  • Latest version of Firefox does not work on Win 7 64 bit

Downloaded the latest version of Firefox and installed on my newly built computer Win 7 64 bit. When I click on the shortcut of Firefox, it absolutely nothing happens. No processes appear in the Task Manager, nothing. Googled the question and I tried many patches recommended without result. At a loss on how to fix, Firefox is unusable at this point.

In the case where the program files were damaged during installation, you can try:

    Clean reinstall it

    (A) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 41.0.1 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (B) delete the folder of the current program to:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    (C) run the installer downloaded to (A). I'm NOT suggesting it as an administrator.

  • Questions KB and mouse wireless Microsoft with Win 7 64 bit

    Hello

There could be other messages like mine, but I find it here, with exactly the same problem.

I have a problem with my new Setup: Windows 7 64 bit and a Microsft Wireless Keyboard 6000 v3 and MS Wireless Mouse 6000 v2 (he came as a set).

Now it works perfectly with my Windows XP system. I have now on a new computer, Win 7 64 bit. The mouse and the keyboard are now 'Skip', where they seem to ignore the entry for a second or two from time to time. As a first step, I let Windows 7 load its own drivers for these. After the mouse wheel input strange (no scroll bar on an active window would scroll to the bottom with no way to stop it) I downloaded the Intellipoint for the KB and mouse drivers and disabled the intellipoint Control Panel scroll wheel.

I have changed the batteries, moved the receiver to different USB ports, but nothing helped. I have antivirus running. Wi - Fi KB and mouse works fine on this same machine, in the same USB ports.

    I would appreciate any input.

    Thank you

    Ray French

    Hi gamma,

    Thank you for your message.

What is your make and model of computer?

What are the sounds like interference might be the issue.

Other wireless devices and certain appliances can interfere with wireless KB/mouse.

Is there a wireless router near the receiver for the KB/mouse? This also will cause a microwave oven.

Even if the mouse is located in front of a computer and the receiver is at the back of the computer.
interference of the metal casing of the PC can connect properly.

In order to better clarify, if you move the mouse backward through the office (left to right continuously for a minute) is the stop of pointer or freeze at any time?

If so, I suggest to perform a clean boot to see if a startup program may conflict with the resources of mouse/KB:

    Hello

If you bought the DVD of Windows 7 with the license, and it's a retail license, Yes, you can transfer it to another computer.

OEM, pre-installed Dell, HP, etc. as well as Microsoft OEM System Builders licenses are non-transferable to another computer. They are tied to the computer first they are installed on the.

Retail licenses are transferable. Remember that a single installation is allowed at a time.

You may need to do a phone Activation when you reinstall on another computer.

  • Get re-configured WAG160N on Win 7 64 bit computer

I had no problem with my WAG160N when you use a computer for Win XP 32 bit fast but after the failure of its motherboard, I decided to replace it with a new Win 7 64 bit system.  But I now find that if the WAG160N still works ok I can't re - install through the Wizard (it stops with "Error 302 internal error") to the last step in configuring and I can't reinstall LELA - he tries but finally stops with a presenter of the box which calls for "an X 86 processor.  My new Dell desktop and Dell laptop wireless cable can still work satisfactorily through the WAG160N but I would make sure the WAG160N has in fact been set up correctly and would have LELA there for the info handy additional system it provides.

  • My computer will get speed by installing an OS Win 7 32 - bit OS 64-bit instead?

I am currently using Win7 Ultimate 64-bit. So, can I get speed by installing an OS Win 7 32 - bit OS 64-bit instead?

In some instances Yes, I got Windows 7 64 bit on a computer with 2 GB of RAM, I noticed after some time, he was not optimal. I decided to try 32 bit Windows 7 and seen improving overall performance with regard to the execution of applications and operating in Windows 7.

Windows 7 64 bit comes in handy when you need to deal with at least 4 GB of RAM or more. Windows 7 32 bit can use up to 3.2 GB of RAM. Because the address space of memory is much larger for 64-bit Windows, this means that you need two times more memory than the 32-bit Windows to accomplish some of the same task, but you are able to do much more, you can have more apps open, do things like run a virus scan in the background it will affect the performance of your system. 64-bit Windows 7 is safer too, malicious code cannot easily infiltrate it, drivers are more reliable because they must be signed before it can work with 64 bit Windows 7.

Regarding compatibility, you need device drivers 64-bit hardware devices, you may have. In addition, there is no 16-bit subsystem in Windows 7 64-bit, which means, your applications must be 32-bit only, not 16-bit Installer or programs uninstaller.

Ran the Scan, the system is secure.

I was able to bypass stubborn files to transfer them to a flash drive and copy them to another folder.  I was then able to access.  Somehow I messed up the permissions in the previous transfers of old machines and OS.

  • No sound on a Satellite P100-324 using don't Win 7 64 bit

    Hi all

    I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P100 - 324.
I installed Win 7 64 bit on this computer and I have problem with sound now.

My sound does not work. I tried to install a driver but without result.
I tried to download the driver from realtek but it was the same thing.

Do you know how I can run on this PC?

    Thanks for your advice

    Marek

    Hello

Satellite P100-324 belongs to the series of PSPA6E.
The European driver Toshiba page asserts that Realtek audio driver should be compatible.
But the Realtek audio driver Toshiba on page is released for Win 7 32 bit, not 64-bit.

I recommend the driver on the Realtek page. There you should find one that suits.

You can also check the Dev ID and could find the compatible driver for internet.

  • Satellite L750D - update in Win 7 32 bit for win 10 64 bit

    The installation was successful?

Well win 10 came and I changed a few things in the start when the laptop computer just restarted.

Windows 10 tried to solve the problem and said that it was impossible.
I tried various recovery options that are offered by Windows 10, but all have failed to solve the problem.
It seems to be a screen driver problem.

