  Our company OS is Win2k SP4 so this installed on Portege R200 PPR21E but has 2 unknown devices, showing in DM in Intel 82801FBM LPC I / f suite and system compatible ACPI Microsoft and also 'Ethernet controller' even if the Yukon LAN device is installed and running so I guess it must be the Wlan a, although Ive tried what it points to all the drivers wlan for this model to no joy. Ive tried all the drivers from the Tosh site but some installation for XP usually not w2k. Ive tried the Intel Chipset utility to no joy. Anyone got any ideas? It is possible that this model is not compatible W2K?

  The Portégé R200 is designed for Windows XP, so it is fair to assume that some problems may occur when you run W2K.   We did not like the software pre-installed on the image of Toshiba Ulead Movie Factory.

  If yes then I guess this program shipped with the laptop and cannot be installed separately.
  You will use the Toshiba Recovery CD and would like to reinstall the laptop to use this program, either you buy a full version.

  I have a Portege M100 - and the CD-ROM drive does not work.

  Whenever I put a disc in I can just hear the motor turn the disc, but the computer is not picking up the drive. Device Manager picks up flawless.

  It doesn't seem to be any firmware for this sorting (or am I wrong).

  I've seen a DVD player for a M400 on ebay and I was wondering if that would take on my M100.

  Before buying it, I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be compatible. It seems to be OK size wise, but I was wondering if my Portege M100 XP would be able to use it.

  I agree with you, santhi_G. I checked the site Web of Toshiba Portege R200 drivers and there is no available drivers for Windows 7 or Vista same. Only XP and Windows 2000 is supported. :(

  I m not 100% sure but I think Toshiba will not Vista drivers for the small, tiny booklet.
  Further, I think that the book is not Vista capable
