Formulas of YEW

can someone help me find a formula that will calculate the amount of delivery * 35 if the delivery is less than 1, so delivery = > 3 amount should be 100, if delivery = 6 amount must be equal to 200...

Hi mirjin,

There seems to be some gaps in your determination of the amount

Less than 01:35

equal to 1:?

equal to 2?

equal to 3:100

> 3: 100

equal to 6:200

>, but 6:100 ≠

Can clarify you, please.

Is 35 the minimum amount for delivery (delivery of 0.5 would have an amount of 35), or is it the multiplier (a delivery of 0.5 would have a $ 17.5)?

For the supply of 3 or 6, the amount seems to be delivery x 100 ÷ 3

Is there a flat rate? What is a rate of gradin?

You specify an amount for the supply of 6, but not an amount for deliveries of more than 6.

You do not specify an amount equal to or more than 3 deliveries. 7 exceeds 3 and is not equal to 6. Does this mean that the amount for a delivery of 7 has an amount of 100?

Offering a formula that returns the desired quantity should be easy, but to do so requires knowing how the amounts - how they relate to the delivery are determined.

So far, it is not clear.

Kind regards

Barry

  • Caveat "the formula uses a Boolean value instead of a number" would dismiss

    Hello!

I do a "Calculator" to get estimates of price for the projects, according to which processes the customer wants.

Rates for each process are added in another table, and I use the list of control buttons to enable or disable the various processes.

Here is an example of a formula:

D3 determines if the part of the project modeling is performed, so the price will be or will not be calculated.

If D3 is true, the result is multiplied by 1, give me a positive amount. If false, the result will be multiplied by 0, 0, so nothing to add to the final cost he send me some.

Same for B4 in the same formula.

This formula is repeated all over the chart, with minor changes to add more complex options, but it's all the same.

Everything works fine, but I got those blue triangles warning me of "the formula uses a Boolean value instead of the number". That's fine with me, I like the use of the Boolean types, and they make my formulas work well in my calculator. How can I reject the blue triangles?

They are a little annoying. And they do not really correspond with the general style of my calculator.

I saw someone talking other types of formulas, with SEARCH and yews, but who is really complicated and I don't know how to do... Especially for a simple calculator

    Hi Sinshassan,

I don't know a way to escape your blue flags except to make a formula which is consistent with the expected numbers. It is not difficult.

    My formula D2 = yew (AND(D1,B2), C2, 0)

The IF statement tests the two D1 AND B2. If they are true, then it indicates the value of C2 your carbon Modeling::High Poly #1, if one or both are false (unchecked) then 0 is displayed.

    Give it a try.

  • Use of formula number

    I need a fix.

The header 1 is lasting. If in the header is 2 or 3 x the value in 1 header will be copied in heading 4. If x is not present in 2 or 3, the value of the header 1 will be copied in heading 5.

    Thank you

    Hi onopilot,

Here is one approach. First note the format for the duration which recognize numbers. You can get the display to indicate what you have but your data entry should be as above if you don't want to fight against the program.

    D2 = IF (OR(B2="x",C2="x"), A2,"" ")

It copies the value in A2 if there is an 'x' in B2 or C2.

    E2 = IF (LEN (D2) 0, A2 ="," ")

This will check to see if there are characters in D2 and if there is not, copy the value in A2.

These two formulas can be filled down.

  • How to move cells containing formulas without absolute references and maintain cell references

I know about the selection of the absolute references, etc., but sometimes I'd like to be able to copy a group of cells with formulas and paste elsewhere all retaining the original cell references. For example, several cells with a formula referring to 'A1' continue referring to 'A1' even when I copy the cells elsewhere.

Is there a change of copy and paste (for example, command + option + C or something?) so that I can copy the same that in Excel, that does not change the cell references when you copy a formula elsewhere?

    Thank you!

    Hi jivejive,

I am not in anyway you want with a group of cells. I did it with individual cells by copying the function since the Inspector formula and then paste in the Inspector in the new location.

