Force of not moving image cropping tool

In a previous version of Photoshop, when you used the crop tool, it did not move your picture around the screen, then why is he doing now? Is there a way to force the crop tool to act as previous versions? It's very confusing trying to crop something now with all this that move on the screen.

Please try 'use of the Classic Mode"(click the icon on the Toolbar Options of cog).

  • How do I can't not free form crop tool?

I generally do not maintain an aspect ratio fixed for truncation tool in Lightroom (2014).  But I needed to change it to a fixed ratio temporarily to crop for some print sizes.  But now, the "Custom" look no longer works.  Whenever I try to crop whatever it is, it comes down to 'Original' and I can't change it.  After selecting custom, as soon as I start to drag an edge or a corner to crop, the appearance is "original".

    How can I fix it?

    Hi someguysomewhere,

Can you please try to reset the preferences of the PS, but make sure first that you have a back up of your preferences

To restore preferences quickly by using a keyboard shortcut: press and hold Option + command + shift (Mac OS) when you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. New preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

  • How to use the crop tool without losing pixels?

    5616 x 3774 / res 72, is what CS5 says my Canon 5 d 2 large jpeg is off camera.

Can I use the harvest too to make a picture of 20 "x 24" and keep all or most of these pixels? "

    Leave the area blank resolution?

The lab I send the file to print, said they want 300 res files (just to complicate the thing a little more)

    Thank you!

To tell the truth I do not use the crop tool. I use the selection Rectangle, crop image tool and the size of the image.  If you use the crop tool and fill a field of resolution in the crop tool crop tool makes all three operations including the harvest to the resolution that you have entered the resampling. Adobe also gave the crop tool implemented in CS6 that a lot in my arms. Don't mind at all.

IMO if you use harvest its best tool to fill the field of the resolution. In this way the harvest will not resample.  You can enter height 24 20 width or height width 6 5 in fact the same proportions as it is 12:10

After you do the crop you can use the size of the Image. In the dialog box uncheck resample set the width for printing on 24. You'll see Photoshop set a height 20 and set the resolution to a certain value. If the fall of DPI value below what you want check resample together in the desired resolution and interpolation method to use and then click OK.

  • Can Acrobat XI - I add the crop tool in the Acrobat in Internet Explorer toolbar?

When you use IE, I am able to select the quick tools Acrobat by clicking on the Acrobat logo in the context menu that comes when pointing down to a downloaded document.  The toolbar does not include the crop tool.  I wish I had this tool, so I can crop the document before saving the file. Is this possible... I have not found a way to do it.  Thanks in advance.

When you view a PDF file in a browser, you are in fact using Adobe Reader (which is how the Safe_mode in Acrobat is implemented). The tool you want does not exist in this context.

  • Crop tool leaves halo on the edges of the image

You have noticed that the Adobe photoshop crop tool, when used to make the image bigger than he was, leaves a halo around the edges of the image?  This happens only if the image is on its own layer, separated from the background.  Any way to prevent that?  It is annoying and needs to be cleaned afterwards, and there is no reason for this.

    evFZvdW.png

This happens when, for example, I'm taking a picture and turn it into a wallpaper of the computer. If the image does not resize to the size of the screen of 1920 x 1080, and I don't want some of the image to crop, I drag the widgets of resizing of culture outside the bounds of the image, which creates the new area outside the boundaries of the image filled with the background color and the halo boring on the edges of the image in the upper layer.

This happens when the image is cropped to the format that is not compatible with the native file size - that is to say a greater height or width as the native image file.  PS use your background color (white) to fill the empty space.

  • My crop tool is not visible in the Premiere Pro effects controls.  Where would it be?

I just download Premiere Pro CS6 and all this so far.  When I go on the controls of effects to crop a graphic tool "Cropping" does not appear as it is simply not there.  To be clear, that he is not there, no selection for a menu drop-down.   Y at - it somewhere that I need access to show or what?  The motion, opacity, scale, etc. are all showing as an option, but not the crop tool.

Have you tried to actually apply the crop effect to the image so that the effect will be displayed in the effect controls panel?

  • CS6 crop tool and the image disappears?

I am new to CS6. Sometimes when I use the the crop tool, the picture I want to crop disappears from the display. Can not see where to place the crop so I end up with a blank screen/window. When I click on another tool, a window pop up asking me if I want to harvest? To which I click on the button 'not fit' and my image reappears. As soon as I click on the crop tool once again, the image disappears again.

Why? What I am doing wrong? It happens not every time.

Which sounds like you have a problem with video card driver (like a lot of similar positions in the general forum of Photoshop).

Try to update your driver from the website of the manufacturer of the GPU video card.

  • Crop tool suddenly does not work correctly... Help

I have CS4 and my crop tool still worked perfectly until yesterday, when I tried to crop an image and he cropped the ENTIRE image.  I can't culture anything without him doing that.  What happens here?  I'm an Illustrator and I need to crop my images somehow and save the different file types and sizes so it's very important and urgent.  Please help if you can.  Thank you.

It of a bit hard to tell from your description, but try the following

    and see if it helps:

Make sure you have all the values entered in the options toolbar

for the width, height and resolution. Otherwise, use the clear button.

If it still does not, try to reset the photoshop preferences:

Hold down the shft + alt + ctrl keys at photoshop startup keys, hold down the

until a dialog box appears asking you to reset the parameters file, click Yes.

  • In CS4 crop tool captures a blank canvas unwanted outside the image

I'm a bit puzzled by the crop tool in CS4 compared with CS2 and earlier versions.  The most irritating feature is the following: in CS4, the marquis does not lock the edge of the image; Instead, it easily moves outside the file area, capturing extra blank canvas.  The result is a lot of waste of time zooming in and fixing the problem after the fact by the projection of splinters of canvas of extra unwanted.  Is there a way set a preference so that the marquis of trimming stops at the edge of the file, as it did in earlier versions of photoshop?
