Former player local v9 after installing Flash v10

Hi all

XP Pro SP3

I installed the updated Flash 10.0.12.36

The procedure proposed by Adobe - delete the old version using uninstall and the standalone install like I always do. Everything is going fine without any errors

But now when I tested a local swf file reading Adobe player 9 r115 pointed (?) and he played. Which never happened before.
There is no v9 listed in Add/Remove.
Plug-ins for IE7 and Firefox are installed correctly and works in both browsers.

Can anyone tell please, why old Flash was not deleted?
Where I can find old flash on my PC and how to clean, then Flash 10 is the default value (offline) Flash Player

Thanks in advance
My respects

Hi BWolfe.

(1) because the old version belongs to the update of CS3 suggesting you will break something cs3-flash-related?
(2) otherwise, the standalone installation procedure Flash includes uninstall prior and where to get that for standalone player only?

You don't have to worry about uninstalling the standalone player. And no, there should be no break I can think. Go ahead...

Posted by: fox_Nick CS3 link at the beginning of the page, it brings you to http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html#flashCS3
the description of upgrade to v9 (?).

If you have CS3, then you can only update the Flash 9 CS3 stuff. This update creates a final version of the record players FP9, but it does NOT install the players. So if you run this you all updates to CS3, but you would still have your installed Flash Player 10 from previous installs (the browser). Has no way CS3 update to test the film with FP10.

I know this is a little confusing. But to keep things simple...
1. for your browsers, upgrade to Flash Player 10 to the site online/go/getflashplayer
2. for the creation of the CS3, download the CS3 update so you have the last component and fixed code for Flash CS3.
3. to test CS3 content published, to test in a direct browser

Why my computer starts to play a radio station internet on the speakers after installing the latest version of flash player?

Flash Player is not the culprit. You have what is called "adware". It opens a window (either minimized or "popunder" so that you can't see in the current browser window) and it's playing that stuff whether mad ethe adware that you have now.

Run a full scan, check ALL your browser plugins and are looking for something fishy in Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

    Hey

Any idea on all the world why Profiler has stopped working after I added the flashplayer 10.1?

I can debug the flash builder project, but when I try to use the Profiler says unable to connect to the application to extract profile data.

    How can I fix?

    Thanks, malab36 !

Yes, it's finely a problem. In our field USERPROFILE! HOMEDRIVE AND HOMEPATH =.

HOMEDRIVE is defined on the network drive.

layout by default c: / solves the problem. But this is certainly a bug because flex is able to find mm.cfg in USERPROFILE

and change it with an appropriate line before launching the Profiler. The problem is that Flash Player 10.1 is not for her in USERPROFILE.

  • A possible solution for people with difficulties to install Flash

I've read through old discussions to try to refresh my memory on how to install Flash for Firefox. I seem to have the same problems in several threads closed - Flash claims to install, but Firefox still happily using the old version. None of the support helped him, but I don't remember how I fixed it before - the Flash Installer puts files in the right place and you must copy them manually to the Firefox Plugins directory. Until the files are in the right place, useful to use on suggestion: addons will not work. Now, if I could only remember how I figured out where Flash updates its files...

He has got to work! After installing Flash, I had to manually copy ShockwaveFlash.class, NPSWF32.dll, FlashUtil11f_Plugin.exe and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash flashplayer.xpt to the Plugins of Firefox directory. Your file names can be a bit different, of course, if you use a different version or a BONE.

To further complicate things, Flash seems to have dropped support for older versions of Firefox. Install the last Flash in this way causes my browser (Firefox 9) crash when you try to play Flash. Adobe offers no help on what version of Flash is going with what version of Firefox, just to watch the release dates and to make a reasonable estimate. Decommissioning of a published Flash version shortly after Firefox 9 fixed the problem completely.

  • After an update mac; Flash player asked to be installed.  Install successfully but the application will not work.

    Hello

After a Mac update, flash player (with silverlight) asked to be installed when I tried to watch the video content or play games.  I installed flash player, and it indicates success and appears in my apps.  However, I can't watch videos or play games, whenever I ask me to install flash player again and again and again.  I suspect it has something to do with the plugins, but I'm not sure.  I uninstalled the program and reinstalled but it still does not work.  I check my security settings and it does not allow plugins.  I deleted my temporary internet files.  I don't know what else to do.  Any help would be appreciated!  It's incredibly frustrating.  Thank you

In Safari, go to Preferences > Security

Make sure to allow JavaScript and Plugins allow are checked

    Click on manage Web sites

On the left, choose Adobe Flash Player, and then ensure that always allow is selected.