Hey guys - so I do business with a bit of a problem in number. I have a number table - the table above is a simplified representation of the corresponding parts of the table. The left column 'name' is a series of 12 names repeated and 0 missing values. The "string" middle column is a column that has a lot of missing values by a formula based on another column that is not relevant to this problem. Who is not missing is all strings. The problem I have is in the 'metric ': right column

I am trying to create a dynamic formula which will result in the numbers and blanks, exactly as above. My goal is to create a formula that, for each line, account the number of whites in the column 'chain' until we reach an empty 'string' which occurs next to "namesake" as in the line of housing the formula - and if there is no such a situation, so that it is empty. For example, if the second row (including header row) bears the name of "Matthew". The next time that a white 'string' occurs next to the name "matthew" is tenth. The number of whites that occur between the second row, and the ninth is 5 (lines 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8). I manually coded a small part of the table to use something like this (which would be installed in cell C2 in this example):

    = IF (B2 = "", COUNTBLANK(B2:B9), "")

This formula produces the correct number for the first row of data (5), but it does not dynamically fulfill what I'm trying to do this since I am currently having the formula to find the next blank 'chain' that occur next to "name" in the formula line.

I hope that someone has encountered anything like this before. I tried to go through all the functions and numbers from formulas, but so far I have not found much success.

    Hi BaronDe,

I need to ask, "why you try to do this? So what you want is possible it will be a complex solution. It may be much easier to get your information in a different way. Indicate these blanks?

You should know that COUNTBLANK() will not count a cell with a formula, even if this formula resolves to «»

  • Formula works in a line, but the same formula (copied and pasted) work not in other rows.

I have a formula which, if there is a number in the box, multiplied by a price, then sums the results in a final column. I copied it in 7 rows. He changed that required line numbers, the formulas that look all right, but nothing than to do the work of other 6, it seems to me unless I fill all the blank cells in row 0. Curiously, one that works is not that I typed the formula in the original line, and it has empty cells.

Here's the formula, each column has a product, then the cell is multiplied by a number, this number being the cost of the product. If there is no product sold, the cell is empty, so it is 0.

    Ideas?

    Thank you!

Here's a way to do what you call:

I guess constant multipliers are immutable, when used on different lines...

In this example, the multipliers are stored on the first line (but can be anywhere you like).

    A2 = SUMPRODUCT (B$ 1: $ 1, B2:P2 P)

It's shorthand dethrone select cell A2, and then type (or copy and paste it here) the formula:

    = SUMPRODUCT(B$1:P$1, B2:P2)

    Select cell A2, copy

Select cells A2 at the end of the column, paste

The constants are set up like this:

Here is the table already set up (you can copy and paste here) then you can just add the formula:

  • Excel "Delete content" is also the removal of formulas

I've duplicated a worksheet and you want to delete the content but not the formulas. I know going in Edition > erase > content is supposed to erase the data, but leaves intact forms; However, it is clearing my formulas as well. Any ideas, what could go wrong and how to fix it? : S

(Second question would be best place to ask this question, as my selections of community seemed somewhat limited!)

Clear content has always cleared all the "content", including the formulas in Excel.

Therefore, select only the cells that have data (not formulas) and then clear the contents in these specific cells or columns instead.

  • Strings, the formula = numeric values?

is there a way of having a cell to display a string numbers, but when this cell is referenced in a formula it will be used as a numerical value? See screenshot.

I want the storage capacity label.

I want the strings displayed in column A to represent numeric values in column B.

then "128 GB" = 0.13. or "128 GB" = B2. I need a cell to associate it with the value of the other.

My goal is to make a column of pop-ups with storage capacities that can be used in a formula in another table.

If you choose "128 GB" I want its value to be 0.13

I prefer to use a table of choice like that.

