Are CD or DVD of unclassified as removable media now?
In my view, that is the question for Microsoft because you try to use the functionality of Vista and, as far as I know, the laptop manufacturers have nothing to do with it.
To be honest, for me, it's quite logical. If you want to use this disk, it must be small and compact. The best drive for these purposes is the USB memory key. You can put in any pocket and have with you.

In my view support CD is not so appropriate for this. What do you think?

You can try windows 7 software to bypass the password. Or try these steps below.

    1. power off the laptop

2 start typing away at f11 as soon as you press the power button to start the Recovery Manager that you can then use to reinstall Windows. Before that please backup your data as it will be lost.

    What three different questions?

Treat them as they are for the moment...

What do you mean, "put a password on [your] hard drive?  Encrypt you?  You hear that you set up a BIOS password that you must enter before it will even try to start?  Something else?

    It is unlikely that one of the first two scenarios I gave (encryption of the drive or BIOS boot password) would have never got in a situation where, "password change [d] without reason."<-- as="" the="" only="" reason="" would="" have="" been="" someone="" changing="" it. ="" so="" what="" do="" you="" mean="" there? ="" what="">

Now, you said you bought a new SSD - I guess that to replace the one that you can not enter? - and, "[your] computer not recognize [s] as a [hard drive]?"  You added "is no longer", as it was initially recognized in the BIOS?  Now, it is not detected by the BIOS?

Now you have the 'original hdd' back in the machine and it is seen in the BIOS?  And work?  And it's one that has a "password" perhaps?

    I don't understand, "... and the company all sleep is a new way to scam people.<-- you="" may="" want="" to="" re-word="" that="" if="" it="" is="" part="" of="" the="">

  • How can I find the location of the Oracle password on HARD disk file

give us the location of the password file while we use the orapwd command to create a.

later, if you forget the location of the password file (incase it is not in the default location) then is there a way to find it or simply create a new password file?

Second, for oracle to use the password of the file we giv the remote_login_passwordfile = 'EXCLUSIVE' in the settings file. Wat tells oracle the location of the correct password file?

    Thank you
    Arvind

The default location are dependent on the OS.
    On Unix/Linus, it's under $ORACLE_HOME/dbs
On Windows, it is under %ORACLE_HOME%/database

To change the location by default, nothing inside the database, but:
Under Unix/Linux, you must create a symbolic link to this file to the target location
Under Windows, you need to change the variable env (regedit) ORA_PWFILE and ORA_SID_PWFILE

So, you must check this setting for the location of real password file.

If HARD drive recovery is not too bad, then you can recover the laptop without the use of the recovery diskette.
Here's a great description how to recover the laptop with the HDD recovery procedure.

  • How to use recovery discs to get rid of the hard drive password?

I got this calculation and it asks me to put in the built in HARD drive password, I don't have so I bought the recovery disks. I did what he said but did nothing? Help me please!

    Hello

The recovery disk will not remove the HARD drive password. Recovery disk will just reinstall Windows with all the drivers and tools (factory settings), but not remove any HARD or BIOS password disk. Of course the Windows password is deleted installation recovery but that s all.

  • TS140 ATA Password Support

I try to get the functionality of a DC S3500 SSD in my TS140 Intel encryption, which requires to define a password for ATA disk. I see no option to set a password for ATA in TS140 bios, but if I set a password for the user on the drive (using hdparm) then the TS140 asking an ATA password at startup, so there is at least some support for the ATA password built in. Problem is that I can't figure out how to set the password correctly, so it can be unlocked via the TS140 bios, I guess that's maybe because the bios makes a kind of password hash like laptops Lenovo?

I tried to set the password as plain text and scan codes using hdparm, but while the reader can be unlocked using hdparm without problem, it cannot be unlocked by the TS140 bios, I just get a message saying that the password is incorrect.

Is it possible to put the ATA password on my drive, so it can be unlocked by the TS140 bios? Am I missing a setting somewhere bios that allows you to set passwords for ATA? Lenovo offers a useful program that can set the ATA password?

AES is available on the Intel drives, but requires to define the ATA password
activate, so TS140 bios is unable to start.

In the end I just loaded an option ROM in an old network card and use
What to send the password for the boot drive and I just ignore the Lenovo
guests of password. Works very well, but that the controller on board can be put
    in raid mode.
