Free slot in my Satellite 1900

I have a 1900-303. In the space where you can install the extra RAM, it has a location for another card. The service manula field refers to a min PCI card.
Anyone know what that, what he did, and I should get a. Thank you very much, Richard

  • Upgrade memory satellite 1900-303.

Hi, I just bought 1 GB of memory (2 modules of 512 MB) to upgrade my 1900-303. However, when I opened upward, first of all I don't see the memory modules and second memory does not. According to the manual, it will take 144 pin sodimm pc133 modules. That's what I bought.

Anyone upgraded the memory on their 1900-303 and if yes what memory did you use?

    Thank you.

    Hello
I m a bit confused about your manual!

I ve contributed to my colleague that the upgrade of its Satellite 1900 305.

This machine has PC2100 DDR - RAM and the laptop can handle the maximum of 768 MB memory!
And there is only one expandable slot at the bottom of the machine.

I Don t think the Satellite-303 and -305 are different in the memory usage. So you'd better try exchanging your memory modules first.

  • Satellite 1900-303: 2 location is configurable?

I have a satellite 1900-303 and I ask someone to tell me, please, if the memory expansion slot 2 is configurable. If this is the case, for what? To share the video memory?
I saw on a site that is configurable, but on the users manual is not mentioned that and I need to be sure before you buy another memory module.

    Hello

Your device has no shared memory option and all of the memory is identified as system memory. Adding a new module of memory is very good idea due to the performance of the system.

  • PCMCIA USB2.0 can operate in Satellite 1900-303?

Hi, I have a toshiba satellite 1900 303 without usb2.0 ports, and I tested 6 pcmcia to USB 2.0 card 5 different manufacturers (investment, iconnex, sunix, conceptronic and a belkin powered) and the pc without exception hangs until I remove the card from the slot. Sometimes when I go into an external hard disk or a USB key, both directly connected to the card. However, I was able to transfer all the photos from my digital camera (30) to the computer laptop.

I wanted that someone said if he managed to make the use of a pcmcia card to USB 2.0 in this model or similar and how, or otherwise shared his experience to not waste any more time with this, with things like format the pc or other. I am not a computer expert, but I think that there is no real certainty on this issue, let's hope I'm wrong.

  • Satellite 1900-803: Hi-Speed USB 2.0 card does not work

I have a portable satellite 1900-803. I recently bought and installed a Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Notebook Card, but it does not work. Manual of the card says that after the successful installation, I'd see a second 'USB bus controllers' heading which I did not. I even it was replaced by another one thinking that there could be some problems with the drivers, but it still does not work. whenever I plug in a device such as an mp3 player, a digital camera or a usb storage device, windows locks all of a sudden upward, won't move the cursor, the function ctrl-alt-del does not work and the worst of it, I can't turn off the machine!

the map shows that it runs on any 32-bit location.

I have the manual and the Device Manager to see if mine is a 32-bit, but I don't really know. This is probably the reason why it doesn't work? or is there another reason to make it work not? If this is the reason why, is there a way where I can upgrade my laptop's pc card slot to make it work?

    Help, please.

I posted this question yesterday morning and did not get a single response. is it because it has to do with an older laptop? Please, someone, help...

    Hello

Have you checked the Bios? I guess that the Bios Toshiba was preinstalled on your laptop. Am I wrong? There should be an option to change the PC Card controller mode.

Here, you can change the mode of the automatic selection, CCIP compatible controller or card bus/16-bit.
If the card supports 32-bit so you should use the 16-bit option.

I think you should play a little with this option and possibly that the card will work.

  • Cannot find the memory of the satellite 1900 203

My satellite 1900 203 has a memory problem and I want to replace it.
The manual says there is no memory which is really internal and fixed to the motherboard. The memory would be on 2 slots extension, available for the upgrade to 1 GB.
On the place indicated, I see a location for a memory, but it is empty. Place a module of memory here upgraded the size, but does not solve the problem.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the internal memory, if it is fixed or not and give me the part number.

    Thank you!

    Hello
the part number for your 1900-xxx:
    PA3126U - 1 M 12 PC2100 128 MB
    PA3127U - 1 M 25 PC2100 256 MB
    PA3164U - 1 M 51 PC2100 512 MB

The internal memory module is placed in a standard memory slot under the keyboard. You must remove the little plastic cover where the Power On button. Then, you will see two screws that hold the keyboard. After removing, turn the keyboard on the palm rest. Then on the MOA, you will see a small sheet of aluminum foil. • Upgrade of RAM for Satellite 1900-603

I want to go to 1 GB of RAM IE extra 512 MB on my laptop P4 Satellite 1900-603, I checked the (additive) manual and it says ' onboard two 200 pins + 2.5V DDR SO-DIMM sockets supporting RAM DDR memory modules. Upgrade 1 GB by two max modules of 512 MB memory.

I couldn't find the part number on the Toshiba site, so I checked the website of Kingston, which gave me KTT3311/512 or KTT3614/512, I bought KTT3311/512 of this notice.

Unfortunately, when I come to install the part the second slot is smaller than the original square. That is to say fewer pins.

The RAM I bought is the part of the original square, but obviously does not fit in the spare slot.

Could someone tell me what the part number is for the smaller RAM and why this information is not available on the Web from Toshiba website or in the manual, including the additive.

    Hello

I ve downloaded the manual for Satellite 1900-603 PS192E series and he says the basic soecifications of the memory being used are:

    SDRAM 3,3 volts
    PS-133 (PC - 100 is unusable)
Capacity of 128 MB, 256 MB, or 512 MB.

    But according to this page:

Is it OK to use a hard drive from another provider? I want to use a Hitachi drive, which is less expensive, but it will be compatible?
    Thanks in advance!

Don't know anything about Hitachi, but what speaks against an exchange of hard drive?
The most important is the measures of the hard drive.

  • Is Satellite 1900 305 supports internal microphone

Apologize in advance for what I'm afraid is a stupid question, but need a final answer before I spend more time investigating the potentially futile.

Satellite 1900-305 has a built in microphone?

I'm trying to get my friend (whose book it is) upward and running with Skype. See "sound and Audio" capacity/parameters in the control gives the 'impression' Panel is a built-in microphone, I was not able to get Skype or Microsoft Sound Recorder works, so suspect it is not. If this is the case, any suggestions for a cheap microphone and where to get a greatly appreciated.

Running XP Home Edition SP2 and just downloaded latest version of Skype.
Not sure about the audio drivers.
In my view, there are some drivers available here as of June 2008, which I think are more recent than those currently installed and will gladly download and try if it has an internal microphone and the answers are that is what I have to do.

    Thank you

    Hello

    > Is the Satellite 1900 305 has a built in microphone?

Satellite 1900 305 does not support the internal mic.
This laptop supports the external microphone jack and you can connect an external microphone to this Jack to record an audio or use Skype.
