer shuts down normally, but when he tries to go back on it starts, but windows is not loaded and it just hangs. I have to turn off by pressing the power button, then turn it back on.

I installed it just this afternoon and I am posting this a few hours later, so I don't have time to notice other problems of performance after the update.

Long story short, does anyone know or have the original BIOS for my laptop (sp43821)? Or has someone at - it had the same problem and found a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure what's going on here, but here is a suggestion on how to properly install manually the update of the BIOS.

Assume that you download SP26760.exe (BIOS 3.28)

Start the update - go to the last message you get before it fails and stop. (must be where it prompts you to close the applications and will be saved).

Open a DOS (command prompt).    You must be an administrator - so if you're running Vista or Win7 - make sure that 'run as administrator ' at the opening of the box.

    Once in the BACK, type:

    CD FOLDER

go the the directory of temporary files.

    Then make a

    DIR /S 328.LE ROM

to find the directory where the update files are located.    Type CD < directory name > to go in this directory (on my system, it was a folder called pft467D.tmp, but it might be different on your)

    CD pft467D.tmp

Now manually invoke (the prompt back, no windows or the windows file manager) the update, with the appropriate switches.  By omitting the switches can cause other problems, as have reported activation of Windows problems.

    AFUWIN /i328. ROM /pbc

For reference, on my system, here's what I saw in these folders:

    C:\Users\sumsolstice\AppData\Local\Temp\pft467D.tmp > dir

Volume in drive C is DRIVE_C
    Volume serial number is FE8F-4AA6

It should work OK, however no guarantee if there's something else - but essentially - that's what the installer should do.   If this does not work for you - I wouldn't try to force things - you can make a good motherboard unusable quickly.

For those who are looking to this announcement - the syntax is for this motherboard only - switches may be different for different motherboards.

    Good luck.!

  • Having problems connecting iPhone 6s for iMac with OS Lion

    Hi all.

I have an iPhone 6s and a mid-2011 iMac that is still running on OS Lion. When I connect my iPhone, I get the message "the iPhone is useless because it requires a newer version of iTunes." So I checked that, and I am running the latest version. When I open iTunes, I do not see my camera, and all the menu options of synchronization are gray.

We were reluctant to upgrade to El Capitan because of negative comments about iPhoto (specifically, how the upgrade removes all events that we named so laboriously since we bought the iMac). We just bought more RAM for our machine (which can contain 16; we currently have 4 and we'll be adding more 8) due to the frequent occurrence of the rotation color wheel.

Any ideas on the cause of the iTunes/iPhone/iMac problem or how to fix it?

    Thank you!

You are running the latest version of iTunes that your Mac can run on your current OS X, however, is not the latest version of iTunes. 12.2.x is required for synchronization with any device running iOS 9. It is iOS that requires the latest version of iTunes, not the type of device.

Sorry, but you need to update your OS X in order to be able to download the latest version of iTunes, which is 12.3.2.35

    Sorry

  • RAM upgrade problem: Flash the BIOS? or upgrade the processor?

Hi, I jumped in with both feet and now need help to get out me!

I have a desktop PC HP Pavilion Elite HPE-470uk who becomes a bit slow (processor card here http://ark.intel.com/products/48505/Intel-Core-i3-550-Processor-4M-Cache-3_20-GHz). After you have added a bluray player that I noticed that it's getting a bit slow so thought I would add little RAM.

I bought a few Hyper X8GB of HyperXbeast 1600hhz, slipped in and the PC did nothing but to turn on and off several times. I checked the two sticks and they both do it. I then (plow in front) checked what memory, the processor can handle and discovered "The Intel® Core™ i3 - 5xx / Intel® Core™ i3-21xx processors handle memory DDR3 1066/1333 MHz" by http://www.intel.com/support/processors/corei3/sb/CS-031175.htm

After a discussion on another forum, that it has been suggested that I have updated the BIOS because it can allow the processor to manage memory 1600 mhz, but I don't know where to start on this or what version to selected download. I'd appreciate any help you can offer on this.

