Formatting the sd card to ntfs format
Hello community,
It depends on if your camera could support NTFS, so you should ask your camera manufacturer, whoever it is. My thought is "if it's not broken, don't fix it". There is not much to gain by changing the format, so I would say that potential problems outweigh the economies of small space formatting.
Good luck.

I've just updated to Android 6.0.1 yesterday evening and I realized a lot of things has changed. I can't access my store apps on the SD card in Android 5.1.1. I was able to move apps to the SD card on 5.1.1 to free internal memory. Update Marshmallow supposed to have better functionality. It can mount the provided internal memory SD card I have to formatted as internal memory. I have bee playing around with my phone all day and I made during the liberation of Sony, they do not have this feature. I've been YouTubeing autour and found in 6.0.1 in the submenu settings/storage/SD card, there should be 3 possibilities. Eject, Format and format the internal memory. That's what Miss me. Also if you insert the SD card for the first time, it should appear a notification asking you what to do with the SD card. He don't ask me. This is a feature known with Marshmallow. My phone have 16g, it won't hold all my apps, which was the reason why I spend a few apps to SD on Android 5.1.1. So what's happening?
I have also factory reset my phone and format my SD on my computer, it still doesn't work. He only treats like a portable storage.
@CameronT
Problem solved
I don't know that it's a bug or not. the reason why he did not move the app to the SD card was because the SD card has been beyond 32 G. Since I was a 64G with a total of 59G free. It will not transfer. So I downloaded my photos, music and videos to take 1/2 of the memories. Now I have 29G left, restarted my phone and transfer of applications very well. go figure.
A solution has been published on Androidcentral.com
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ask-question/598712-can-t-move-app-not-enough-storage-space.html
It's just a work around now, it would be really nice to have just mounted as internal memory memory card.

You are able to use any other memory card with no problems on the same computer?
Try to format it on another computer and check. If you are unable to format it on another computer then it is perhaps because of the corrupted memory card. You will need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Need to format the drive G to display the images on the memory card
Original title: WHERE IS G drive? And why my memory card no longer works?
I'm seeing pictures on my memory card. My windows vista says I need to format disk G, but it won't let me. When I look at the drive in my computer, it says card xD-Picture Card G. It said SD Canon. What happened and help? !!
Hi Camper17,
1. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?
Step 1:
You can try to change the drive letter and check if it helps.
Access the link below to learn more about changing the drive letter.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows-Vista/change-add-or-remove-a-drive-letter
Step 2:
Also check if the device is detected in Device Manager. Follow the steps to go to the Device Manager
a. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.
b. Locate the device name in the list of Bus USB controllers.
c. If you see the item on to the SD card, right-click on it and click on uninstall.
d. restart the computer and check if that helps.
You can also connect the USB cable for the canon camera and see if it helps.
Hope this information is useful.

The SD card no longer works. "You must format the disk before you can use it"
I have a dv8000t supplied with XP. I've upgraded to Vista 32, and after the driver updates and adding the SMCISEnable key in the registry, the SD card reader has worked well.
Now when I try to use the SD cards, it is said: "you must format the drive until you can use it" as an error message. I tried the SD cards on other computers, and they work, so I know that is only the HP dv8000t problem. This is perhaps the result of a Windows Service Pack or other update? I have Vista Service Pack 2.
Any ideas? Thank you.
Hello:
There is a newer driver that you should try that may fix your issue. April 1, 2009 v2.0.0.9.

Can not format the memory card
Canon that PowerShot SX 10 IS reformatted not 16 GB SanDisk Ultra. Camera says memory card error. Everything else seems to work on the camera. Is there a way to fix this?
Your camera specifications say that it will work with the following cards, memory card SD/SDHC, MultiMediaCard, MMC Plus card, HC MMC Plus card.
Some memory cards note their speeds by a "class." Canon cameras are recommended to be used with nominal class cards 4 to SD (Standard-definition movies) and class 6 for HD (high definition movies) or more because of the large amount of data written to the card. As long as map meets the following standards for the card, the memory card must be compatible regardless of class or the speed rating.
SD
Standard Secure Digital card supports up to 2 GB capacity. SDHC
Secure Digital High Capacity currently supports up to 32 GB capacity. MMC
Multimedia card supports up to 1 GB capacities. MMCPlus
MultiMediaCardPlus supports up to 4 GB currently. HC MMCPlus
High capacity MultiMediaCardPlus supports up to 8 GB now. -
Initiate a R100 on the SD card slot.
I found mention of R200s (?) be able to boot from the SD card if you put a picture of 2.88 MB floppy on support SD, that named the file $tosfd00.vfd and then choose the disk icon in the market of Toshiba boot menu.
I have therefore updated my BIOS to 1.60, used the "SD memory card Format" Toshiba utility, found a boot for example, image copied to my SD card, rebooted, chose the diskette icon (I assume that this replaces the selectable boot order in Toshiba hardware utility) and unlucky - the machine from the HARD disk as usual.
Does anyone have advice? Thank you!
Hello
AFAIK, you can create a bootable SD card using SD card start utility. In this case, the SD card has the same function as a startup MS-DOS disk. Unfortunately it will not help you because with this boot SD card, you can not see the contents of the HARD drive. Just the FAT32 partition is readable but not NTFS (available on your device). You can use the SD card to update the BIOS, or for the registration of the user password. All that s.

