  Unlike ESX3.x, ESX4 supports virtual IDE drives, so you should not have to convert the disc before. I recommend using the free VMware Converter standalone (or if you have vCenter converter integrated company) to import the virtual machine to an ESX Server.

  I run a small infrastructure at a public library. When I started working there last year, I did a good amount of server consolidation using GSX 1.4 on top of Debian 4. Currently, we run 8 servers in a HP Proliand DL 320 3gz, 4 GB of ram and 2x80gb SCSI 10 k disks. It is our infrastructure entire backedn.

That would be all that I need? all I want is 2 SAS 300 GB hot swapable drives. Currently, we have everything on the 2 x 80 GB drives and space is tight.

  Is the best option for raid 5? I thought I had read that you do not want to run virtual machines in a RAID 5 configuration? True? the DL 360 has 4 drive bays. What is the best way to implement VMWARE using all the 4 drive bays then.

  Once someone has physical access to your computer, they can access all of your information and leave a malicious software they like on your system.

  The only thing to do after what happens is to reformat the hard drive and reinstall OS X.

  First make a copy of your data.

  Then start command + option + r choose utility disk and erase the entire hard drive (top icon). Now, to partition your disk, you must create at least a partition for Mac OS X, which should be formatted for OS X Extended, partition scheme GUID that is the default value.  Make sure that you are connected to the internet via Wi - Fi or ethernet.

  I can't say how your sister found the phone number above for Apple Support.  Clearly, it's a scam.
