Format capture (new project settings)

Hello! I'm new to Premiere Pro (CS6) and I'm already very confused by the Startup dialog box that appears when you click on 'new project '.

Under the heading "Format of Capture", it gives me the opportunity to DV or HDV. I searched around, and it apparently does not affect anything unless I copy my video on a cassette tape?

Even if I'm not, lets say, hypothetically, I could do that, what choice would be more appropriate for me if I turn my video on a DSLR Canon's digital (700 d/rebel t5i)?

I saw that someone mentioned another format that I have as an option (I think it was AVCHD?) and said that it would be the best option, but I'm confused because I don't have this option which is imparted to me.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you

Just ignore it. It is only important if you have a camera that records on tape, which is not. DSLRs and all other modern cameras, record on memory cards.

I read here somewhere (I can't find the thread again) PE11 still used as project default setting (so before one is added to the assetspanel or timeline) your last project project settings?

    Is it more right?

In my case PE11 always chooses 1080i 25 new empty projects while my projects (and images) are in 1080 p 50. So every time I choose new project / settings etc.

I want to reinstall PE11 (uninstall, ccleaner, reinstall and reconfigurate) after completing my current project, but I have to be shure firstly that PE11 uses as default empty project projects last one that has been used...?

In accordance with the standard audio in files IS normal. This stream Audio (through each file) conforms to the 48 kHz 32 bit floating point for extremely precise editing. This process creates the CFA files, which are what pre will have access on the Timeline, then the PEK files for waveform display. Let the consistent process the full standard 100% to all files imported, before making any change. This article goes into details: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3892177#3892177

  • When you create a new project, the "new sequence settings" step doe appears not automatically, what to do?

    Hello

I have a question I make videos of product for a company that they would do that to me in a 16:9 format and in HD. Because they do not know on which channels they want to publish, but it is certain that they will publish on youtube I wanted to do it in the settings HDV and DVCPRO HD 720 p 24 or even 1080 p 24. I bought the license to create online and for some reason that I don't have the option at the beginning when I create a new project to change the settings for the sequence. They do not appear, and then I can not change. Guys do you have any idea what can be done in order to access this setting before the project opens in the end?

I'd appreciate strongly any help in this matter!

    See you soon,.

    Mascha

This option is no longer available in the current versions of first. Once you click OK in the new project dialog box, you can then create some sequences that you like new sequence in the dialog box. You can also return to any order and change them through the sequence settings.

What version of Premiere Elements you are using and on what computer operating system is running?

You cannot import a project file (.prel) in another.

    For now, generalize choice

    a. export your Timeline (your intro) content to a file saved on the hard drive of the computer. And then import that

file in new projects by using the new project add Media/files and folders. See publish + Share/computer/and the other

choices here to generate this file intro for later use in other projects.

    b. you can set up what is called a dummy projects - this is a project with nothing other than the intro file. And, at all times

you want to use the intro, you open one of these saved dummy projects and add your media sources.

A lot of things to discuss. Please fill in some details more and then we can refine the answer for your particular situation.

    Thank you.

  • Format QuickTime exports with the wrong project settings.

    Hey there.

I have a problem when exporting mov. files. Basically what is happening, it's that my project settings (exposure, color balance, shadow / highlights) are not the same after exporting they are in a project. They seem to have some changes applied, but they are significantly reduced. I checked the export with different format and it works fine.

    My settings are:

    -QuickTime format

video codec - Motion JPEG A

    quality - 100

    Cadence - 25 fps

Firstly, the field Type - low

I need to keep this format and codec, unfortunately, so here is what I can do to apply the settings of my project?

Any help will be greatly appreciated, because I spent my whole day trying to find an answer.

    Kind regards.

  • Can't see the BlackBerry Tablet OS in the settings of the Mobile tab when you create a new project

    Hello

I followed all the instructions, but when I got to build a new project, I can't find the Black Berry Table OS compiler option. All I see is the google android.

I must have missed something somewhere. Has anyone had this problem before?

This has been discussed on several positions... Take a look at: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Tablet-OS-SDK-for-Adobe-AIR/Problem-with-adobe-flash-builderb...

If you use Flash Burrito, you must set the language of 'International English' at time of installation and also install it in Administrator, including Adobe AIR SDK mode.

  • The aid project settings

I work for a construction company, and we were filming some of our own images for the security training.

We have an online training site where employees follow security courts, and the format that our videos must be in this Web site is flash.

I was wondering what my project settings should be when I create a new project in first?

I kept the default for DV-NTSC standard, but looking at some of our final flash videos, they are not the best quality. This has something to do with the project settings, or is it just the quality of the images we upload (some of the DV tape, some from a digital camera) and what we export as?

