Force nearby mystery APA each Power On

Hi all

I have 822_SG build I bought in Singapore.  Since I did the 1st and the system update only to 822, I have a recurring problem "force close".  It makes me crazy, because I can't understand what app is causing the problem.  This is the error message:

"The application FaceService (process com.arcsoft.faceservice) has stopped unexpectedly.  Please try again"it happens once, I click on" force close "at the bottom of the same error bar.  It goes away, then comes back once more.  Same force close.  Then it went until I turn on again.

First of all, is it a problem of "app", or something else?

Second, what to do?

I had to remove and re-install many apps after the build 822 so I'm kind of tired of guess.

Thank you.

JW

There is a service that tracks called faceservice.    If you go to your applications in the config and then manage applications, you should see this class.  I don't know if you can remove it, but if you can then I go ahead and do it or he may be an option to wipe data and cache.  I think that this has something to do with the recognition of faces and is not necessary to have installed.

I do not have my K1 tell you the exact steps or the name of the application.

  • Pavilion m6 - stop suddenly and mystery of the power cord

    Hi people,

I got a very strange problem with my laptop from m6-1035dx Pavilion the past two days. This is a reconditioned unit and have had some problems with it in the past (both hardware and software-related) that I managed to fix me, but this one left me speechless.

It started yesterday when the computer was placed on a bed (with a CoolerMaster pad below, which I almost never separate the portable device) and immediately turn off the power. In the past, I had problems with heat stops, that I solved with a bit of air in canned and CoolerMaster pad said, so I don't think much. But the same thing happened today, and I noticed that when it has restarted, it does not recognize the fact that the computer is plugged in. Unplugged the cord/AC converter to three points (computer, converter, wall) and tried again, still nothing. Tried another outlet, blew the vents, power off and removed/re-inserted battery, still no recognition of the power. I reinstalled HP CoolSense (which I had removed several months before) and hope that would take care of things. Meanwhile, I shut the computer off again, and the LED power indicator lit on its own.

Several hours later, the computer was reactivated and placed on a flat surface. Someone tripping over the cord, and the computer turns off again. The LED power indicator is out once more, so I unplugged the power cord and left for a few minutes. Blocked again, and the power was back.

I am reasonably confident that I should replace the power cord at this point, but I want expert advice before I commit the money that him. It may also be interesting to note that while the power cord did not work, the battery (92%) had about two hours and six minutes of use remaining, which is well below the advertised battery capacity (to be noted that only Chrome was running at the time) and what I saw of the battery in the past. I think that the cable or converter can be shorted, then is it safe to use the computer at all? Wouldn't be a good idea to replace the battery as well? I will provide any other details if necessary and thank you in advance for any help or advice.

    Hi maestro35,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that you are having feeding problems with your Pavilion m6. I'll be happy to help you with this. If it is running with the battery, I wouldn't worry about the replacement of the battery quite yet. As for the fact that it gives you less time announced that it could be the mere fact that the battery life decreases over time. You don't mention your operating system, this is why I have included two links below which will allow you to test and calibrate the battery. This will confirm that the battery is working properly.

Test and calibrate the battery (Windows 7)

Test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8)

I agree that it appears as if the power cord is the question. If you have a similar cord, you might give it a try to see, but there's a chance it might be the prospects of power supply for laptop. If something is shorted, then you shouldn't really use the laptop but without testing actually physically we will not be able to determine if something is put in short circuit.

    Thank you

  • ENVY 17 t-J100 Leap Motion: keyboard backlit ENVY 17 t-J100 Leap Motion edition shuts down after each power down.

My brother has an ENVY 17 t-J000 Quad Edition. Only about 6 months. Its backlit keyboard remembers its state of on or off when it reboots or off. When he turns on his laptop back, the keyboard is always if it's him on when he turned off the laptop.

I just got the ENVY 17 t-J100 Leap Motion backilt keyboard edition. But every time that I reboot or shutdown with the backlight on, it is turned off when I have the laptop or reset. So whenever I have to re - turn on the backlight. Very annoying.

Anyone else with the jump movement 17 t-J100 having this problem? If so, I hope it's fixed soon. I also can't update the Nvidia drivers then perhaps we need a BIOS update to solve these two problems.

I just checked to be sure. It turns off if the laptop is turned off and turned on then again - but if I just restart the kbd is running.

  • P1102W laser loses connectivity to each power down

I had just updated the firmware. who killed totally printer.  Customer support HP spent 45 minutes with me, lift the printer and current execution, and after that, I was able to print from my iPad 2, which was my goal for the original firmware update attempt.

However, now every time the printer turns off (every 4 minutes), when I turn it back on, he lost all wireless connectivity.  NO MEMBER of the House can print.  This problem was not happening before this fiasco all upgrade.

If I run the wireless setup, I can get to the top and printing again in a few minutes. .. but it's a lot of work to do whenever we want to print

I have Verizon fios and an actiontec modem - but that changed when I did the upgrade of the printer, of course.  It's been stable for more than a year.

    any ideas?

    (oh, XP)

We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). We will use an IP address ending en.250 for your printer (change the last digits of the IP address of origin).
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the bridge and the first DNS. Let the second white.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911a: You need to connect to the network each power on

All of a sudden, I need to connect to my wireless printer, whenever I turn on. I had the printer for several years without having to do that. I have a new router but I got it for a few months. I read something in the documentation on setting up a static IP address, but cannot find a way to do it from the homepage of the printer (EWS).

    Mike

OK, I figured out how to set the dynamic IP printer and remembers that I had put the range extender to be priority in the router, when I took that things started working again.