The other way, that I can see is to update the processor itself. I thought of nothing too fancy just an i5 because it will allow me to run 3d blurays and should allow me to run some apps at the same time. After reading this http://m.wikihow.com/Upgrade-a-Processor it seems too complicated. Is it really just a matter of taking off the fan, declipsant the old processor, nine droping in and then put on some cooling stick stuff?

Or should I just return the memory and get good memory?

    See you soon

    Atdot.

Here are the specifications of original factory for your desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-470uk and its card mother MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E). Based on these specifications, this model can support up to 16 GB (4 GB x 4 DIMMs) as follows:

    Dual channel memory architecture
Four DDR3 DIMM sockets (240 pin)
    PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)
    PC3-8500 (DDR3-1066)
    Memory non - ECC, unbuffered
Supports up to 16 GB on 64 bit computers

    In addition, this model can support the following Intel processors;

Maximum frequency of the processor of the heart < = 2.93GHz
    Intel Core i7 - 8xx (Lynnfield core)
    Intel Core i5 - 7xx (Lynnfield core)
    Intel Core i5 - 6xx (Clarkdale core)
    Intel Core i3 - 5xx (Clarkdale core)

If you do not have to worry about the update of the BIOS, there is no updates available for your computer BIOS. Honestly, I return the incorrect memory and upgrade to a minimum of 8 GB of RAM. Then, if it solves all your problems, you could also upgrade the processor.

As the computer is nearly 4 years old, you can consider a factory HP restore to return the computer to a facoty as State. In many cases, it returns original full speed of the computer. The reason why this helps, because the BONE is swollen and clogged over time.

  • Problems with the DVD on Pavilion dv6-2010sa

HP Pavilion dv6-2010sa laptop computer (under Windows 7 x 64), I bought less than a week ago.

I started the disk recovery software to back up my OS in the event of future disasters.

I used a DVD + disc, so it would take 3 discs to do the recovery disks.

First DVD completed successfully. Software asked me to enter the disk 2.

This is where I started to have problems.

Drive recovery software couldn't recognize my blank dvd +.

The drive makes a lot of noise, but then stopped making noise.

I tried a few other DVDs +, but to no avail.

I rebooted the computer laptop and tried but same problem.

So I tried to play a dvd movie to see if it was the disk recovery software or the dvd player.

He would not play a dvd movie.

I also tried to play an audio CD but the same problem.

The drive icon appears in Windows Explorer, but does not display any info (or open the CD / DVD) when I have a CD or a DVD in there.

So it seems to be a problem with the DVD-> grateful not any CD / DVD

    If someone can advise?

PS. I searched the driver DVD (so I could Reinstall driver) but the HP Web site does not contain the driver for 2010sa (DVD software only)

    Thanks in advance

    Gary

    Problem solved.

    Uninstall the device dvd player:

-Device Manager > do a right-click post dvd/cd player > uninstall the device

Restart the laptop and OS will reinstall the driver and the DVD/CD drive should start working again (well this is what has happened to me)

  • HP Pavilion DV6 3122TX: updated the BIOS F.29 don't switch HP Pavilion DV6 3122TX Ati graphics card

    Hello

I have HP Pavilion DV6 3122TX and recently I was updating my drivers and software from the HP Web site for my laptop. Everything was done smoothly. As I updated my BIOS, I noticed that I was not able to switch between ATI Radeon 5650 and Intel HD Graphics, then I was also shocked that he wasn't showing a charger plugged into icon too. Although the battery was charging but didn't show any icon for it. I am running Windows 7. After a few days, my battery was went wrong and was not in charge. I bought the new battery from HP Store for my laptop, and then after a few days now he is dying too. My computer laptop suddenly stops on about 30% of battery remaining and battery does not charge. I arranged another charger and plugged, but once more. I gave the laptop to the service center local and got NO from them as well. They couldn't find the problem. After a lot of research and reading messages HP, I finally understood that it was the problem with the BIOS Update and Windows 7. So, out of curiosity, I installed Linux RedHat 6 on windows 7 and everything was OK. But I am a graphic designer for Linux is not a good choice for me. I want to just restore my BIOS in its original version of the default BIOS. Please kindly help me to get my original BIOS. I tried everything on my hand. I also ask HP to the original versions of the drivers like BIOS on its Internet site. My laptop is dying. Please, Experts, I need your kind assisstence. Thanks in advance