Starting from the sd card?
Hello!
Just purchased a m200 second hand and are now trying to install linux for a dual boot of installation. However, in case I have to restore XP or start it fails - can I start XP using a SD card? There is a utility for creating boot SD card, as I understand it, but it seems that I need a floppy image to copy to it - I can only create somewhere? Sorry if I missed something obvious - I'm not very used to Win XP...
And: there are pictures on the hard drive on win - xp disks can they be used to create cd/dvd-s, if I would format the hd whold?

Hello
It is not easy to give you a good answer because I don't know what image is on the HARD drive.
AFAIK, you can create a bootable SD card using SD card start utility. In this case, the SD card has the same function as a startup MS-DOS disk. You can use the SD card to update the BIOS, or for the registration of the user password.I hope you have the recovery DVDs too using this DVD you can reinstall the unit whenever you want. I put t know what images you have on the HARD drive but if this image is a copy of the image of Toshiba is a ghost file and, as far as I know, it can be started by using Norton ghost application.
Good bye

NB510 - boot from the SD card?
Hello
I have a question related to booting from SD cards.
As my NB510 has no optical device, I thought to use an SD with Linux on it to boot from. The reason is that sometimes I need Linux and I don't wan to lose my Windows partition or another partition of my HDD with a 2nd OS.
My experience is that more than one OS at a disk always causes unnecessary trouble.
Unfortunately, it seems that the NB510 does not boot from the SD card.I created it with the Toshiba SD Memory Format Utility and "UNetbootin" to create a card with the last OpenSUSE Linux.
When, in from the laptop and press F2 (or F12), all available drives be filed - but not my SD card (Yes, it was inserted). BIOS Insyde H2O also doesn't seem to provide the SD card as boot drive.
So is it possible to get my NB 510 booting from SD card?
Greetings from the Germany
Hello
Why you boot from the USB flash key t n?
As much as I know the NB510 support the start of disk HARD primary, Network (LAN), USB, USB HDD and USB WEIRD memory. If booting from USB is certainly possible.

Hello
According to the user manual the laptop supports several sizes with SD cards, but housing is unable to accommodate multimedia cards (MMC)
don't forget to use the right card (Toshiba)
But if you use the right SD card so I would recommend removing the slot and the driver for the SD card from the Device Manager.
The new after reboot, you must reinstall the driver again. Check the Toshiba driver pager for the SD card driver updates. -
Satellite Pro A120 - how to identify the sound card
Hello
don't know if you can help me on this one, I have more or less the same problem.
Bit long-winded, but we broken rececently, very clever thieves, stole a number of point with my computer with disks of Toshiba bag. (LOL) the lap top was next to the bag on the desk, they left.Since then contracted a virus which means I had to completely format the hard drive and installed XP.
No problem, but now I can not find the audio drivers right. Q. How can I identify the sound card on the top of the Tower?
You n t know what sound chip has your laptop?
On the Europe of Toshiba page you can find the drivers for this model of laptop.
I can see that the Realtek sound card driver has been released and so I'm 100% sure that the sound chip was made by Realtek. -
Gigashot K40HE - update the firmware on the SD card does not work
Hello
IBought a Gigashot K40HE 2 years and everything was good until he stopped keep the date in mind.
I had the assistance of Toshiba phone told me to update the firmware with the following procedure:
1. prepare a formatted, empty SD card.
2. Insert an SD card to the card reader. Copy the firmware file
(file name must be "psd.bin") in the SD card. Make sure that the new firmware file is copied to the SD card.
3. Insert the SD card into the DV.
4. Insert the battery in the DV.
5. Insert the adapter in the DV. (dual power supply)
{color: #ff0000} 6. press on "Power button" to power. Then the LCD displays 'FWUPDATE YES OR NO'. Select "YES".
and press 'OK '. The DV will update automatically the FW. {color}
7. after that the FW update completed. LCD display will show "OK". And then, will auto power off.Everything was good until 6... The DV starts as shown. It justs starts normally, asking me to set the date as every time I turn on my DV.
I tested with a SD card that usually work on other devices, so I guess that the card is not defective. It's a card SD transcend 1 GB 45 x. And I know that the card is seen by the DV, because it creates folders on it for recording photo or video.
Has anyone an idea to help me sort this out?
Best regards
OzhadesHello ozhades,

Re: Camileo S10 - very slow when the SD card is in.
My Camileo S10 was working fine for months with my 8 GB ScanDisk Ultra II memory card.
Now, when I start the camera, it is very slow to start and operate (a few second delay for each operations). When I remove the card SD and trun on the camera, it works fine.
Is this a known issue?
An idea for me?Thank you.
Hello
For me, it looks like a problem with the SD card inserted.
I think you should try to format the card CD and it should check again.
If this will not help and you won't see a performance improvement you should replace the SD card and should try another.Welcome them