I'm used to DV-NTSC, because that's what I've used in the past when I took a class news where we have exported everything on tape for use in our newsletter (because it was for television).

But as everything we do is on the computer, I wonder if I should choose a different setting... If it would make a difference in quality.

The parameters of the project should be based on the format of the images I'm importing? (as I said, we use a DV tape, or digital files from a flip camera... so what settings should I use for them?)

Advice/tips would be appreciated! Thank you!

I choose one and stick to it.

The old band miniDV camera will produce images (with screenshot), pre can be used perfectly, for a NTSC DV (SD) project.

The new camera will produce images that has a higher resolution, because it is HD and instead of Capture (as you mention, in real time), you will import only the images. With later versions of pre, there should be a Preset Flip/Mimeo, which should work fine.

I would not mix images, but it seems that you are trying to do and that they are just trying to choose a camera and stick to it for each project. I would try that Flip images/files in a project Flip/Mimeo and judge the quality of output. Do not use this film in an NTSC DV (SD) project, but one is designed for the Flip camera.

While Sony has probably the best glass (can be very important), SD (Standard definition), so is not only about 1/4 of the resolution of the Flip, with glass of lower quality. This increased resolution could make up the difference of glass, in general terms. For videos on safety, could never see the differences in lenses of these two cameras, but test for yourself, with the good Preset for each camera.

  • Confused about my project settings - can someone advise?

I have some excerpts from my child when she was very small (I have provided a sample at the bottom). I want to do a project with them in first Elements 10.

I tried to use Premiere Elements project settings Advisor ' auto (IE placed the 1st clip of the new project on the timeline, so it can notify whether or not project settings are correct), but no matter what I use the project settings intial Premiere Elements does not have auto corrected parameters. So, I used 3 análisis programs of different media to tell me what are the properties my videos and they say all different things:

    (1) Media info says: AVI (Mjpeg) 720 x 480 30 fps NTSC interlaced (3:2).

    (2) MovieScanner said: AVI (Mjpeg) 720 x 480 (4:3), 480 p (progressive).

    (3) MediaTab said: AVI (Mjpeg) 720 x 480 30 fps (3:2), progressive NTSC.

So I think I can say the clips are AVI (motion Jpeg), but are they interlaced or progressive (it is important for me to get this right when choosing project obviouisly settings)? I don't know what that format of pixels and everything would be like that is getting too advanced for me.

MJPEG can even be interlaced? Surely if there are a lot of JPEG files, put in place to make a moving image then they must be progressive, or JPEG files themselves can be interlaced?

Here's a clip very small sample if someone wants to download and have a peek for me:

    https://SkyDrive.live.com/redir?RESID=F587D73C02F4DBBB! 2689 & authkey =! ANELPbk4tYQDCDc & t = c the %2 file. AVIhttp: / /.

Advice of how a person would go to discover these parameters would be too large.

    Thank you very much.

  • By selecting the appropriate parameters for a new project

I'm about to start my first project with Premiere Elements and the final result for the project be must be a H264 or "WMV" file that can be uploaded to an FTP site.  It will also be displayed in front of a group on a screen (size is 7.5 ' x 10'.)

What is the most optimal project settings that I use when I start the new project?  Something in the AVCHD category?  (With the help of NTSC).

    Thank you!

(Sorry... This is a repost... I accidentally sent in the PS forum at the beginning).

With the Audio and still Images ONLY, you can go with 1920 x 1080, full HD at 30 fps (NTSC) or 25 FPS (PAL), depending on where you live.

For images, I'd like to see this ARTICLE. Note: it was written when SD was the norm, but as HD took over, sizes have been faced to understand this, as well.

Images of PowerPoint may be problematic, but recent versions of the program can export slides as TIFF Images. I would like to keep as much of the material as possible in PSD native Photoshop, PNG or TIFF. Unless you start with formats JPEG, I would not save Images in JPEG, to keep this stage of compression on the mixture. Many have found with PowerPoint slides, they are better off starting from scratch and those in Photoshop or Illustrator maybe build. If you go with Illustrator or similar vector Art program, I would import into Photoshop and not the pixelation, rather than import the Images of AI in pre and use it for the pixelation.

If you have any music (the narration must be PCM/WAV at first), I have that converting to PCM/WAV, if IE MP3.

  • Creating a new project in 24 p: 24 p conversion method

    Hello

I created a new project from scratch in 24 p.  I made sure that my settings were appropriate to my configuration, i.e. DLSR 24 p and much more.

All shows I work now, from below in 24 1920 x 1080 p on my screen of information.   Cool.

    Screen shot 2011-03-01 at 7.05.44 AM.png

However, when I set up my new default values of the sequence, I get this option box slightly confused displayed below for my reading settings:

    Screen shot 2011-03-01 at 7.07.55 AM.png

Is it true that "24 p conversion method" mentioned in my playback settings in the default values of the sequence made reference to how any interlaced video I will be converted in the 24 p format?