The laptop was initially under Windows 7 32-bit before the upgrade, so so, the pilots would have been 32-bit.
I have Windows summise 10 is now only 64-bit.

See attached picture to screen before it fails.
Screen splach windows at the start of the 4 blue pane window is correct, it's just, then the windows logon id screen supposed to show that you get the example attached.

You perform an upgrade or a new installation?

As much as I know it should not possible to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to win 10 64 bit... you need the 64-bit version to get win 10 64-bit.

In case you have made a 'upgrade', you could try to turn the clock back 10 Windows to an earlier version of Windows:
    Settings > update & security > recovery.

If the options to go back and restore the factory settings are not available, you can use Setup Toshiba recovery media to install an earlier version of Windows

  • Satellite R630 - problems of Driver on Win 7 64 bit after SP1 update

That need your help here guys.

My R - 630 Satellite is less than a year, under a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit. For awhile, I've known BSOD, which I traced him through the observer of events here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd337789 (WS.10) .aspx

This has not led me far enough.
Finally, I have found through other forums that the SP1 update would solve some of the annoying problems BSOD and I started the download and upgrade. However, when the computer reboots, while my laptop seems to have been healed (so far) of the BSOD, I have problems with drivers for:

    -Sound card
    -USB controllers
    -DVD player
    -Webcam
    -Bus enumerators

I downloaded the indicated Win 7-64 bit drivers in each case. I tried to install the first. Nothing happened. I uninstalled the existing and installed new drivers. Nothing happened again.

I thought I should do things in the right order.
    So I tried to install
    (1) the Chip Set Utility (drivers?) first, then
    (2) the USB drivers
    (3) sound card drivers etc.

    Nothing happens not always.

I'm running out of ideas here.

PS while other drivers run very well when I extracted the .zip format, the sound card driver, refused to run, even if the box "run command" has been checked when executing the .msi file.
I've pulled into a folder and ran it manually.

    Still did not help.

    Hello

What happens if you set the Windows operating system to the point before the SP1 has been installed?
    That you get the BSOD?

    I would recommend this doing.
Use the Windows option that allows you to activate the operating system at the point of time at the beginning.
Then, test the functionality of the OS.

If everything works correctly, update the Win 7 64 bit with SP1.
You must use the automatic update of Windows 7.

  • Win 7 64 bit has been preinsatlled but I only Win 7 32 bit recovery disc

    Hello guys,.

    OK here is the story:

My toshiba laptop comes with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Pre 64 bit. This laptop has 4 GB of memory, so it needs 64-bit to use all 4 GB. Today, Toshiba only provided me with a 32-bit rescue disk that installs the 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows 7 Home pre. Stupid huh?

Today, Toshiba, with an attatude of a 13-year-old told me, we will not provide you with a record of 64-bit, we don't have to do it legally. Telephone Microsoft if you think we are braking the law.

So im guessing they thought I wouldn't, well I did :)
Here are the highlights of what Microsoft has said,
Toshiba using our Direct OEM license and there to provide end users with support to restore the system operating at the same version that preinstalled. Thanks to Windows 7 OEM 32-bit and 64-bit OEM support options they should be you offering two options. However, they are only legally to provide 64-bit because it is pre-installed.

I explained to him that Toshiba refused to provide me with the media and said to themselves, they then trasnfered me the string (basiclly I talked to 4 people) I got threw to the UK head office which is now dealing with my case. They turned round and said that Toshiba are just being clumsy in the fact that they said that they are not breaking the law and to contact Microsoft becauseinfact, they are in violation of the license OEM Direct from Microsoft and Toshiba betwean.

    So what is happening now?
Well Microsoft will now contact Toshiba about this, Director at Headquarters is going to try to get her ANDS on a copy of the OEM disc for me, if it is unable to do, so she'll contact Toshiba and tell them that they must give me with her. They will also investigate Toshiba on this beach.

    So my question to Toshiba,
Why when I called today your sure support decided to take a bad tone of voice, raise your voice and try to argue with me when I was polite and calm with him?
Why when Microsoft told me that you were in violation of license you said that I was not faithful?

As I rip this message Microsoft Head office phoned me, they called Toshiba, Toshiba said Microsoft, they are not in violation of license due to Toshiba which allows users 'Software' to create their own media, Microsoft disagreed with them because of the license indicating to provide to the user the media not a metod to create the media and handed the case to the Legal Department here and Microsoft are now send me one commercial version of Microsoft Home Premium 64-bit for free myself.

Anyway, if a member of the staff may answer my two questions above, I would be grateful.

    Thank you

    > My computer toshiba laptop comes with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Pre 64 bit. This laptop has 4 GB of memory, so it needs 64-bit to use all 4 GB. Today, Toshiba only provided me with a 32-bit rescue disk that installs the 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows 7 Home pre. Stupid huh?

First of all, I guess you don t know that it is a forum for user to user... here in the forum you can get a recommendation of the users regular laptops like you and me ;)

Second, you can find the info in the user manual which was preinstalled on your laptop, which a tool called Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator has been pre-installed that allows you to create recovery disk for Win 7 64 bit and this is the reason why the 64-bit recovery disc has not provided with the laptop.

Like many, I know this is a common process and my Satellite U400 has not provided with the drive too because I could use the Toshiba recovery disc creator to create the recovery disk.

I think that it's my personal opinion, Toshiba and Microsoft are business partner and they know exactly the own enterprise.

The Portégé M800 Win 7 drivers are available on the European driver Toshiba page.
You will also find the driver of Webcam Win 7 64 bit 1.7.260.0526

Please remove first the old driver, and then restart the unit clean to the BONE using CCLeaner, reboot the device again and then install Chicony webcam software.