I hope this helps.  While you're there, you see something like AdBlock Pro Ghostery, Badger to private ScriptBlock, NoScript, etc in the list on the left?

  • After update, install 'Flash Install Player.exe - point of entry not found' error

My current version of Flash Player is: 11.1.102.55. Then, after an update is performed and the download is downloaded, then it tries to install the download and an error message occurs. The error message says point - install Flash Player.exe - entry not found - then he says the procedure entry point SetDllDirectoryW is not found in the KERNAL32.dll dynamic link library.

When I try to uninstall Flash Player I get the same error message above, except that it says Uninstall_Flash_Player.exe instead of install Flash Player.exe.

I'm under WIN2000, my latest version of Flash Player is 11.1.102.55 and I'm on Firefox version 12.0.

I think 10.1.102.64 was the latest version of the Flash Player for Win2k.  That being said, there are many users who have managed to work around the error that you receive.  Please see this post for more details:

  • How install Flash Player via the command line using sudo to install without being invited for the dialog "Preferences updated Flash Player"? Is there a really quiet option, no prompt?

Since the administration guide, I execute the following commands on a remote host to install flash player. However, the command stalls waiting for "Update Flash Player Preferences" dialog box to decide. I would like to run this command on a remote host and have to install without any warning. Are the other arguments to the "'Adobe Flash Player install Manager" another that '-install ', something that is really quiet? "

Silent installation of Flash Player (using Installer .app bundle)

To silently install the Flash Player 11.3 or later on Mac, follow these steps:

1 extract the bundle to install Adobe Flash Player (install Adobe Flash Player.app) of the. DMG file.

2 open a terminal window and change to the directory where the .app file is saved.

For example, if the .app file is saved to the desktop of the current user, type:

    CD ~/Desktop

    3. run the installation program contained in the .app file using the following command:

sudo. / Install Adobe Flash Player.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Flash Player install Manager.

    install

    4. type the password to continue the installation.

    Thank you.

    Hello

You experience this behavior because you use the installer online, download and install Flash Player silently in background, but requires also the user to provide the option to update.  Setup Online is not intended for the distribution of the company.  Distribute Flash Player within your organization, you will need Flash Player (usually free) licenses for distribution.  Apply for a license, go to Adobe Flash Player Distribution. Adobe and complete and submit the form.  After application, you will receive an email with a link to download installers for the distribution of the company.  This includes installers .app both .pkg you can use.  None of these prompts to update the options during installation in silent mode.

I apologize for not noticing this before, however, I assume that you did not use the installer online since you were distributing Flash Player within your organization.

  • I get a 'connection error' when trying to update/install Flash Player

I have a previous version of Flash player while trying to update. The installation doesn't make it beyond 5% before saying "connection error". I tried all the troubleshooting steps and even tried to uninstall. When I try to download the uninstall program, I get a page on safari that says "safari cannot connect to the server" (I also tried it on firefox, same problem). I tried to locate it in my bar tools and applications to uninstall from there with no luck, it disappeared completely. Not in my trash, nowhere. Don't know what else to do. I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5. When I check for Adobe to see if it is installed on my computer, it says that a previous version is installed, 16.0.0.

  • Popups after upgrading Flash Player

The following screenshots are examples of pop ups I get after "redevelopment" Flash Player.  In addition, due to virus alert, I installed MacKeeper, but did not buy it.  I decided I didn't want it and followed a tutorial on Mac world to get rid of it.  I followed the instructions and I think I have all traces of outside.  But I don't know what to do about Flash Player.  Get rid of it to stop pop-ups?  Is it wise to get rid of the FP?  That could be used in its place for a music or video player?  I've updated before without incident, but this page does not look right to me.  I should go with my gut.  Look at the screenshot and tell me if this is an attempt to false.  The last time I had a situation similar (years) I took my computer to the Apple store and they told me that it was very good - no virus detected.  So I'm not too worried at this stage only.  But is there a program that I can trust that I can run if I feel the need?

    Thank you.

    ~ ~ Margo

    1. click here and follow the instructions, or if you do not delete rather manually the adware, launches MalwareBytes for Mac.

    2. it depends on what Web sites you use.

    3. If you need it, see #2.

MalwareBytes simplifies the process of removal of adware, but does not stop it or other malware from entering the computer. It should not be invoked to prevent future incidents; Instead, avoid downloading software from sources other than the Mac App Store or Developer Web sites. Flash should be downloaded in get.adobe.com, helpx.adobe.com or the Flash Player preferences system. do not accept the pop-up windows asking to install it.