What great resource is this forum!

  • Problem with the HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer: clean the print heads each time it is turned on

    Hello everyone,

the printer HP all-in-one Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a - product n. CB022A) clean the print heads whenever I turn it on. This problem affects any HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer, it is not a problem only of this one I bought. It is a boring bug and annoying because each power clean print heads on involves two bad disadvantages:

    1. waste of ink (each heads cleaning process consumes little ink);
    2. too much time (2-3 minutes) to prepare the printer after plugging.

I upgraded my printer with the latest firmware available on the HP site (firmware ver. DLM1FN1006BR), but the bug is still present.

    At this point, I ask:

    1. There is a way (or procedure) to disable automatic cleaning this useless to all power on?
    2. Can we communicate with the HP engineers or tell me how to contact directly one of them to indicate the bug and request a new firmware updated?

Please don't tell me to leave the printer on all the time or that the printheads to each cleaning power is normal behavior! Where then are power and ink savings claimed for this printer model?

I hope that a solution to this problem. Thanks in advance to everyone will help me!

Maintenance when the printer is turned on is normal and is required to keep the printheads in good health (not blocked). See here for more information.

With respect to energy savings, the printer automatically goes to low power mode when the don't feel not for awhile.  It is not necessary turn the unit on to save energy.

  • Satellite Pro A60 just lost power

When WinXP Pro said the battery was down to about 9% (ok, I know, I should have plugged the power supply at this time) that appeared dead, lost power completely. The power supply and then began to beep every 2 seconds. I then tried on another laptop and it works, so it's not the power supply - on this other laptop it works with and without the battery, so I think it can be ruled out of being the culprit.

The A60, I have re-insirted the battery that had worked perfectly still taking on fresh 90mins far - no joy. The strange thing is, is that the PSU makes a sound when the battery is in and out of the A60. My questions are:

    (a) the A60 should work without the battery in? in this case, it might be the fault of the laptop itself?
    (b) if he still has the battery, if the battery is "spent" and I need a new?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Simon

Well, to my knowledge, it should be possible to use Notepad:
-with battery and AC adapter plugged in,
-removed the battery and plugged the power adapter
-with battery and AC adapter removed.

Maybe the battery is a little older and the performance of the battery will be slowly decreases.
In addition, you suggested that the laptop is shut down if the battery was about 9%.
In this case, you must check the option of saving power Toshiba-> installation actions
You know that you can configure the actions configuration power saver for each power mode.
I guess there is a chosen action that allows the laptop to close if the critical battery power has been obtained.

I think that a simple change in this setting will clearly be the case

  • HP pavilion a1710n power supply needs replacement.

I have an old HP Pavilion a1710n desktop power supply crashed and burned and needs to be replaced.  I've never been on a power supply on this computer before I upgraded memory and dial-up fans in the past.

I already ran through the list control to full power on this site to confirm that it is food that is broken and needs replacement and no cord or anything else.

I also confirmed what power to order part.  At this point, I just need to see a video of step by step on how to replace the power supply inside the computer tower or read the good strong guidelines for how to do it.

    Some advice there?

    Thank you

It doesn't seem to be a video on the site of HP but it is an easy process.

    (1) turn off your computer and disconnect the power supply. Remove the power cord from the power outlet.

    (2) open the casing and place the computer on its side (open side upward).

    (3) take pictures where going to each power cable.

    (4) disconnect all power connections.

    (5) remove the four screws on the back of the housing supply by keeping in place.

    (6) turn the power off (can be a "locking tab" now in place.

    (7) reverse the steps to install your new power supply.

Refer to photos for the location of the place where to reconnect the power cables.

  • Replace the power supply, computer does not turn on

I had a Seasonic SS 560 KM power supply for my HP Pav e9280t.  I removed the old power supply while keeping the power cable is plugged in.  Then replaced each power cables one at a time in the new power supply and finally he attached to the tower.

Now when I try to turn on your computer, it just boots barely upward.  I can hear the fans kick on for a second or two, then everything just stops.

Since I replaced the cables one at a time I don't think I missed anything; MoBo, Fan of MoBo, 1 optical drive, disk HARD 2 and 1GPU.  The tower is open and I can see the fan, the fan GPU MoBo and PSU fan all hang on one second so that they get the right power?

I must have missed something or possibly faulty PSU?  Any help will be appreciated.

Hello Chadow86, it is possible to the new power supply may be faulty. I would check double all the connectors again.

Since you mentioned the fan to the motherboard, it would not be necessary to unplug the CPU fan when you changed the power supply. The CPU fan power source comes from the motherboard and not directly from the power supply. I don't know what fan on the motherboard you are talking about.

I watched the specifications and photos of the new power supply. It is a modular design. I would check the cables connected to the power supply to make sure that they are in the correct connectors.

If the system still does not start, the cause could be a new power supply faulty.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

The Sapphire 5770 that you posted the picture for should match as much as the adjacent PCI-E slot on the PCI-E x 16 in your PC slot is vacant.  The card is 8.5 "in length, but it's double wide.  It is now time for you to open the PC and measurement.

  • Beep every one or two minutes when connected to the a/c power

This happens when I have my laptop plugged into the a/c power. How can I get him to stop? The tone seems to be connected to a power setting, because the brightness of the screen increases or decreases when my cell phone rings. I was unable to find the reason why he's doing this. Can anyone help?

    Two possibilities.

    (1) your system goes into power saving mode because it has not been used - check your power settings in the control panel

    (2) your system may be overheating and forced into a mode of power reduced to reduce the heat ouput - check your fans and vents work properly.