Create the key USB HP Diagnostics of material 3-in-1 PC and boot to it.

If you updated the BIOS from the old version will still be in a folder of your operating system. Use the method I proposed to get it back.

If you are unable to read the instructions on the web page of Diagnostics of material for the HP PC, then I suggest that you pay someone to do it and create the flash drive for you.

  • Software that came with my laptop HP Pavilion dv6-7013n entertainment

I have recently upgraded to Windows 10.  For various reasons, I had to reset my PC and lost all the Applications of software that came with the laptop.  Is there anyway I can recover some or all of these applications and run them on Windows 10?

    Hello

I can't find "HP Pavilion dv6-7013n" anywhere, but it can be very similar to the following machine:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03331719

There are a lot of elements in the list, you can search and download EXCEPT Microsoft Office Starter. 10 Windows will remove it not compatible and you won't be able to re-intall of any source.

Please note: all are compatible with Windows 10.

  • Equium A60-157, problem after update BIOS 1.90

    Hi all!

I've had my Toshiba Equium A60-157 for two months. I've updated the my bios twice. First of 1.70 to 1.8 C and from 1.8 to the current 1.90 (common at the time I made this post).

I noticed that as soon as I used my recovery DVDs to restore the laptop to the default constructor, I had a problem with the main user account that is normally created after the completion of the recovery strategy.

Whenever Windows would open a session after the recovery account generated, a popup would display a message similar to the following:

"Windows can not load the profile and connects you with a temporary profile." No changes will be saved. "

He also said that this problem was maybe due to incorrect permissions, or something like that. The pop-up window also contained a 30-second countdown before opening in windows with the temporary profile. As indicated by the pop-message no changes would be recorded. I could even change my user account image.

I ran it again the DVD of recovery only to get the same problem. This NEVER happened when I ran on the original bios 1.70, bios recovery DVD AND 1.8 c.

Anyway I came up with a solution to this problem, which only caused me no problem at the present time.

I just logged into Windows mode without failure, entered the account administrator, created a new account and deleted the account of departure (created at the end of the recovery program).

So far, the user account-wise, everything back to normal.

If the recovery strategy or the bios did not cause this problem, I would be grateful if someone could give me some possibilities of doing just that.

I don't want to get updates of bios from 5-10 down the road, only to find out that my recovery DVD does not work.

Fact the DVD should be updated as well as the recovery bios?

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi, Conrad

Can you please tell me why you do the updates to the BIOS? Have you had any problems? I use my unit for close to two years and I didn t make any BIOS update so far. If everything works well, it is not necessary to do an update with the exception of some Microsoft updates that make the OS more secure. Don t do any update if it is not necessary.

In any case, I am very confused with your question. Normally, Recovery DVD should not be updated. The BIOS updates are useful if there is a hardware conflict or a problem and not a problem using the operating system or any software.

It will be interesting to know why you're doing the recovery procedure each time after BIOS update.

  • Problems after update BIOS on Satellite Pro 4600

There is a problem with the computer toshiba laptop. its the fact do not install any windows OS after the Installer starts running xp there is an error message that says that the drivers of setupdd.sys could not be loaded (error code 14)

I tried with different CDs with the same error, so I tried the procedure of the ghost image, but all in vain after reboot it is with an error that requires a kernel dll could not be found that I even used a cool ghost image but the same error.