    (1) create a table (as you have) that contains the list of text and the corresponding values

I named the 'TaillePour Value' table

In the table where you want to use, use the following formula:

    C2 = SIERREUR (IF (VLOOKUP (B2, TaillePour Value::A:B, 2, 0) = 0, ' ", VLOOKUP (B2, TaillePour Value::A:B, 2, 0))," ")

It's shorthand dethrone select cell C2, then type (or copy and paste it here) the formula:

    = SIERREUR (IF (VLOOKUP (B2, TaillePour Value::A:B, 2, 0) = 0, ' ", VLOOKUP (B2, TaillePour Value::A:B, 2, 0))," ")

    Select cell C2, copy

Select cells C2 at the end of the C column, paste (or as needed)

    Hello

I have a pop up menu with five different choices in it. I also have a date next to each choice, basically I want to insert a formula into the pop-up menu to tell if it is beyond the date in cell A1 then change the pop-up menus to choose from one of the options automatically without having to click on it myself. Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Rob,

You ask what I would call dynamic or auto update of popup windows. Unfortunately, this is not something that can make numbers. Would it be possible to have a cell next to be updated according to the date and the choice of the popup. If you need help with that, please provide more details.

  • Nested formula helps VLOOKUP/IF/AND/SUM?

    Hello

I use 3.6.2 on an iMac numbers to make a spreadsheet of accounts for my partner who is independent and desperate self with its accounts.

The worksheet aims so he could enter its revenues and expenses (and easily), then for the spreadsheet sort the data in the months/years, etc., which can then be calculated as profit/loss etc. As he was loose with his accounts and catch up, I thought it would be convenient and save countless piles of sorting on the floor of the reception hall! Formulas combos I've tried so far, however, do not work! So I was hoping someone with more knowledge could enlighten us.

So far, I have created 3 main leaves, revenue, expenses and exercises (as pictured below).

For each month in the year, I would like to that it search for "revenue" "Billing month" and "Year" then add UP the values in "amount paid".

For example, for April 2015 - search ' April' AND ' 2015/16 ' SUM then all the "amount paid values" meets the criteria to end up with a monthly income total. I tried a range of formulas, but nothing seems to work properly, but I'm sure it's possible and logical, right? What do you think?

The same thing that I hope for expenses. Research of the month & year (that I happen to be the same as the sheet of revenue) and total monthly SUM for the corresponding values. I could also fit the same formula for categories, to then make a table to see where spending will etc.

I'm used to some basic formulas and can see the logical way to pursue this goal, but do not have the know-how to achieve this more complex formula! Hours in google didn't really help either! the syntax and exclamation error still appear somewhere!

If anyone has any suggestions/advice form, they would be very appreciated! I am happy to share the final worksheet (if everything will work well) with any such freelancers / small businesses that have similar problems with soft accounting!

    Thank you very much

    Chloe

    Hi clrey,

I would like to recommend SUMIFS() as your go to formula to obtain a total of say, "bindings" on April 16.

Give it a try and after return with specific questions, if things do not work as expected.

  • Using checkboxes with formulas

I made a spreadsheet that uses checkboxes to indicate my formula cells to sum. It works very well. Now I face a new challenge.

Let's say I have 2 check boxes. Can I make if checkbox is checked 'A', 'B' is unchecked and vice versa.

I have several checkboxes, but some may not be active at the same time for my purposes.

    Hi mj,.

N ° boxes are independent of each other.

The type of control you want is called "radio buttons," which are not supported in number.

You can set a flag in a separate cell, by using conditional formatting. For the simple case, where the only one box must be checked, the installation is also simple.

Same table.with a different set of boxes checked:

The cells of the B, D and F columns than this rule of conditional highlighting:

I showed with two slightly different colors for the police and filling. In use, two would have the same conditional color.

Similarly, I used a light gray for the color of text by default. In use, I would use a matching color to the fill color 'normal' of the cell or in the color of the background, if a fill color has been attributed to these cells.

The formula in B2 and filled to the bottom of this column count the number of TRUE values (ie. checked of cells) in column A and compares this value with a number to help >. The comparison returns TRUE or FALSE.

    B2: COUNTIF(A,TRUE) > 1