    Thank you

    Matt Dubuque, 100 trees

Is it true that "24 p conversion method" mentioned in my playback settings in the default values of the sequence made reference to how any interlaced video I will be converted in the 24 p format?

No, it dictates how material 24 p will be displayed on a device of 29.97 standard play, such as a TV or monitor that displays your output from the program monitor via a 1394 device (FireWire, alias). This is only for external monitoring; It has no effect on internal (i.e., in the program monitor) reading.

The result is that, unless you are using a connected DV equipment and the monitor, you can ignore this setting.

  • Incorrect project settings - solution?

I was interested first Elements 7 for some time now and finally got seriously to create a project and see it through to the final result. I had a lot of fun, editing, but am of errors in rendering / disk write. I saw the richness of the info on this site (awesome!) and I'm working my way through the basic troubleshooting.

In doing so, I discovered that I made a mistake of beginner classic - I didn't select the appropriate project settings, and I realize now that these settings are not editable to halfway. Just beautiful! I turned my clips with a Sony HDR-XR500V. I chose Full HD 1080i 30 as the setting, but I should have chosen the option of 5.1 channels. I'm not sure that this is the cause of the problems I have experience, but there seems to be a pretty serious error in V7 I need to fix it before you dig more deeply.

I have not been able to find a clear answer to whether there is no way around this error try again (and this isn't a nice option). Can I export the timeline and import the clip that results in a new project by using the appropriate settings? I tried this, using the following parameters:

    File type: DV - AVI

Format of the pixels: D1/DV NTSC widescreen 16:9 (1.2)

Options - rendering bit depth: no fields (Progressive Scan)

    Audio compressor: uncompressed

I also read on using Clipmate copy my calendar for a new project. I don't know which is the best option, and that either will preserve the quality of the original images. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Using Clipmate to cut all your project files and paste them into a correctly formatted project is probably the best way to do it.

  • How to choose the right project settings?

I am new in taking video and modifying them. I bought a Sanyo Xacti HD camcorder and a lot of clips in my last trip. The clips are transferred to my count and have the format. Depth of MP4 1280 - 720 1280 and 29.97 frames per second.

I want to create after having been released on DVD I can show on my TV 16:9 (PAL Netherlands)

When I create a new project, I choose the seetings and I don't really know how to choose!

Should what project settings I choose in the settings I see that 30 fps under NTSC systems. Is there somewhere a general explanation how?

    Help will be very appreciated!

    Greetings Willem

Before the NTSC in PAL, I think that there are other major considerations.

    1. you save the 16:9 720 p 30 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second, using the MPEG-AVC/H.264 codec). Seems to me you are dealing with what they call "AVCHD Lite". If so, there are major problems of basic editing in first Elements 7. See the FAQ of Steve Grisetti

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/454585?TSTART=0

    2. your comments suggest that you want to create the widescree of DVD-VIDEO (16:9) of your timeline.

    3. so, first and foremost, I would determine if you can successfully bring your video in Elements 7 first and export the DVD-VIDEO in NTSC system, before thinking on the conversion of a video NTSC a PAL end product.

    4. as a general rule, you select the preset of the project (new project dialog box) to match the properties of your video. Once done this will not stop you changing predefined export later. In the case of your NTSC by Sanyo 720p30 video, I suggest the project (new project dialogue box) = NTSC HDV HDV 720p30 preset. Think the project defined by default as a template from which you can edit your video. Although this 720 p is a variant of AVCHD, I would suggest the HDV category since there is no preset under AVCHD 720 p. Note that the descriptions on the right which you have set the preset.

    5. in Share/disc/disc, in the dialog box burn, and then select the preset: NTSC_Widecreen_Dolby DVD. If it's all completed successfully, then we can talk about conversion of NTSC 1280 x 720 16:9 for a DVD VIDEO PAL (720 x 576 25 fps with a flag from 16:9 to stretch the video on screen after the encoding).

Have you ever tried to delete the iMovie preferences?  If the elements of the user interface do not, deleting preferences frequently you contribute.

To delete the iMovie preferences leaving iMovie, runs, and then press and hold options and command key at the same time, at the launch of iMovie. Keep now pressed the buttons firmly until you see a command prompt to remove the preference. Confirm.

Before you do, take note of all the settings that you made in iMovie preferences panel, so you can put back them later. iMovie will then begin with the Welcome screen.

When I had a similar problem, the only thing that helped was to create an iMovie library.  Probably a corrupted in the iMovie project current library prevented the creation.   The problem persists, if you test different library in iMovie? You can create a library for testing.