In fact, I upgraded the bios to a worm recent 2.60 it was beautiful, he started twice and has been used for several hours. the update was suuccesful up and running. It all started when we placed a kingston flash drive in the USB after it was working very well we copied a simple document on drive d, nothing else, it worked for half an hour. After I stopped, and then it was late at night when I started the system fine.i was listening to a song after that, he displayed the error messge system32 driver pci.sys damaged or missed.

Then I tried everything I knew in windows xp to boot with xp cd and... etc I also formatted the hard drive to try to win98 installation gave an error also, external error to msdos, I think it's the update of the bios that is problem because windows 2000 Professional installation gave a very specific error. BIOS not fully ACPI compatible after pressing F7 in the installer of windows xp the feature ACPI went silent and requested installation good, but during the formatting the drive but it stopped with an error that the disc hard cannot be formatted.

It's a week now. you have the previous bios file with you maybe which would solve the problem or other.
Please guide me. I went on toshibas website 25 - 30 times but they do not have the previous bios except the last ver2.60 file

    Hi Usman

The problem is that you can't roll back BIOS to the previous version. Just service partner chartered Toshiba for this special tool.

  • Recovery process of the BIOS for HP with AMI BIOS systems?

    Hello

I'm trying to fix a HP model a6718uk PC that has a motherboard M2N78 - LA and i think and AMI BIOS.  An update of the BIOS that came through HP Update failed, and the machine does not start.

As it is out of warranty, the HP repair center want to £200.00 to solve this problem, although a simple BIOS recovery process should be enough - does anyone know the process for these systems BIOS recovery?   Everything I've read (not specific to these commissions) says that you should be able to update the BIOS (called AMIBOOT. ROM) on a diskette, CD or USB memory stick and start by pressing Ctrl-Home and it will perform the recovery, but I was not able to get this to work successfully.  HP provide a stand-alone update, so I extracted the file to update the SP.exe BIOS on the HP support site.

Any help would be most appreciated!

    See you soon,.

    Andrew

    Hi André,.

I wonder if HP change bootlock bios and it does not seek to the AMIBOOT.ROM.  It may be interesting to try AMIBOOT. BIN just in case.

The link below is a link to a free hex editor, open the bios with this file and you should be able to see the extension will look for the bios.

just a quick note, everything seems to work fine, just this error msg, which made my nut in :D

    Hello

Seems that the app is loading at the beginning that creates this message.
You should check the msconfing (in RUN type msconfig and go to the Startup tab)
There, you can check what applications are mentioned.

You can also try to clean the registry with CCleaner. This tool is free and scans the registry and removes garbage from registry

  • Satellite P870 - 026 Win 8.1 - no screen mirror for TV with Intel WiDi

I followed Windows procedures to mirror my Satellite P870-026 screen to a new TV Samsun with mirroring capability.

The process is under the menu of charms and then select devices, project, add a wireless display. The first few times I tried, he finds the TV, but it usually came with the message "no device found".

If she found the TV there no project screen of the laptop computer and the connection quickly abandon themselves. Now, he never finds the TV.

My phone Galaxy S3 connects and reflects its screen very quickly and is a stable connection, so the TV works fine. The TV is the current model of Samsung UA60H7000AW.

I understand that the issue could be the graphics drivers, I updated the Intel HD Graphics 4000 drivers but that did nothing.

I downloaded "Intel (r) WiDi Update Tool.exe", but it does not work. An error message says "Unable to launch due to network connectivity problem". I don't know what its means I have never wrong with WiFi.

I found a suggestion on the internet, but carrying on another computer and has been to remove and reinstall graphics drivers, but he also warned of the need to be very careful.

I'm not even in the right track to looking like the graphics drivers?

    Any suggestions please.

Please check this Toshiba document on the support of the Intel WiDi and 8.1 Win

Intel® Wireless display is no longer supported on Windows 8.1, but you may be able to connect to the external wireless screen, if your computer supports Miracast.
